Excellent pre cruise hotel at a great price.

It was comfortable, a basic room. Bed was just right amount of soft with support. IMMACULATE was the only way to describe our room.

My hotel in Genoa

The staff were very helpful and friendly and fluent in English. My room was very clean and comfortable with nice white sheets and towels. The air-conditioning was effective and the smart TV had many options. The location was very close to the principal railway station of Genoa.

Great hotel near the Port, train and bus stations

This is a great small hotel close to train and bus station. It's rated as 2 star, but felt like a 3 star hotel. Room large and nicely appointed. Great staff. Highly recommended.

Hotel Chopin, a friendly, quiet and comfortable place to stay in Genoa

Hôtel Chopin is across the street from the Piazza Principe and the main train station for Genoa. This was a plus for me as I traveled by train from France to the city. Below the train station is also the subway system so it’s quite easy to move throughout the city. That being said, some might like to be more in the “heart” of the old town. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast, although a continental style, has a good selection.

A few more fruit options for breakfast I.e. oranges, bananas, apricots

Excellent location to the train and bus station. Staff were courteous and very helpful. Great price for a large room with a private bathroom. Really nice personal breakfast.

Friendly English-speaking staff, reception available 18 hours daily. Five minutes’ walk from station. Comfy beds. Very clean. Large bathroom with good shower. Large efficient lift. Modest extra cost for good breakfast.

A great choice conveniently located and with fantastic staff

The hotel is around the corner from the train station which is so convenient, as well as a great Internet cafe. The staff was resplendently helpful, warm and welcoming. The room is basic but just fine. we had to work and they were fine about us using the breakfast room after breakfast.

Good location and warm welcome

On check-in I was provided with a map and lots of info on all the sites. Location near the train station was convenient.

The airconditioner in my room wasn't working and the cold water wasn't working either. Temperature was well over 30 degrees and it was very uncomfortable. I was moved to another room, but only after making a bit of a fuss as I was initially told it would only be fixed the next day. Maintenance issues happen, but it should have been handled better by the guy at the front desk.

People who work there are very helpful and nice. I had lovely chats with 2 of the receptionists, one of them being local. It is a clean hotel; maintenance people are doing their jobs well.

The are is not so safe after dark. It is a railway and port zone. All kind of people...

The location was not very safe. we did not feel very safe in the area of the hotel and even we decided to take a taxi instead of walking back from the port. Even the hotel door was locked all the time and to get into the reception from outside or even from inside you have to ring a bell and they have to let you in.

A clean room with an excellent location, a minute walk from Príncipe station. perfect for a short break. The gentleman on reception was very helpful and gave us lots of tips about how to best enjoy Genoa

The room decoration was basic, but given the price this is heavily outweighed by the positives above
