Key code room near station

It was convenient for the station and for visiting the city.

It was a key code room so I had to receive the code before I arrived, which in this case worked alright but I do not like these arrangements and prefer a hotel with a reception.

Very easy to get to from the station and close to the places we planned to visit. Helpful staff. Good view from the room.

Overall, everything was great, but I wouldn't opt for breakfast again.

* Location * Interior * Staff (especially the guys at the reception – perfect English, a great sense of humor, they create an amazing atmosphere). We were checked in earlier, and additional requests (a cot for the child) were fulfilled.

* Breakfast was not good. There were too many people and not enough space, and the staff couldn't keep up with replenishing the food. * The kettle in the common area had heavy limescale (you really need to clean it thoroughly).

The staff was amazing and looked out for us two female travelers giving us advice on safer routes and what not. I love the huge european window, the room itself was humongous, and storage space was good. Also it sis directly outside the train station. It doesn’t get better than that!

Convenient location, basic comfort, avoid the breakfast.

Location was convenient. A short walk from the via Garibaldi and the old port and right next to the Principe train station (ideal for the train to Cinque Terre). Nice view from the room.

Noisy airconditioning. The hotel accepts large groups (dropped off in the evening and leaving early in the morning) but is underequipped and understaffed to handle breakfast for such groups. Every morning we found ourselves at 7h15 in a breakfast room where it was difficult to find a clean table (for 3) and where basic things were missing after the early morning group had passed (no yoghurt, coffee machine out of service, no coffee cups, no bowls. When we asked fthe staff for some yoghurt (at 7h15), the simple answer was “no”. Same experience every morning we were there.

All the staff were very helpful and kind. The hotel is close to the touristic area. We had a bad experience with the breakfast, but the staff were very helpful and offered it complimentary.

The breakfast room was small, and it was very crowded on Sunday. I couldn't find a fork and wasn’t able to enjoy my breakfast properly. The parking area is not free, but there is a discount available.

Very conveniently located right outside the train station and bus stand. Very modern rooms with a good layout and a nice vintage elevator. I was given a free upgrade as well upon arrival. Bed was super comfy.

Beautiful, atmospheric hotel in a central location.

I first visited this hotel 25 years ago in my backpacking stage and I was so happy to revisit it, now renovated very well (although I did miss the old, old style, but things change...). The staff was very helpful about everything. And the train station location can't be beat.

In an ideal world, the parking would be closer, but given the central location, I understand that we had to park in the train station parking lot.

I guess the light switches of the room were a bit confusing at first and they could put up some signs to make finding the breakfast room easier. But that's just nitpicking :)

Superb

They upgraded my room for a bigger one with double bed which was a nice surprise! The price I paid was a bit much for me for the room I originally booked but with the upgrade the room was definitely worth the price. The room was nice and the bed was comfy. The location was great, just next to the railway station and one of the mains streets was just around the corner. The staff was super nice. Breakfast was included and it was okay, had all the basics.

I liked my room very much. It was big and bright and clean. I liked the position. It wasn´t exactly in the center, but I wanted to take a train numerous times and the hotel is next to the train station (Piazza Principe), so it was very convenient for me. The guy at the reception is very polite.

I didn´t like that there was no socket in the bathroom, so I had to use my hair straightener next to the bed, far away from the mirror. I was thinking how do men do it with their shaver? I think a box of tissues and a small hand cream in the room would be nice for this price. What I really didn´t like was the staff's behavior. I arrived and just wanted to leave my luggage. But it seemed that I was bothering the lady. She didn´t even need to stand up. She seemed very annoyed every time I passed the reception. And the best came with my checkout. Another lady asked me if there was something I didn´t like during my stay. I replied that nothing comes to my mind, but if something will come, I will write it in my review. She replied: No, we want the best score, so say it now or don´t write it there. Me: Ok, so I don´t know. She: So, will you give us ten stars? ...yes, sure, for this uncomfortable situation...why not...why do they have to push so hard?
