New bathroom but not heating in, electric heating in room,was very warm,bed not too confortable,not good matress

Not good value for money.

Not a lot

The wall heater did not work. I was cold. The light came on at the switch for a heated towel rail but there was no heated appliance. The skylight over the bed made a loud drumming noise over my head when it rained. The television is in an impractical position for comfortable viewing. No shower curtain. No cupboard - indeed no space to install one - in which to hang clothes. At over £50 for an uncomfortable night this was far too expensive.

The room was snug, quaint and well-equipped, the staff friendly and it was a quick and handsome downhill walk into town

we were rather shocked to have a random man unlock our room door and enter our room in the middle of the night. Don't know how he had a key that could unlock our door. He was confused and after a minute or two of us trying to convince him that it wasn't his room, he left and relocked the door as he went. Could have been so much worse, luckily he was not looking to cause trouble. looking through the reviews, this is not an isolated occurance with room 2. I also noted the toilet wasn't very clean when we arrived and the coffee cups smelled bad. shame as otherwise excellent value for money.

It is a good walk in to the town centre, otherwise could not fault. Would like to know if the room features a bath or shower in advance.

The staff are lovely and friendly. The pub felt welcoming and,, as a female travelling alone, i felt safe here. The location was great for me.

The pillows could've been newer and the decor fresher, but these are minor things.

No breakfast so we left first morning

I booked a bed and breakfast only to be told on the first morning they dont do breakfast even though the online information gives time for breakfast. We cancelled the rest of the stay and moved to a proper hotel.

No breakfast and noisy fan in bathroom. Keys didnot work to get back in and had to wait over 10 minutes in the cold for it to be sorted room key was also tempremental.

A perfect antidote to Travelodge (Travelodge in Worcesester...never again).

We've never stayed here before but chose The Old Bell as a half way house on our way home from Worcester. And it turned out to be a very positive experience. Our family room was at ground level and very very good for the price. We enjoyed a pie dinner for our evening meal and the room heater worked and kept the room warm.

No one paid attention... ... when I responded to the reservation-confirmation email, advising you/them/whomever that an incorrect email addresses was entered for the reservation. So now you're asking someone who did not use the service to rate the service. I can only guess the service was clumsy, inattentive, and entirely unaware.

Got what I paid for,a room,bed bathroom.

Very freindly lady who checked me in, bathroom was a good size. Tea making facilities.

The mattress needs to be replaced! As soon as you sat on it or laid down,you fell into the saggy part of the middle, no support or firmness at all.Would of liked a bit more space in the room,it was a bit cramped if you spent more than a few hours there.

We were warned that the lock on the door was due to be fixed and it proved a little tricky to open. Some lamps on the bedside tables would be helpful rather than having to switch on the main lights

They let me check in early which was much appreciated. Nice little room with almost everything you could need. Despite what I've read in some of the other reviews, I had no issues with noise. Only about a fifteen minute walk from central Shrewsbury.

No wardrobe. I had some hooks on the bathroom door with hangers. Not a deal breaker but might be annoying if you're traveling with a lot of clothing.

With a little more thought, The Old Bell could be even better.

The Bell inn is located about a half mile from the station and close to Shire Hall and so easier to find when travelling by car

The room was a little cramped . I often read in the evenings and for this purpose the lighting was not very good

Thick layer of dust on headboard, wall and fittings. Broken plug in sink. Broken and rusty shower tray. No hand towels. Bath mat was old and had threads hanging off. Old bath towels albeit clean. The door didn't feel secure as it rattled on closure. Outside door was left open so anyone could walk in. Very squeaky floorboards from room above. No shelf to put things on in bathroom.

We was there 2 nights got woke up 9 30 night by phone call didn’t even realise checked in then woke up from upstairs person making noise late for about 1 half hours complained to member of staff she was rude didn’t care 3rd time went down to speak she involved bar punters why she then got lady running place i said to both lady’s come listen in our room not 1 wanted to plus no cleaner had to use yesterdays towel plus when I asked lady running place members of public was listening and staring me out staff behind bar Emma whispers in manages.ear so bad then came outside to listen why plus said it’s cheap for reasons I said don’t matter if £10 on holiday to recharge sleep inportant

Quirky single room, comfortable and clean and very competitive price. Pub downstairs nice with excellent traditional beers and good food at reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again when in Shrewsbury
