The location is amazing and the facilities in the main block and garden courtyard are wonderful.
While the property is listed as dog-friendly, pets are not welcome in the main house areas, lounges and bar area, which meant we couldn’t use some of the best facilities

Lovely building, lovely lounge, restaurant area for breakfast - the room was small but cosy and well decorated.
The bed was so squeaky, I woke every time my husband turned over at night, the mattress was also the firmest mattress I have ever slept on.

The staff, room itself, and location were lovely
There is a distinct lack of soundproofing, so having a groundfloor room made it impossible to sleep until the couple above had finished repeatedly arguing and banging around for hours. Had there been a manned reception, I would have asked to change rooms. As it was, we did go to sleep until those in the room above had run out of steam.
