Location was ideal, in the heart of Shrewsbury within an easy walk to shops and all attractions. The hotel was full of history and character, combined with comfortable bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The restaurant was exceptional - we had the taster menu - and breakfast was excellent. Good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely old building in a great location, handy for the bus and train stations and surrounded by lots of places to eat. I skipped breakfast as I'd eaten so much food the evening before - which was a shame but it is what it is.
The bed wasn't the most comfortable I've slept in. As a single person, I like to sleep in the middle but this wasn't really possible as the mattress had clearly been shaped by the constant body weights of couples and it had what felt like a hard 'ridge' in the middle. The free water and lots of tea, coffee, milk provisions was excellent. I wish hotel rooms had larger wall tvs but that's just a minor gripe.

Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Shower facilities were excellent. We enjoyed good breakfast with a varied choice on the menu. The location was excellent right in the centre of town to reach all the tourist visit areas.
Our room was a little small and perhaps there could have been some less items taking up space and not used. We appreciate we may have chosen the smallest room when booking.

Lovely hotel in Tudor building. Very nice room with large comfortable bed, and all facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Location is right in the middle of the town, so it is perfectly located for all the local places of interest, pubs, bars and restaurants. Unfortunately, we missed the opportunity to try the restaurant which looks very good.
