Excellent place to stay in Inverness. Comfortable, clean and just like home.

Hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was very good. Nice touch to have sherry available in the room. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The location was very quiet and the check in/out was a breeze.

Would have been nice to have blackout shades in the room.

Val and Paul were amazing! Better than I could have expected! Warm, kind environment and everything was super clean and accommodating. Food was on point! Cooked to order and amazing! I was a bit under the weather, and Val offered to make me a hot toddy! You can’t go wrong with these amazing, kind, friendly, awesome people! 10 10 10

Beautiful rooms, clean, great breakfast, lovely owners.

The owners are warm and welcoming, the breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are spotless—beautifully decorated with great care and attention to detail.

My room faced the main street, so there was noticeable traffic noise throughout the day and night. Next time, I’ll definitely choose a room on the quieter side of the building.

Spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast, lovely room

Avalon is a very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-decorated B&B. The owners obviously take great pride and care of their property and there are lots of little touches that make you feel very welcome. Our room was a good size and well appointed, with a large comfortable bed, smart oak furniture and pretty decor. Breakfast was delicious, with a good selection of buffet items as well as a selection of cooked-to-order choices on offer. Although the location is not in the town centre, that was not an issue for us and there is on-site parking . Check-in was early - from 4pm to 7pm - so be aware of that if it may be an issue for you. We would certainly stay at Avalon again and highly recommend it to you.

Hot water curfew after 7pm!

Cleanliness

The broilers stop at 7pm. I arrived around 10 from dinner to take a shower, and the water was cold! The manager said that, that is how it is, so no real solution. That was unpleasant. It was written in small letters in the bunch of house rules that were handed, but never in Booking. A lot of house rules, I felt like in the military and not on holidays.

Beyond Expectations

Everything! Val and Paul are great hosts. The room was beautiful and comfortable. With a little bottle of sherry if you need a nip at bedtime. The room also had a small fridge. The made to order breakfast was fantastic! They have gluten free options so if you have dietary restrictions let them know when you book. It is on a main road so easy to find, but the room was still quiet. Easy walk to centre (20 minutes). Historic graveyard across the street with great views of town from top. There was lots of on site parking
