Not suitable as a work stay over and didn’t feel comfortable as a solo female traveler, with only WhatsApp to contact of

Room was small but lovely very clean

No staff around and room 10 has no soundproofing. It’s right next to the kitchen, which is used through the night despite ‘quiet time’ signs. After two nights of very little sleep, I checked out early and didn’t stay for the third night.

We stayed 3 nights and it was very nice the room was spacious for considering it was a room containing free single beds it was nice and clean With plenty of storage

The shower was not powerful enough and there was no coffee and tea replacements

Not very happy

Very good location,kitchen facilities are ok.

We were in room 6 which shares the bathroom and toilet with room 5. I knew it was shared and expected room 5 to be a double like ours but no, it was a family of 4 adults in the other room so six of us shared 1 toilet along with a shower. I had to wait 30 minutes to go and do my need in 1 minute. The room was over a busy road so it was super noisy. We’ve been there for 4 nights and nobody came into the room to clean the bin.

My stay at Melrose Villa 2025

The place was amazing. It is very well located, close to the train station and a supermarmet. There are wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood as well. The room was well equipped, featuring a toilet, a TV, some snacks, a blow dryer etc. I'm very much pleased by my time spent in Inverness, and I would definitely come back again!

The check-in experience was very smooth. The instructions were clearly explained in the message, along with the video. The room was spotless. I was in a twin room and had a shared bathroom with shower. It was well-maintained as well.

Scammed by false damage request

They accused us of smoking afterwards to get ab150 pounds damage fee - scammy. Also - room is much smaller than on the pictures and walls are very thin - can hear your neighbor caughing and listen to every step of someone above you.

The bed was uncomfortable, the room was stifling, the location was very good.

The location was good. The room, though very small, was sufficient

Booking the room was frustrating as there was a long application to be filled out online. Each time I filled out the form it said that I was booked. Next came a letter from the hotel saying I had not included enough information. This happened about three times before I was able to contact an individual who was helpful in asking for all three required documents in a reply to the email. Working on a phone while travelling is not ideal. The contact with the company was difficult. I could not open the window. The warming towel rack would not shut off. As a result, the tiny room felt stifling. There was no help from the online staff either in turning off the warming rack or opening the window. Guests travelling from different countries need help in things that are obvious to locals - like opening a window. I spoke to a frustrated couple who asked if I knew how to operate a washing machine they had been trying to turn on for the last half hour.

My sister and I had to book another hotel the our same night staying there, very misleading.

Didn't stay for the breakfast. The room was very tiny, no A/C. The description was very misleading. I didn't like anything.

The advertisement should have been accurate. The dryer almost set our clothes on fire. The room was tiny. It was a horrible experience since it was always my dream to visit Scotland. I had to leave there and pay again for another place in Glasgow. Unfortunately.

Horrendous checkin process, great housekeeper, excellent location.

Checkin procedure was way too complex. I had a terrible time as I did not have wifi access and the staff in the phone was sending messages in What’s app which I never use. I was confirmed but not my husband re difficulties in scanning his passport and such. I helped 3 more couples in the checkin process so I was not the only one that faced difficulties.

A good place to stay

Excellent location - only 10 minutes walk from the town centre/train station. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Had cooking facilities and a fridge.

Room was very small. It was difficult for two adults to move around at the same time. However, it was publicised as a “small double room” so no false advertising there!

It was a very short time booking. So I was happy, it worked. The room was small, the bathroom was good size. It was very quiet and the bed has been excellent. The location is good. If you arrive by train or bus it is a 5 - 10 minutes walk. Grocery store is nearby and the downtown area is only a 5 minutes walk.

The shower was changing water temperature. The check-in procedure demands a good knowledge using your smart phone and it is probably expected that you have data. As I have neither one of them I would have been lost without the help of a friend.

Unfortunately the toilet in my room started pumping out poo water. A lot of it. I was moved to a room that had damp spores in the shower tray.

Quaint room

The property had all the facilities I needed. It was nice to have a place to keep meals with the property having a shared kitchen. The shared living room was quiet when I went inside and cosy to enjoy a meal. My room was neat and comfy and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the bathroom.

Feels like having your own house in Inverness.

I stayed for 3 nights in a one person bedroom with private bathroom. The room was rather small, but spatious enough for one and was very clean. Downstairs there was a kitchen and living room that could be used, so you are not confined to your own room and it is cost-saving that you can prepare your own food. Just two streets away there is a big supermarket. An excellent choice for the budget savvy traveller! And bonus points since you get the feel of a real house!

The kitchen was equiped with a washing machine, cooker with oven and a microwave, but a few more pots and pans would have been handy.

Obiekt położony w niewielkiej odległości od dworca autobusowego (ok 10 min spacerkiem) co umożliwiało korzystanie z licznych połączeń do pobliskich miejscowości położonych wokół jeziora Loch Ness oraz ofert wyjazdowych na dalsze podróże np. na wyspę Skye. W pobliżu znajduje się sklep Tesco, gdzie można zaopatrzyć się w produkty do sporządzania śniadań i obiadów i je przygotować w bardzo dobrze wyposażonej kuchni.

Podczas kąpieli występowały zaniki wody a czasami były problemy z ustawieniem odpowiedniej temperatury wody do kąpieli.

Sehr gute Unterkunft in Inverness

Wir waren positiv überrascht von der mySTAYINN Melrose Villa: Es handelt sich um eine alte Villa mit Gemeinschaftswohnzimmer und -küche ca. 10 Minuten Gehzeit vom Bahnhof entfernt. Die Zimmer haben fast alle ein eigenes Bad. Wir waren besorgt, da wir nur mehr ein Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad ergattert hatten, aber wir haben ein WC und ein separates Bad mit Dusche und WC mit unserem Nachbarzimmer geteilt und das war total okay. Wir kamen uns in den drei Tagen nie in die Quere und Gemeinschaftsbad und -räume waren immer sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Zimmer waren einigermaßen geräumig und sauber, aber etwas hellhörig (wir empfehlen Ohrenstöpsel). Wir würden die mySTAYINN Melrose Villa insgesamt weiterempfehlen.

Läget var bra, gångavstånd till centrum, ststiopmm

Litet rum. Vattnet i duschen tog slut efter 2 minuter, se kom det bara hett vatten. För att duscha fick man stänga av vattnet for att det skulle rinna till. Brandlarmet gick mitt i natten, ingen brandkår kom, inte heller fick vi tai ägaren. 2 dagar senare såg vi att ägaren var i köket och sökte orsaken till larmet.

Ottima posizione silenziosa e tranquilla. Struttura d'epoca molto confortevole Camera pulita, spazi comuni cucina e soggiorno comodi e attrezzati. Supermercato Tesco vicino.

In camera ogni tanto odore di fogna dal bagno. Purtroppo assenza ganci per asciugamani in bagno e mensole per appoggiare i beauty. In cucina troppa incuranza da parte degli ospiti.

Schönes Quartier - Probleme beim Einchecken

Die Zimmer und das Quartier war wirklich sehr in Ordnung, alles sehr ordentlich. Klare Empfehlung für das Quartier selbst und die Lage.

Das Einchecken über ein gesondertes Online-Portal, vor allem mit den zahlreichen zusätzlichen Fragen, Überprüfungen hat uns unterwegs schon einige Schwierigkeiten bereitet. Wenn auf Reisen ist, kontrolliert man nicht ständig einlangende Emails und zusätzliche Checks. Das sollte eigentlich allein über booking.com genügen. Dem war aber nicht so. Schließlich hat es noch Probleme bei der Übermittlung der SchlüsseCodes gegeben - die erst nach zwei Anrufen bei der Hotline gelöst werden konnten. Das geht auf jeden Fall besser, bzw. ist übertrieben und unnötig. Wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, ist es in der Umgebung schweirig einen Parkplatz zu finden.

Tepper på gulvene. Mye slamring med dører, bråkete gjester. Uten stab tilstede er det mange som tar seg til rette. Dårlig avtrekk på kjøkkenet.
