We LOVED everything about this resort! Room, facilities, location, dining, spa. Staff are absolutely wonderful! And the best ever Balinese massage. We were sorry to leave and hope to be able to return for a longer visit.

Once we took a Taxi from Denpasar airport to Ubud. My fiancée and me were not knowing exactly where we are going. But, when we arrived the property at night and We were welcomed, registered, and taken to our room. We felt an immense sense of comfort and an indescribable feeling. I can describe it as "STUNNED”
I just want to describe it as Paradise.

A Stay to Remember
This hotel really leaves an impression from the moment you arrive. The views are the star of the show. Every look outside feels picture-perfect. I visited the property with my Family and all of us loved it.
The restaurant is a real highlight. With such an amazing backdrop, eating here feels more like an experience than just a meal. The food is well presented, the service is friendly and attentive, and the views make you want to sit back and take your time. It’s the kind of place where you don’t rush, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Staff are friendly and accommodative.
The rooms are comfortable and well designed, making them a great place to relax after a day out. Waking up to those views is definitely something you don’t get tired of. The spa also is a excellent place that everyone can enjoy.
Overall, this hotel combines great views, excellent dining, and a calm, welcoming vibe. A perfect spot if you’re looking to unwind, celebrate, or just enjoy a stay with an amazing view.
The Front office can be better but it might be a one time issue so nothing to complain

The bedding and the general room felt damp and smelling of damp

In the morning you might spot monkeys on your terrace, and at night you’ll hear geckos and all sorts of jungle sounds. The Balinese-style rooms are beautiful, with modern bathrooms. The breakfast and dinner are truly outstanding – served open-air but under a roof, with a wonderful view of the jungle.
The service deserves six stars – the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they really make you feel like royalty. We felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of here!
Having a car definitely makes sense.
Nothing. Perhaps a bit more lighting in the rooms, but this is complaining about luxury problems

I had wanted to stay at Ayung for some time and it did not disappoint! I stayed in the most beautiful room overlooking the valley and river. You could hear the river at night but I found this very soothing and it was otherwise very quiet, which I found rare on this trip to Bali! Food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I travelled solo and felt safe the entire time at their resort. I would love to stay again and the view from the room was exceptional! I would note that this estate has a lot of hills and stairs. I do not mind stairs and their was a lot down to my particular room which I did not mind at all as it was more peaceful. However, if you have mobility issues I would inquire with the venue. They do have a shuttle which is helpful and lots of rooms without as many stairs. Inside the room was very flat.
It was all perect.

Staff was excellent
It was monsoon and the room were way too humid because of lack of isolation. This is an old building and if you like modern facilities I dont encourage

Outstanding natural location and construction, a living, breathing museum. The artwork all over the museum was stunning, monkey families frequent guests on our balcony and at breakfast, the staff went above and beyond to.attend to all our needs and requests. It felt very personal.
The property is a little older, and some of the facilities which are worn out could do with some updating, but you are in the heart of a jungle with the river so close you can hear the rushing water ....its magical and its great to turn off that critical eye and be swept away by the romance of it all.

What I loved most about my stay at Ayung Resort was the magical setting—nestled deep in the jungle with stunning views of the Ayung River valley. The resort felt like a spiritual retreat, surrounded by lush greenery and filled with traditional Balinese art and sculptures. The staff were incredibly warm, thoughtful, and professional, always going out of their way to ensure comfort. The villa was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless. Dining was a highlight, with delicious meals served in a serene open-air restaurant. Yes, the resort could benefit from some modernisation, as a few areas feel a bit dated, but this doesn’t detract from its overall beauty or the uniquely peaceful experience it offers.
Not a major issue but the resort would benefit from a freshen up in terms of paint work. Facilities were fantastic however and so this is only very minor.

Hard to know where to start at Ayung. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional. The staff were an amazing group, eager to help out in any way they could. We took on a number of suggested activities from a short village walk up through the rice fields and day tour with Yogi and loved each one of them (except the drive through central Ubud - take a wide berth, we'd say!). The valley the resort has been built within, overlooks the river and surrounding jungle and was quite breathtaking. Although it has been built in deep jungle on a very steep piece of land, the staff were only too happy to come and pick us up or drop us back to our room. The food was amazing and the cooking class was a real highlight with Landra the chef. We also enjoyed a fabulous massage at the onsite spa. All in all, a wonderful place to stay! Suksema to the whole Ayung Resort crew!!
No... it was all amazing!

The restaurant is amazing, we had all breakfast and dinner there, all were very good in taste, and we all loved it very much.
All the people are very nice and very helpful.
They have different free activities in the hotel and free afternoon tea every day.
The view from the hotel is amazing.
The spa was very relaxing.
The toilet in our room needs renovation.
There was a smell from the drainage in the toilet.

Very peaceful location with great views. Wait staff were very friendly throughout the stay, until we checked out then you are pretty much ignored.
The free complimentary 2pm checkout does not exist. We asked to extend our checkout and we’re told our room (a princess suite) was booked so we couldn’t extend our stay. We then asked if there was another room available and we were offered a different princess suite but had to pay an additional $80. We could have kept our room of there was another identical suite available.
We checked out at 12pm our transfer didn’t arrive until 430pm we were ignored by all staff who had previously been nothing but amazing. When you’re no longer staying at the resort you are not treated well.
The hotels services are overpriced. a taxi to ubud centre was $20 through the hotel or $5 for a private taxi. The evening food was pretty basic and cost 3x as much compared to Ubud centre
You can order the free breakfast to your room but are then charged an additional $20 for this service which is not mentioned anywhere they like to add on additional $20 charges where they can.

(+) staff (friendly and super-helpful employees. Tell management to get them some bonuses - they deserve it!)
(+) location (beautiful nature and amazing views)
(+) restaurant (absolutely superb, tasty, wide selection both meals and drinks)
(+) resort (its composition, places to go)
(+) value for money
(-) condition of buildings and facilities (the resort is really greatly designed, but the buildings and facilities would need thorough reconstruction. Everything can stay as it is now, but renovation is absolutely needed).

Staff so helpfully on so many levels. You think you are in the middle of the jungle, So peaceful & relaxing aorund the pools. Hardly see the other guest. The buggy rides to get around the resort are best. super fast pickups
Not much to say here. If you wanted to go anywhere the travel time was up there. But still well worth it.

It was truly a magical experience, hidden away in the rainforest. Our villa was beautifully adorned with Balinese wood carvings and featured a private pool. The bathroom was spacious, with a generous double sink. I especially loved that it had a separate area for getting dressed while enjoying the view. It was so peaceful to hear the river gently babbling nearby. I spent an entire day just taking in the view. I would say this was one of my favourite stays, and I hope to return soon!
The room was a little dark, but very cozy. Instead of having the door near the front, which blocks the view, I would suggest installing a floor-to-ceiling plate glass window. This would allow you to enjoy the view of the rainforest from your bed and bring in much more natural light during the day. I don’t think you need the door, as there is already one to the right that leads to the villa's pool.

A beautiful place in the jungle.
The view from the veranda or the restaurant was breathtaking.
The food was absolutely world class. Both the breakfast and the choices for dinner. I have rarely eaten so well.
The resort itself is also magnificent, real luxury.
Remember, it is in the jungle: the animals there were there first and man has taken this place by force!!! And there will be animals!
Unfortunately, there are small quirks that add up. The biggest drawback is the remoteness, which is why I wouldn't recommend staying longer than 5 days.
The free shuttle leaves at 10:00 and 16:00 to Ubud and only at 16:45 back. This is very weak for a 5 star resort. But clearly, if more were offered, no one would enjoy the expensive dinner on site.
A cab costs 200,000 IDR.
The room facilities are almost poor: in a large villa there is only a small closet for clothes??!!!

The location is amazing, just in the middle of the jungle. The room is spacious and the pool is breathtaking. But the best thing about this place is the staff, they’re so lovely they make you feel like you never wanna leave that place.
The room is a bit old and it smells mouldy. The bathroom is very humid, the floor feels like it’s always wet.
