A beautiful stay overall, though a few small details prevented it from being truly exceptional.

We had an unforgettable stay at Puri Wulandari Boutique SPA Resort. The villa was stunning, offering exceptional privacy and a true feeling of being immersed in nature. The service was outstanding — attentive yet never intrusive, almost invisible. A clear 10/10. Breakfasts were perfect and eclectic. Afternoon tea deserves special praise: beautifully presented snacks and desserts, refined details, and impeccable service. We tried both restaurants. The lower restaurant did not impress us, but the Signature Restaurant was on a completely different level. Excellent beef tartare, very good salmon tartare, and homemade lobster pasta truly worth attention. Lamb chops could be better, but overall the experience was very enjoyable. One detail that genuinely surprised us was the coffee — both at breakfast and in the villa. For a boutique resort of this level, the absence of a quality coffee machine and capsules feels out of place. The in-villa tea selection was also disappointing: only basic black tea bags. A high-quality green tea would elevate the experience significantly. A very touching and unexpected birthday greeting made our stay even more special, especially as we had not informed the resort in advance. Despite these small details, we would definitely return and highly recommend this resort.

I was also surprised that in a place of this level, the only tea provided was basic black Dilmah tea bags. A resort of this standard could certainly offer quality green tea, blooming tea, or at least one selected specialty tea available daily in the villa. Another strange detail was that at breakfast, coffee was poured from a jug instead of being prepared from a proper coffee machine.

Wonderful stay in a fabulous place

The location and views are fantastic and we particularly loved the tranquillity of the place and the temple area. All staff were really nice and friendly and ensured that we had a good time. The villas are really spacious and comfortable. The food was tasty and whilst there were somewhat limited options especially for vegetarians they did their best to accommodate our requests. We also really appreciated the daily fresh fruits and cookies brought to our villa. We would like to say a big thank you to the entire team for our wonderful time! We would love to come back! :)

We appreciate that the resort provided free shuttle to Ubud. However, we had some unpleasant experiences with some of the drivers. Some would try to convince us to book them for extra trips and one was significantly late when having to pick us up from Ubud back to the resort.

The Housekeeping staff are the worst thing in the hotel. They lost my wife’s ring. Other than that they fail to remember to do all the tasks they should do like replacing shampoo and other bathroom amenities

A truly relaxing place to stay.

As always the staff are amazing and attentive. The grounds, pools, villas and views are spacious and beautiful.

We have stayed here on several occasions over the years and some areas need upgrading as are starting to look rather 'tired' given the cost per night. The interior bar area is looking very shabby and needs upgrading to at least have a fridge to serve cold drinks at.

A romantic, luxurious hideaway with outstanding service and total relaxation.

The villa was spacious, beautifully decorated in Balinese style, and had a private pool with breathtaking hillside views. The resort is spotless, filled with flowers, and perfectly maintained. Staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring — they even moved us to another villa immediately after a noisy gecko issue and kept checking if we were comfortable. Check-in was fast, with a personalized welcome note and pineapple drink. Peace and privacy are guaranteed thanks to the resort’s quiet atmosphere and thoughtful rules.

The bar area was very quiet in the evenings — not a place for socializing or nightlife, which might not suit guests looking for entertainment.

10/10. Look no more and book this beautiful hotel! The rooms were incredible, staff amazing, and the grounds were immaculate. I rented a motor bike for my stay and highly recommend to get around. Dek at the front desk was just amazing. I absolutely loved my stay!

Beautiful jungle view, wonderful hospitality

The villas are beautiful with a great view of the jungle opposite. The staff are very friendly, with Surmini at the restaurant being such a lovely hostess (as well as the entire team at Legong Terrace). You feel very safe at Puri Wulandari, and literally all the staff, from spa to restaurant, from housekeeping to security, are so incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting you with a big smile. The WiFi is really good and strong onsite. The buggies are readily available to take you to your villa, as some of the roads are quite steep for those less mobile.

We noticed clusters of what we believe are termite droppings (small, black seed-like objects) in our room. While housekeeping did clean the areas, they kept returning in the same spots. This ruined the paradise-feel of the villa unfortunately. Also, this is not the resort's fault at all, but the stray dogs are quite loud in the jungle opposite! If you are a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs.

Not worth the money. If you don’t plan to stay in the accommodation and use the resort then go for it.

5 star by rules, 1 star by quality of execution. Breakfast is worst we had in Bali, tastes and feels like microwaved. We wanted to stay in villa but decided to stay in resort to have peacefull breakfast. Bad decision. Their housekeeping was very poor, they haven’t cleaned the floors in the rooms a single time we have been there, the dust on my foot was a constant problem and after it gets to your bed, it stays there until the end of your trip anyways.

Magical tranquil paradise with incredible hospitality

Everything. This place is magical. The service and hospitality is absolutely next level. I was blown away by the attention to detail. The communal pool and dining are has the more celestial, incredible views of the valley and mountains where you can hear the water from the river and waterfall cascading down. Food and drinks are freshly prepared and from a set menu with quite a few options. The distance from Ubud center is 15 mins by a taxi.

it was super clean and pretty

the sound of cutting machin down in the valley for 2 days and the sound of a running pump at the river side which started every day around noon and would go on for hours was very although when the cutting machin sound started i complained and of course its not something the staff can control but it was bad luck that happened during my stay they gave me feee ride to Ubud to skip the day and were nice enough to agree to let me have kate chekout for this matter
