We recently had the most spectacular 4 night stay at The Royal Pita Maha! We have been to Ubud many times but this was by far and away the best property we’ve stayed in. Great location and the villas are very well kept and have the most amazing views we’ve ever seen. But by far the most outstanding feature of this property is the incredible hospitality and the staff particularly the manager, Mr Widi as well as Putri, Karina and Nita. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and they went out of their way to always engage with my little boy. We did not want to leave and we cannot wait to return!

We stayed in the riverside Villas and they are gorgeous! The pool was larger than expected and just perfect. Breakfast was exceptional with a mindblowing view, lots of great options. Staff was friendly, very attentive and quick to clear table or offer refills. We took advantage of the free yoga class in the morning. The carving class was educational, fun & authentic. We kept the stone carvings. Free shuttle into Ubud was a nice bonus making it convenient to get in and out of town.

It was in a quiet location but not too far from the centre of Ubud

It rained while we were there and the roof of our villa leaked a lot in our room. All they did was put down towels to absorb the water. Not ideal.

Beautiful traditional Balinese style. Very traditional architecture with carvings and statues. Beautiful views. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much and there was nothing that they couldn’t do for you.

This place is truly the essence of Bali. It is so beautiful a real nature resort. They offer free yoga classes in the in morning right by the river we did this every morning and it was unforgettable experience with the sounds of nature. We had a daily spa package and it was amazing beat spa facilities I have seen,if you like nature. The quality of the massage was 10/10. At the end of our stay we found out that the hotel gives back money to the community and employees over 300 local staff and helps look after there families. The hotel is providing you with good Karma without you even knowing. There is a holy water spring in the resort. Our stay was unforgettable.

There is nothing no to like everything was amazing. Only tip I would say is that the hotel has many steps to get to the rooms so if you have problem with stairs make sure to ask for room near lobby. There is another restaurant just few meters up the road to give you other variations of food as the hotel only has one restaurant.

It was majestic! Great food (especially french toast during breakfast), great massage, great sceneries, fast and nice service. Perfect for retreat. Special thanks to Manager Made, Mr. Sapta and Ms Ary for treating us so nicely.

Mattress seemed old and can be improved.

It is around 20 football fields in size, and it is built into the side of a steep hill. Get wondrously lost in the winding staircases - and a surprise elevator tower - in the middle of a jungle. And how many other hotels have whitewater rafters paddling their way below your room? Maybe you will step aside as a monkey makes his way to the on-site temple or sacred bathing pool. There is even a family-friendly "lazy river" where the kids can paddle their inflatable raft. There are 75 villas and 365 staff! The owner extends health insurance to up to 3 members of each employee's family - so your stay is helping to support up to 1,000 locals.

Wifi is a bit spotty in some parts of the villa.

The resort is set in a breathtaking natural landscape, with beautiful villas designed in traditional Balinese style that offer both comfort and authenticity. 🍽️ The restaurant was a standout, serving delicious local dishes with incredible views — dining here felt like part of the holiday itself. 🌺 Don’t miss the garden walk! It features classic Balinese design, lush greenery, and even a waterfall. A peaceful and sensory-rich escape. 🤝 Service throughout our stay was outstanding. Staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made our experience even more memorable. If you're looking for a luxurious and culturally immersive place to unwind in Bali, we highly recommend The Royal Pita Maha.

Excellent service, the staff were super friendly and helpful, while also assisted me with some concerns. The hotel was so close to the river where I did some work near it, the yoga on the river too was exceptional. It was a great change and happy to do it again.

The stairs, it was a lot, and I mean a lot of stairs. Just make sure you don't forget anything when reaching the lobby if you booked the room near the river.

Nice location, breakfast was very good. Employees were very nice, but a bit too many of them, seemed underutilized.

Noisy from Restaurant above (music). Instagram spot, which was unfortunate. Restaurant Dewata Lounge and hotel way to expensive. wedding and honeymoon location, not for family vacation.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the villa design was beautiful, and the nature around the resort was breathtaking.

I totally understand it is wet season but they could have a better drier for bedsheets. It smells a bit musty and mildewy.

The staff are out of this world. Serviable and kind like I've never seen before. Location is breath taking, a small secluded jungle paradise. Food is good as well, and the rooms are quite big.

That I hadn't spend more time here.

The place is very nice and big you can spend a day there without getting bored, the staff are very friendly and they took good care of us since we were there for our honeymoon the food is nice
