Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

I stayed at Ritz-Carlton Mandapa for my honeymoon. It was a wonderful and special experience! The thing that stood out the most was the very friendly, precise and welcoming service we received from absolutely everyone.... from lobby to pool bar to maintenance employee, etc. We just felt so taken care of. The food was the highlight also... everything was so delicious and super well done, especially the very extensive breakfast to the restaurant. The room and hotel were also spotless and pristine. Our villa felt like a piece of paradise, with lovely views to the river. Everything magical! Marka, our butler, made our stay even more special. He was constantly checking up on via Whatsapp, asking if we needed something or suggesting activities. Such a special guy that makes a stay like this even more special.

The pool in our villa was too cold to be usable... a shame, as it was perfect in all other regards.

A Soulful Riverside Paradise — Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve After spending two wonderful days at The Ritz-Carlton, Nusa Dua, we moved to Mandapa, and it truly felt like stepping into another world — a hidden paradise in the heart of Bali. Mandapa is not just a resort, it is a wellness sanctuary, something incredibly rare to find even globally. The entire experience is designed to slow you down, reconnect you with nature, and immerse you in the beauty of Balinese culture. Our river-facing room was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the gentle sounds of the river flowing through lush greenery was deeply calming and unforgettable. The outdoor bath was a beautiful addition — soaking in it surrounded by nature felt like a private spa experience. We chose Mandapa to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, and the team truly went above and beyond to make it magical. From thoughtful room decorations to special celebrations at the restaurants, every detail was handled with such care and warmth. It felt personal, heartfelt, and incredibly special for our family. The resort itself is stunning — expansive rice fields, serene river views, and touches of authentic Balinese culture everywhere. The traditional dance performances added a rich cultural charm, making the experience even more immersive. Dining was equally exceptional, especially at the exquisite Ambar, a Michelin-star-level experience, and the Indonesian cuisine restaurant which beautifully showcased local flavours. What truly sets Mandapa apart, however, is its people. A very special thank you to our caretaker, Parmini, who was simply outstanding. She is truly an asset to the resort. Her warmth, attention to detail, and the extra effort she took to coordinate everything for us made our stay seamless and unforgettable. It is because of her genuine care that we would return without hesitation. Mandapa is more than luxury — it is tranquility, culture, and heartfelt hospitality all in one.
