Really lovely, comfortable stay for a birthday suprise, in perfect location.

Location was perfect. Very central and within 2 min easy walk to close by restaurants etc. The private car park was as huge bonus, especially as the driver (myself) is disabled. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, and the en-suite shower room was warm and looked very new/modern. Netflix was available and the sofa in the sitting room was very comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable. The staff member (possibly the owner) behind the welcome desk when we arrived was friendly and kept us well informed. Booked Athol Villa Guest House as a suprise for my husband's 50th birthday (with a visit to the Enchanted Forest). He's quite picky about where he stays but was really happy with this venue, and we'd definitely consider returning in the future.

The kitchen was decent but basic. Could have done with a microwave for example. We went out for dinner but my son didn't eat his pizza main course as he felt a bit unwell. He took it back to the villa with him to eat later when he felt better, but there was no way to heat it up. The temperature was a bit on the cold side, despite the heaters being on at their highest setting. This was especially true for the sitting room and we needed to take duvets through to keep warm enough whilst enjoying TV. The bedroom wasn't too bad but there was a bit of a draft coming in from the window just at the head of the main bed. I'd have loved later availability for breakfast (and a slightly later check out by 30min) but only 8:30am was left. I had trouble falling asleep (not the fault of the venue), so unfortunately couldn't make breakfast in the morning.

Location superb, breakfast which I already read reviews about, didn't disappoint, superb. Private parking, 2mins from shops and restaurants. Room beautiful, single bed and large King size bed, which my 2 year old Grandaughter loved and claimed.

Room was gorgeous! Modern decor and very clean and spacious. Room had everything we needed. Location was spot on for our trip and will absolutely return!

Breakfast could have been better. We felt the eggs were over cooked and bacon could have been crispier. Maybe offer some pastries too? But apart from that it was a great set up and we left feeling full.

Beautiful Pitlochry Hotel

Newly refurbished rooms to an excellent standard. Incredible gardens maintained by the owner. No gardener, I asked. Pull up windows that all open!! Pre ordered breakfast ready to serve once seated. Five minutes walk to location of heartlands festival. Wee ones said he had a great night sleep - which is unusual when we stay away.
