Arrived at this hotel knew. On arrival we had made a mistake booking this hotel. Looked more like a community centre than a hotel. It was like faulty towers receptionist doubled as bar attentent room smelt of dampness hadn’t been refurbed for about 30 yrs refused to stay. Fire alarm went off no staff about to assist. Lady who was the receptionist and the bar attentent was also the fire safety officer. For the one hr we were on the premises only saw this one member of staff. Nothing attractive or appealing about this hotel. Do not stay here it is smelly dirty and should be shut down we refused to stay and headed back home
Nothing apart from
Girl on reception who tried ger best under difficult

Beds were comfortable and location was great. This was the only positive.
Despite the name this is not a spa hotel. When arriving to our room there were no robes. We were told that you only get a robe if you have booked a treatment. If we wanted to have a robe we would need to pay £10 (this was to use! not a deposit!). I have never in my life been to a spa hotel that doesn't give you robes and when I said this to the receptionist she simply replied 'I dont make the rules'. She clearly gets a lot of complaints and is fed up. There was a woman in front of me complaining about how dirty her room was, the recpetionist didn't so much as bat an eye lid. Just changed her room, no apology. Pool is very small and was over crowded with teenagers and children with inflatable balls. Not one part of the experience was relaxing. Couldn't even swim a length due to how busy it was so we basically paid to sit in a pool. Hotel its self is very outdated and our bathroom was dirty. Plug hole was filled with hair!!! I was so disgusted I used the bath in my mums room, ran the bath and it was freezing! The pool was warmer.

The staff were friendly.
We stayed on 21 February and booked a deluxe double (£131 plus £20 for early check-in).
Unfortunately, the experience did not match the price. Our room was ground floor facing the car park with a direct view of the skip area. Privacy was an issue as people in parked cars were facing our window, so we had to keep the curtains closed.
The noise was the biggest problem. We could hear shouting from the bar at night, and from around 6am the breakfast room activity started directly opposite our room — tables scraping, staff walking around and then guests arriving. It was the worst night’s sleep I’ve had in a hotel.
The pool and spa facilities felt dated and not particularly clean. The steam room in particular did not look hygienic, so I chose not to use it.
The staff were friendly, which was a positive, but overall £151 for one night felt very poor value for money.

Convenient location
A little run down - at the entrance and external skip just outside / works ongoing. Internally being refreshed.

Have now received parking fine even though I registered my car at check in. The hotel are doing nothing to help and advised I need to follow appeal process. Disgusting way to treat customers! I will never stay here again

We booked the King size room and it was great, very spacious and very warm. Room and bathroom look like it had been refurbished but kept it's character by keeping the bedroom furniture, room 217. Breakfast in the morning superb, everything you wanted. The SPA was very relaxing, we went in morning before checking out, nice and quite before our journey home.Really enjoyed Scotland's Spa.
Can't think of anything.

Great location. Good breakfast and spa facilities. Bedroom was comfortable.
Corridors and public areas were a bit shabby and run down.
6.0 / 10.0
Kind staff, good breakfast, pool nice and warm, good location
General appearance of the interior looks like it needs an upgrade (corridors painted dreary colour / magnolia looks dated, chipped and half-done), carpet thread bare etc…
Room was small even for a single, with no room to unpack suitcase other than on the bed. Very unpleasant when coming in from rain/muddy conditions.
For a ‘spa hotel’ there were no staff to support or offer any spa treatments or guidance around the facilities. I stayed at the weekend and the spa was deserted. The changing rooms felt dated and uncared for and not as clean as I would hope for.
The steam room smelled awful and there was hardly any steam and wasn’t particularly warm - left straight away. I wasn’t sure if it’s cleanliness either.
The breakfast was good however not particularly relaxing due to bottle neck queuing. The tables weren’t all occupied so I can only imagine how it gets when they are.

The staff were lovely and helpful. Loved the pool . The water was just at the right temperature. The hot tub and sauna were great. The breakfast although the dinning room was very busy we were seated quickly and the food was hot and plenty available.
Unfortunately our room 116 let the whole experience down. It was very shabby considering what we paid as was the bathroom. I'm aware you won't always get a view from your room but we were looking at the top of the hotel roof from both our windows. The beds were comfy and we didn't spend much time in the room. The room is in desperate need of a make over and certainly wasn't worth the money even considering the time of year. The bathroom could do with being renewed.
I happened to see other rooms on our floor and they were lovely . On the whole we would maybe stay at this hotel again but certainly not in this room!!

Right in the heart of Pitlochry. The breakfast was yummy and the staff were very pleasant.
The decor is dated and it was very expensive.

Our room included disabled access, as we were a party of two adults (sisters) and three children, my one year old and I took the double and there were three single beds all in the one room. Breakfast was continental and/or full Scottish breakfast. Buffet style, coffee, tea and fruit juice. Everything was spotlessly clean, with a lovely accessible shower.
There was no net curtain from what I can remember, only a large blackout roller blind, as we were on the ground floor with a path going by people walked past a lot so a net would provide privacy as well as allowing light in. As for the ‘spa hotel’ i chose this as there was a swimming pool and had hoped to take the children swimming but the pool was closed. We did receive a courtesy call the night before our stay to inform us of this, I would have liked something off the room or a complimentary drink as a good will gesture.

cleanliness of our room. Found the cork wire from a bottle under the table. Cobwebs on the ceiling and found something floating in the kettle. The lady appeared and replaced the kettle and cleaned the ceiling

I didn't mind really, but the building is a bit worn out itself

We always love to use the pool and spa area in the morning and the breakfast was good. It’s an ideal location for us too with the car park and things.
The clothes drier in the swimming area is really unsafe and difficult to use. It is an exposed plug socket right between the pool and shower, it wobbles around excessively when on and takes a very long time to shut off after being switched off at the wall (around 5-6 whole minutes waiting for it to stop spinning)

stayed here with my partner for two nights for a sweet, relaxed getaway as we are new parents.
Upon arriving we were very disappointed in the swimming facilities being out of order as this was the attraction in initially booking a room
Myself and my partner decided to stay despite this. We just wanted a relaxed two night break away from a eight month infant at home and uprooting last minute to another hotel wasn't something we had the energy for.
Of course our stay was very far removed from that. Our first night the struggle to sleep was very real, me and my partner each found the bed uncomfortably hard and we both thought there to be a unevenness about the surface of the mattress.
When we did finally manage to fall asleep we were awoken to a fire alarm at around 3:20am. We understand this is outwith the power of the hotel but no apology was given the next morning or follow up of the event with led to the fire alarm or lack of electricity for the remainder of the night.
Late afternoon I phoned down to reception as I couldn't get any hot water. Someone was sent to 'run a tap' and simply tell me id have to wait 40mins for it to heat up. I think this should be disclaimed in bold for all to see on booking.com. You a falsely advertising hygiene facilities when someone who is a paying guest can not take a shower at their convenience.
In short
No hot water/ terrible room upkeep and overpriced for the facilities available to us

Our room was very dated. There was a watermark on the ceiling where there had obviously been a leak and was not repaired. The water did not drain away from the shower and the TV had not picture only sound.
