PREMIER SUITES PLUS Glasgow George Square

The apartment was fantastic. Lots of space, a shame about the balconies though of course prioritising safety is a must. Great kitchen equipment provided.

Collecting the keys could have been simpler. We were not sent check-in instructions and I had to follow other quests in through the front door, waited in the hall for 15 mins trying to find instructions, and only then realised that the reception was on the first floor. Better signing and communication of this would have been greatly helpful. Once I did find the reception, staff were lovely and helpful. In addition, the door to the balcony in the bedroom seem not to seal fully so it did get quite cold.

The location

The lift not working

The location is fabulous, just off George Square and close to several train stations, and the overall apartment size is large. Sadly we arrived when the lift was out of order, and remained that way for the duration of our stay. We were able to ask for assistance with bags, but still had to manage our large suitcases up far more flights of stairs than desirable. We felt the apartment was very tired and in need some a bit of tlc with regard to layout and furnishings - we went back to look at the photos to see what was different, and it was only small things but it made a difference to the warmth and comfort of living space. It could be furnished with more thought to a group of people staying and large comfy lounges rather than a 2 seater sofa and 2 upright higher single chairs.

It has a huge living area, but such tight squeeze in the bedrooms literally no where for luggage to be opened out. Of course if it is a just a couple you could use the living space but we were two couples so that is not ideal. The main bathroom could do with some removal and replacement of mouldy silicone.

Spacious living area.

Noisy at night Flickering light in hallway of property, shining a light all night into both bedrooms. Staff rude about addressing this issue when we raised it. Reviews of the property indicate this was already a problem for weeks Lift not working and we had to carry luggage to the fourth floor. O compensation considered.
