Extremely disappointing - would not stay here again! Over priced and in need of a good clean.

The location was excellent. Short walk to shops and restaurants.

We booked the apartment at short notice as our sons were staying in another apartment in block 4 and we wanted to be near by. We felt the price was extremely high (we paid £361 for a 1-bedroom apartment and our sons paid £240 for a 2-bedroom apartment) but decided to book as we hoped it to be a good standard. We were unfortunately extremely disappointed with the condition of the property. Upon arrival, we found the property to be unclean and in need of significant maintenance. The cleanliness issues we encountered included dirty windows in the bathroom, kitchen and living area; an old toothbrush and lots of dirt down the right hand side of the sink in the bathroom; dust on top of the intercom; mould around the bath; a dirty mattress; a beer bottle under the bed which had been left by one of the previous occupants. General maintenance issues - walls were covered in marks and need painting; old picture hooks left in walls where a painting was rehung; burst cushion cover in living room; parts missing from the sink in the kitchen, freeview box did not work; marks on the radiators and broken panelling on the bath. Given the price we paid for our stay, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. The rates charged were in no way reflective of the actual conditions of the property, leading us to feel that we did not receive the value we anticipated. We contacted the owners who said they appreciated our feedback. We would, however, have expected to be recompensed due to the issues with the property.

I liked the location of the Apartment it was good for local restaurants and bars.

Awful experience

Nothing

Couldn’t gain access as owner/managing agent didn’t have the correct key for the courtyard (without this, you’re unable to access the apartment). Process of collecting the key is from a 24 hour shop approximately 1/2 mile away. Informed owner/managing agent and was told to collect a different key from the same shop. This didn’t work, contacted owner/managing agent again who insisted I must be doing something wrong but she would have someone there within five minutes with another set of keys. Forty minutes later, no one had arrived and I cancelled my booking - by now it’s approximately two since arriving at the property. The owner/managing agent agreed to refund my damage deposit (£300) minus a fee. This was done straightaway. The £1000 cost for the stay wasn’t deposited back in my account and when I enquired why, was told because I had cancelled and there was a no refund policy. Alarm bells rang when when I was asked for the damage deposit via friends and family so that they wouldn’t incur a fee. This would’ve wavered my rights to a refund. Thankfully I chose the ‘paying a deposit’ option which did protect my rights to a refund and why I believe, I received a refund straightaway.

Great place but needs some attention to details.

The location and the size of the flat

Lack of hot water to sink and basin so crockery, cutlery and pots were not clean from last people. No plug for sink made it difficult to clean everything until we used the largest pot and boiled water. One fork between two people was also interesting. For overseas visitors not used to UK water systems more instructions would be good. Otherwise this unit was a great place to base oneself from to visit Glasgow.

perfect location in the City Centre with all amenities needed a few mins away. Food / Shops / Bars. secure gated parking was another reason for booking as left car all week knowing was safe

Heated towel rail after switching on you need to also then switch on the intensity meter in cupboard for it to work. Got there in end.

Our stay was fun, informative, relaxing but above all friendly

The location was terrific, very central, beautiful architecture, many fine restaurants, bars, cafes and art galleries. Glasgow's upmarket shopping area very close by - a few minutes walk to the famous Buchanan street and last but not least the very cool Glaswegian artistic murals painted on various walls in the area, that and such a perfect host made our stay in Merchant City Glasgow very memorable.

The location is cool.hip, so don't expect a quiet area- however the double glazed windows of the property dealt well with any noise.

The location was great, Apartment was nice.

WORST landlord possible. Never met with us, sent us countless unnecessary massages through WhatsApp, and was EXTREMELY unpleasant, rude and not trustworthy. NEVER do business with this guy. The parking is not guaranteed, it depends on free space which isn't always available. . The apartment wasn't very clean overall.

Exceptional

I liked the location of the place. It was easy to find and very close to center, train station, university of strathclyde and all. It was a cosy stay. We enjoyed relaxing there after a busy day

The check in time did not work for us. We had an early flight and needed to rest before starting a busy conference. Fortunately our host tried to meet us earlier to help with the luggage at least. The check out is really easy however.

the floor was a bit unclean upon arrival, table slightly dusty. probably was left vacant for a period. suggest to clean one more round before guest arrival. owner helped to address issues promptly ie providing hairdryer & fixing clog issue. felt a bit uneasy to trust stranger into our facility with our belongings inside without our presence, but owner asked us to trust them. we found this strange and unpleasant that they had key to access the property without our presence.

Wrong amount on invoice. No VAT. Awful communication

The apartment is as advertised. It is quite noisy at night but to be expected in that location.

If you need to claim expenses do not book this apartment. The host has refused to issue an invoice for the full amount that I paid. Booking is very clear that the invoice should be from the host and that the booking commission should not be deduced on the invoice. However the host has plainly refused to issue the correct invoice and has been very condescending in explaining that I am wrong. I now have a proof of payment from booking and an invoice from the host that are mismatched. This is a big problem for accountancy. I have booked many trips for work on this website and never before have I had this problem. Also, when you book, you get charged VAT but the host has told me that they are not VAT registered. I did not see any human because check-in and check-out was picking up and dropping off keys at a local store. (It said when I booked that someone would meet me at the property). I had to confirm that I had landed before the host would tell me where to pick up the keys from. About the deposit, the host waited until the day before check-in to ask for it (a Sunday evening). When I said it was last minute for a bank transfer, he snapped back that I had agreed to the deposit by booking the flat. I did not question that the deposit was due although I did mention that if I had noticed this detail before booking I would have chosen a different place. I asked for the bank or PayPal details. Never did I receive these as the host decided to waive the deposit. After arguing about the invoice the host messaged that he should have cancelled my stay and kept all the money as I didn't transfer the deposit. I was very shocked by this statement. Again: I never got any bank details. I was reminded once or twice a day that I owed 15 pounds for the cot that I asked for. A fact that I of course never disputed. This is just another example of how the host communicates with guests.

the apartments are in a safe enclosed area with great links to the city and east side. the location was perfectly placed, really nice Morden interior with a really cosy space. the location is filled with life and pubs but, you are unable to here this in the apartment which was really nice! the staff are amazing, so friendly and consistent making you feel at ease and supported. would definitely stay again and recommend!

great location and size however the upkeep of the property was very poor as well as not being provided with things such

lots of areas were very unclean and unkept with also some parts of the furniture broken. There was an odd stain on the side of the bed and something splashed up against the skirting board. Dirt and stains in the drawers so would not want to put my own belongings in there. Drawers in the kitchen where the cutlery was kept was full of dirt/food remnants
