Very Underwhelmed

It was a good location for being near the hub of Glasgow.

The host didn't send me pix and didn't give good directions on how to find the lock box. They did not respond quickly to questions submitted. We had no means of controlling the heat. The door rattled from the wind in the hallway. There was no way to lock the balcony door and there was the ability of another apartment to access the balcony area. The bedside lamps were bizarre. They turned on for no reason. We did not get responses from the host(s) even after reaching out to Booking.com. The bath mat in the smaller bathroom look like it was found on the street. The towels were left in the hallway, outside the apartment, on the floor. I will not use Booking.com in the future because of the terrible customer service provided by this host.

Location and size of apartment was excellent.

Black mould in bathroom. Booking.com advert did not state the building was clad in flammable materials and is not legal. Windows leaked water and cold air. Mattresses need replacing. Hosts did not reply to messages about the defects.

Great location, but the building has issues

The location is great, very central and nice views of the river. It's a spacious apartment and has all the basics. There's a shop downstairs which was handy for all the basics.

The place was quite dirty; carpet had stains, the kitchen had finger prints all over it, the en suite bathroom has mould on the grout, the shower head was not clean. The place needs a serious upgrade in general. Paint chipping from walls, beds are creeky (but comfy), the blinds are very cheap and unhook if you breath on them, there was duct tape on some windows to stop the draft coming in, but even with the window closed you could see the blinds moving from the draft, the had no wardrobe or anything, just a rail with two hangers on it. There are a few strange characters around the building where we felt a little unsafe at times, if we were just girls we would have felt more unsafe. It was strange that there's no reception or staff downstairs in the lobby, but every third floor or so in the stairwell there was a staff member of some kind sitting on a chair in the empty stairwell at all hours of the day with a high vis and a walkie talkie - I'm not sure why they're there as they never talked to us. The fact they're there makes me feel that there is something to monitor or be protected from.

This is the fourth time we have stayed here and won’t again!

Location is excellent.

Property in dire need of maintenance! Double bed had broken slats and was extremely uncomfortable. Property needs a lot of work - skirting in living room off the wall, missing thresholds on laminate, broken radiator in hall, black mould in both bathrooms, tiles on kitchen floor cracked, edging bead on laminate missing in places, outdoor balcony strewn with fag ends and a rusty broken barbecue. Property is not cheap to rent and attention to detail is sorely lacking! We walked in and there was a bucket of dirty water in the kitchen floor. We had to move one of the sofas and there was about an inch of dust, crumbs and a half eaten lolly under it. Linen is poor quality. Headboard on one of the singles was also broken and both bathrooms are needing redone. Sofas also needing replaced.

Stay Away!!

It's on the 9th floor and has a view of the river.

So many things! The worst was that on our arrival they gave us the wrong access code. We called and called and called, it just went to voice mail. We told them that we would be arriving at about 19:30, and that's when we arrived. We had to stand outside, in the cold, for about 30 minutes! It was very upsetting. Finally a nice womán who lived there let us in. Still, we needed the access code for the next day. We kept calling. They finally got it to us, with no apologies. We asked for more towels, which they never responded to. They only gave us 4 towels, for 2 people for 4 days! Not enough. There was no shampoo, body wash, laundry soap, and insufficient toilet paper. One of the bathrooms was so tiny that you had to sit sideways. And the bed was old and lumpy. My husband was sick. He had been in bed for days. We asked for a late check-out since our flight was late that day. They said "no." Well, by know, I was so upset with them after they made us wait outside in the cold that I told them they owed us. They didn't agree. One of the women barged in and started yelling that we had to get out. We told her that we would soon.Then she started to physically remove my things!! This was at checkout time, not later. The people who own or manage this apartment are the worst. Frightening, even menacing. This apartment didn't get very good reviews, but I wanted the river view. It wasn't worth it.

Lived in, musky, river view on the 9th

The location , the view and value for money. 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms and we paid £435 in stead of £475 for 4 nights for 3 people.

Not surprising. A lived in feel.A musky smell when you walk in. Broken and lumpy furniture. Missing taps in bathrooms. Soggy fake grass on the balcony after the rain, smelly blankets at the feet of the bed, dirty curtains, a few dirty dishes in the dishwasher on arrival and clothes in the washing machine. Wi- fi gave 1 bar. There were people in the stair case keeping us safe. I did ask cause there was a guy in a yellow jacket sitting in a chair at all hours. When we left there was a group of yellow jackets down stairs getting their instructions. I wish I was making the last bit up.

the location and value for money when I stayed here were great. clean, comfortable beds. we booked quite last minute at 7am in the morning and were able to arrive at around 1pm, there was great communication

some of the mugs had tea stains and the dishwasher was dirty with something that looked like peanut butter, which made us nervous about the overall hygiene of the place. there was also a bit of mold in the showers.

The apartment has the best view you could ever ask to stay in Glasgow. The apartment is very beautiful, modern, nice and clean. Our experience has been an exceptional one assisted by lovely lady Fiona and her team. Fiona and her team has been lovely, caring and tried their best to accommodate our requests based on their capacity. I strongly recommend this apartment if you are planning to visit Glasgow and not sure where to stay. The location is perfect to explore around Central Glasgow.

An absolute rip off.

The location was amazing & central.

Aesthetically the property looked clean but there were many issues within the flat. Windows did not open it was taped up throughout the windows in the dining /lounge area.the curtains in one of the bedroom were held by cable ties. Lights in one of the bedroom did not work , there was a hole in the wall in the other bedroom, the shower head was not fixed -the down lighter bulbs were fused in the shower, bathrooms & main areas. There was no instruction sent to get into the building, I was talked through having to call the managing agent.This apartment needs repairs & poor workmanship as well. The tv was loosely placed on a table & this could easily fall as well. The blinds could not be drawn & most it was extremely warm as windows could not open.There has been poor reviews for this apartment to which nothing has been repaired. The managing agents do not care about the quality of your stay but rather financial gain. There should be a checklist that should be ticked off with the agent once checked in. The agent promised to come in the next day to repair but did not call or show up. It’s definitely a poor reflection for the booking .com platform as management agents gain financially and the guest is put out of pocket as payment is taken fully before check in. The managing agent advised us that if we were not happy that she could not change or move us & if we did we will not be fully refunded. This is shocking allowing the agents to get away with this policy. A full refund and not wallet credit should be in place .Why is the guest stay ruined by photos & agents that is misleading. This should be a platform built on trust !!!!Managing agents should fulfil their duty & checking everything before the guest moves in …. Like a hotel check in.The guests should be able to seek alternate accommodation as this is an online booking and not what you are shown in pictures are misleading especially for this apartment.

Thirteenth floor view out over the river was excellent. Good location to the center of town, restaurants and sights. Would have been perfect, but.....

No information as to location of the lock box or its code. Had to wait outside in a drizzle until another resident came and let us in. No heat or hot water for 24 hours. No towels on arrival. No bathroom soap when they promised toiletries. Trash can in kitchen.was overflowing with smelly food waste. About a third of the light bulbs were burnt out. Floor hadn't been swept. Several of the shower and bath faucets and door handles almost falling off. Windows in the living room leaked badly. Some handles were broken. Mold in both showers.

location is great for walking to many areas, or to the two train stations, or the subway. View over Clyde river all the way to mountains is great. Nice space for four with three bedrooms. (would be tight with more) Close by restaurants, coffee shops, and store for groceries.

Walls and ceiling were a bit thin. There was noise from upper and next-door apartments during the day so it would be difficult to take a nap. Nights were ok. Nit picking: There was a drip coffee machine but no filters. It is difficult to find filters in Glasgow. Apparently not to many use drip coffee makers.

Superb

The location was absolutely the best. A view of the river, and so close to the city centre, shops and transport. This also made it a quiet location. Checking in was facilitated by phone as our train arrival was delayed. The contact person was very helpful with this and supplying a second set of keys.
