Nice flat but need tv/wifi info
Fairly convenient location, walkable to centre. A nice neat apartment. Good shower.
One double, which felt small but comfortable. We’re used to blackout blinds and curtains in flat hung about 6 inches away from wall and were very thin so light came in making it more difficult to get to sleep although bed was very comfortable. I messaged upon arrival as there were no instructions on how to use TV or whether there was a WiFi code or sky code and got no response. We were able to bounce our Netflix account over from our phone but if I’d been on my own I’d never have worked it out. Arriving on a freezing February afternoon would be a good idea to have heating on, it took ages to warm up the flat. Would have been a nice touch.

Avoid at all costs
The flat was warm. The bed was comfortable. That's it.
Access was an absolute nightmare. The directions were so poor I felt like I was competing in the Glasgow Escape Room Championships. The lockbox was hard to find, the three keys were unlabelled (because why make life easy?), and the “correct” apartment was nowhere near where it was supposed to be. I even ended up trying to get into someone else’s flat with the same number, as the directions were so poor. Eventually—late at night, in the dark—I found the actual apartment in another part of the building and could only get in through a random back door because none of the keys worked at the front. Then we get to the front door. Two locks… both broken. The agency insists they weren't, which is amusing because I was unable to lock it from the inside or the outside. Inside it was shabby. The curtains were so thin they did nothing against the blazing streetlights. The listing claimed the place was “bright”—and it is, in the photos, because every single light was switched on. The flat was so gloomy I needed the lights on all day. The blinds were broken, the TV didn’t work, the WiFi limped along at prehistoric speeds, and the heating came from ancient storage heaters I haven’t seen since the 90s. The free parking is a fairy tale. The car park has a barrier and requires a resident’s pass. Then we get to the safety issues—or the complete absence of them. No fire safety information. No extinguisher. No fire blanket. No visible letting licence. No insurance certificate. No sign of PAT testing or gas safety checks. Basically: “If this place goes up in smoke, good luck.” After one night of this madness, I fled to a four-star hotel, which instantly felt like the Ritz by comparison. Then they refused a refund and slapped me with a £178 “damage fee”. The audacity! To top it all off, I later discovered the property does not have a short-term let licence. Neither do the dozen or so others they operate. Reported to police, trading standards, and council.

A relaxing, enjoyable and much needed short break.
The self-catering apartment was pleasant enough. The beds, wi-fi, kitchen and facilities were ok, but now in need of a spruce up, as the pics don't reflect what it looks like now.
The self-catering apartment was pleasant enough, however it did not reflect the photos that were published on Booking DC. It was clear the pics were taken when the property had just been painted/or refurbed and when we went there, the property was in need of another spruce up. Most of the things needing replacing could be done as a quick fix. Quick fixes that could be done: -Get rid of the bins in the kitchen and bathroom, as the lids on them were broken and they were a bit scruffy. -Make a booklet for guests to know how the wi-fi works, where local eateries are and to work the heating, as it was a bit cold during our stay. -Get mirrors in ALL of the bedrooms now!! Guests shouldn't have to rely on using the one mirror in the bathroom, as the mirror above the bed in the master bedroom was clearly for ornamental purposes, as one would have had to stand on the bed to see out of it! (previous guests have mentioned this too)-Get blackout curtains for the master bedroom. (previous guests have mentioned this also). There is a bright street lamp outside this room, which makes it difficult to sleep. If you had blackout curtains, it would help to block out the light a lot to aid sleep. -Get a recycle bin (or let guests know) where they can dispose of recycling products. -The area directly outside the entrance could do with the weeds and overgrown plants tidying up, as it was scruffy. Need to do: The bathroom has seen better days. It needs the tiling on the floor and walls done, the bath needs replacing and generally the bathroom was a bit scruffy. -If the sofa can't be replaced (as it's seen better days), it needs proper fitted throws that stay on and don't show the scruffiness of their wear and tear. -Bedside tables (in both rooms) were very wobbly and need replacing.
