Aggarthi Bed and Breakfast

Diane is an amazing host! We sadly only stayed one night - not long enough - but we will return!

We loved every moment of our stay at Aggarthi. Diane is the perfect host, she is passionate and knowledgeable about Bayeux and its surrounds and makes every guest feel at ease and at home especially at the communal ( wonderful) breakfasts. It was a joy to return home every evening to the beautiful tranquil garden. Aggarthi is about a five minute walk from the centre of town yet feels like its in the middle of the countryside. We will definitely be back. Huge extra thanks to Diane and her family for sharing their gorgeous outdoor space and their eclipse glasses with us ensuring we had a really special experience on 12 August. Firstly the location is terrific but Diane, the host, is a close second. Irrepressible is the word. We had the best welcome and lots of great ideas of where to go. This B/B is quite out of the ordinary. Quirky and comfortable in a beautiful garden. Delicious breakfasts with eggs from the hen-coop and delicious pastries.

There is nothing to 'not like' but it was sad to see the heatwave taking its toll on the garden. May it rain soon!

Breakfast outstanding. Location very good. Hostess: very pleasant. Ambiance: loved having dogs/cats greet me every time we came in. Gardens: Lovely

Room was not as clean as I would have liked. Paid for a quadruple room for 2 persons. Clearly our room was only meant for two (one queen bed). We did not get what we paid for. There were 34 steps up to our room by way of a very winding and narrow stairwell. Lights in stairwell did not automatically come on in enough time to actually see where we were going.
