Clean, convenient and nice location for our stay

Nice breakfast served each morning which was easy. Close to pickup for tour. And bar for the evening. Staff lovely and gracious.

I did not enjoy the room door needing a key to open from the inside. Seems like a safety concern. But that could be a normal France/ European way.

Nice cozy hotel in Bayeux - perfect for visiting Caen and WWII beaches/sites.

Room was cozy and comfortable. Staff was amazing - especially the young man working front desk. Helped with bags, recommended restaurants.

No Lift/Elevator. No hot water - took lukewarm showers at best for both days I was there. Coffee Machine - one was down, long wait. Hot water for tea just not hot enough.

Perfect location, wonderfully welcoming and helpful staff.

The location was central and we could walk to everything, including the (paid) car park where we could leave the car on the hotel's doorstep. Not a problem it being paid - we knew this was the case in Bayeux. Not much parking space, it being a medieval city! The greeting we received was warm and genuine. Breakfast was great and allowed for an early start in the morning, There was a patio outside where we ate the remains of our daytime picnic for dinner one night accompanied by a glass of wine or two from the hotels's bar. Very relaxing after a big day and so convenient. (there was a small grocer literally next door to the hotel to stock up on picnic supplies if you are heading out for the day ). Even though we had a car, we booked the shuttle to Mt St Michel and it was a very easy and relaxing way to travel. It was operated by the hotel and left from the door.

No storeage in the room - A request for an umbrella on a very rainy day was allowed (Just) but a fuss was made by the proprieter who insisted on a room number which I gave and which she disagreed with (She was wrong) - Was made to feel that being given a brolly to borrow by the Hotel was a massive pain for her and that we were asking too much!

Worst hotel in our entire 3 week European vacation.

Not clean room. Many flies upon entering and the room smelled moldy and damp. The front desk clerk escorted us into the room and heard our comments and said nothing. They offered to move us after 1 day, but with the way she responded after we got into the room ( with her), we felt the entire hotel was this way and opted not to move all of luggage to another room. . The 2nd night the HVAC vent came crashing down in the middle of the night scaring my wife. Reported that 1st thing in the morning since we had an all day tour scheduled. When we returned to the room after the tour, the vent was back on the wall but they didn’t even bother to vacuum up the mess from the bits of drywall that came down when the vent fell in the middle of the night. Will never return.

Very brief stay--only spent one night--but loved it.

Center of town location excellent. Nearby and convenient to the tour pickup location. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was able to check in very late in the evening without any problems. I loved the historic feel and appearance of the Churchill, as well as the name. Great hotel for a good night's sleep too.

Best Place to Stay if You are visiting Normandy beach.

I definitely recommend this hotel. You can't beat the location. This hotel is centrally located to everything in town, including the train station. The breakfast is excellent and it's just what you need to the get the day started. The rooms are clean and quiet.

This hotel is a gem! Hotel Churchill is a fantastic base from which to explore Normandy.

Location was wonderful, in the heart of Bayeux, with ample public parking close by. We enjoyed a newly refurbished garden level suite, which was perfect for our family of four. The staff at the hotel was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast each morning before making our way to the beaches and Mt.-Saint-Michel.

The location was the best!

The location is perfect for walking to everything we wanted to do. We were in a very nice updated room.

Housekeeping did not makeup our room after the first night. They came in and left clean coffee cups but no towels and didn’t make the bed. Could not reach front desk by phone. We stopped by reception when leaving for dinner. They told us we could pickup the towels when we return. The room was made up after our second night.

I’d stay there again.

The location was perfect for our purposes. It’s on the Main Street of the historic area within walking distance of the cathedral, the tapestry, and other historic sites. There are cute shops, coffe shops and restaurants near by, even in the off season. The staff was very helpful with arranging a tour of Omaha beach, the American cemetery. A shuttle to Mont St. Michel is also available. The train station is a 15-20 minute easy walk.

It was a wonderful choice of town to visit in Normandy and the hotel was just perfect.

I wanted a hotel in Bayeux for my family (7 adults) that was convenient to all the attractions in the town. The Churchill website does not do justice to the hotel, the rooms were terrific (we had 4 rooms), and the Staff were absolutely fantastic. I speak French but my family does not, it was never an issue. There were great restaurants a few steps from the hotel so it was easy to satisfy everyone's desire for meals.

I didn't like the fact that I was sick (fever) during my stay, but accommodation made riding out my illness much easier. The bathroom was fantastic, with a great shower, a large room, and clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bayeux.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was luxurious and the beds were very comfortable. The water pressure was great in the shower and the room was very quiet allowing us to have a good night's sleep.

Glad to be out of there and on to a better hotel!

The shower door was broken and I asked them to fix it at 8am and they didn’t even though we were gone for 12 hours. The evening staff indicated that due to the inconvenience they would give a deduction on my bill. The next morning a different staff person refused. I even took housekeeping to the room to show her that the railing was still broken and the entire fixture of the shower head was coming out of the wall.
