Good stop for E1 hikers

Breakfast was good, staff were friendly and helpful, insect screen on one window, vicinity to a swimming place in lake

A little expensive for a youth hostel, screens on both windows would’ve been better since it was so hot, cows and church were loud (granted the accommodation can’t influence this but still i didn’t sleep well)

I plan to come back every year with my family. definitely a great place for families to stay and for everyone to support!!

Didn’t realize extent to which this was going to be a hostal experience.

Cost for three travelers in a family room was the only reason we stayed here.

Very far from stores, restaurants, etc. Located on an active farm, so lots of flies and smells of manure. The restroom was completely full of live and dead small flying insects that were attracts to the light and made their way through the screen. Was so intense that our family members were compelled to use the lobby area restroom. For those looking at this space in Booking.com, please beware that this is a hostal. In no way does it fit the bill as a hotel…no towels, no soap, shampoo, have to make the bed in your own bed and then take down the linens in the morning, no showers or toilets in the family rooms, etc.

Exceptional

The room was big and comfortable. The hostel had very good facilities, and nice big public space with desk, TV and toys. It was really good for the kids. The area is beautiful and there's plenty of outdoor space for children to run around. Breakfast was great too.

Wonderful short-stay

Very clean hostel with exceptional views. The staff was wonderful and the facilities were great. Be sure to take advantage of the well-maintained terrace! Breakfast was also well-stocked and the breakfast attendants were helpful. I also appreciated the lockers.

room has no AC and neither a fan, it’s way too warm in summer in the room , had to sleep on the balcony there is no water squeegee in the showers, lots of body hair or pubic hair in the shower

The location is great in general and excellent for the IRONMAN race Breakfast was good Nice play area outside Very close to the lake Parking for 10 CHF

The temperature in the room was hot without air conditioning but it was a very hot day it should not be the case all the time I booked the family room with a Bathroom 1 year ago and some days before the check-in days they told me it was not available, the issue was solved thanks to booking.com and I got the room.

Perfectly clean and functional. Breakfast was good. Situated in quiet countryside near the lake. Good secure bike storage.

There is a very institutinal feel to this hostel. Check-in only after 17.00, breakfast between 8 & 9, and check-out by 10. You have strip ypur own beds and take your linen to bins down the passage. I would not mind so much if I were paying hostel rates, but this hostel cost me more than my hotels in Luzern and Andermatt!

Hostel outside of the town

Room was ok. Clean. Friendly. Young families seemed to like it.

No local restaurant except a sports club. Long way out of town. Ex old people’s home not really updated. Facilities old fashioned. Breakfast too late for hikers.

Sehr gute Unterkunft, gerne wieder.

Moderne Jugendherberge mit schöner Einrichtung und sehr nettem Personal. Zum Zürichsee sind es ein paar Minuten zu Fuß. Frühstück sehr gut, allerdings könnte es bei Hochbetrieb etwas knapp werden und dann ist eine Ausgabetheke eventuell zu wenig.

Für eine Jugendherberge etwas teuer, aber wahrscheinlich ist das in der Schweiz einfach so.

Guter Jugi- Standard, Lage ruhig, aber weit weg vom Zentrum

Gutes 4-er-Zimmer und Badzimmer, Sauberkeit, tolle Seesicht und ruhig

Kühler Empfang. Recht weit weg von Rapperswil, was mit dem Velo zum Glück kein Problem war.

Frühstück: Etwas wenig Auswahl und bei mehreren Leuten lange Wartezeiten, kein Fernseher im Zimmer, tlw. etwas wenig Licht
