We would have booked a bigger room. The room we had was clean and had everything you would need but was quite small.

We loved it. The location and scenery is lovely and all the staff are excellent.

Breakfast was very good although a little salty and I prefer uncooked bacon but still very good. The room was a bit small but OK for our short stay. The second flight of stairs was very steep for our elderly dog and she had a problem gripping with her paws on the steps. Overall though we really enjoyed our stay.

As mentioned above the second flight of stairs not easy for our elderly dog.

Perfect, Perfect and Perfect!

The location was perfect, there was a nice vibe around the hotel and staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. Our hotel room had a sea view and a lovely decked area, nice and spacious room with comfortable bed. Would definitely recommend and make a return visit in the future.

Very friendly welcome for us and our dog. Ideally situated for walks and to enjoy the coastline. The breakfasts and evening meals were excellent. Good quality ingredients and interesting dishes were prepared very well. The staff were exceptional. They were all very friendly and helpful. Our main contacts were with Portia and Radu and our thanks go to them for making our stay so enjoyable.

Nothing really. Our room could have been a bit bigger but we were aware it wasn’t the biggest available. It was warm, comfortable and functional. No complaints at all.

Perfect dog friendly place to stay for a relaxing mini-break.

The staff were all extremely helpful & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious & my dog was made to feel very welcome, something that is very important for me. Despite the weather being bleak, everything about this place ensured I had the relaxing weekend I needed & I will definitely stay there again.

Cosy welcoming dog friendly beach house hotel

A fabulous warm and considerate welcome. I called to let them know I was delayed on my journey due to adverse weather. The Lady who took my call offered to make arrangements for a seamless check-in and also called back to check on my journey progress. Lulworth lodge had already sent all the necessary details for parking with a link to pre-book for which I was very grateful especially on a rainy night. Breakfast was generous and prompt with a cinematic view of palm trees swaying in the wind whilst sauna-swimmers scurried past.

Walls are thin and the neighbouring room left their bathroom light on, and we could hear it going most of the night.

What a treat!

The perfect British mini break. This cosy hotel with delicious dining and superb location by the coast was comfortable, clean, and the staff were superb - friendly, cheerful and professional. A gorgeous room with sea glimpses, a comfortable bed and all the things you'd expect in a nice boutique hotel. Lovely fireplace in the dining room, great decor, and perfect location to walk over to Durdle Door from to build up an appetite for a wonderful dinner. Great breakfast.

The staff were attentive , polite and looked after us so well. Lovely atmosphere at the venue. Delicious food at supper and breakfast.

The bathroom door is too cramped to open properly, needs a different arrangement, perhaps a sliding door. Also the bathroom fan stays on, had to shut off with the fused switch

Perfect couples get away

The property is very cute, and homely. Log fire was on so it was lovely a warm! The room was comfortable and cosy. The food was fantastic, the staff were all lovely. Location is great, right by the Cove.

Exceptional hotel in an idyllic situation

The Lodge was incredibly comfortable and clean, the food delicious and locally sourced and it was ideally situated for walking on the coast path. My dog was welcomed even when she was wet and muddy. The staff were polite, friendly and couldn't have done more to make our stay perfect. The toiletries smelt divine and are all organic too.

Only drawback was white duvet covers...if you have dogs or children then bring a blanket

Superb hotel in a scenic setting

Brilliant location and superb hotel with a nothing too much attitude.

The room we had looked out towards Durdle Door which was a lovely view. However it did mean we were above the glass bin which was emptied early each morning to a cacophony of breaking glass

Great location, food and staff, shame the room quality did not match

Location, food and service from staff were all outstanding. The decor and vibe were also just right. Room was cosy and well thought out for such a small space. This meant that the below niggles did not grate as much as they could have done, and if these were sorted it would be a five star review.

The room was needing some TLC: wall paper was peeling off, paintwork peeling and shower seals mouldy. Where paintwork had been touched up colour didn’t match. The wooden floors meant you could hear every step from the rooms above and there was additional noise from kitchen staff emptying bins, changing gas bottles etc early in the morning. This meant that really it was not worth the price, at that price the decor and cleanliness needs to be top notch.
