Fabulous hotel

The hotel upgraded our room for free. Everything exceeded expectation. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious with plently of choice. Hotel was spotless,warm and comfortable. Excellent location.

We booked this venue as a gift. It was not the magical experience we’d had before in a cheaper venu

It was situated in a prime location and had easy access to local amenities.

Breakfast was poor quality. Bacon tasted off and was hard. I had to leave my breakfast. The heating and hot water in our room was not working and took the staff 3 hours to fix by re-starting the boiler. The roll top bath, the reason for booking this place, was all chipped inside and came with no spa, cleansing products to use. I had to go to Tesco to buy my own. The bathroom smelt of stale water, the taps leaked constantly and the floor looked unclean. There was no thermostat or air con system. Just an electric radiator. We were on the top floor, which involved climbing several sets of stairs. Hard work with luggage. Because the pub was serving food all day, there was a constant smell of fried food around the venue and the smell of fish and chips. Only 6 car park spaces at the venue and you had to pay for the space!

The location is excellent. The Staff and amenities were clean, easily accesible and organised. The breakfast was delicious and all of our needs were met. We also had drinks in the bar, again the service was great as was the choice of drinks. Great value for money.

Lovely place with a good location

The room was lovely. Beautifully decorated and a roll top bath in the bathroom. It felt really lovely staying in the room.

The bathroom light randomly turned itself on and off. Not great when you are using the bathroom and it plunges into darkness. The breakfast was lovely food- but we ate at 9am on a Sunday which I guess is their busy time. We waited over half an hour for our food which arrived slightly overcooked and only warm not hot. But it was edible and we ate it anyway. The staff serving were polite. There was no storage in the room.
