What an amazing weekend ! We had a lovely time in Normandy and a perfect stay at La maison d'Aline ! This beautiful cottage is THE place to go for peace and quiet and fresh salty ocean air. It is dog dog friendly and had free parking. Honfleur is 10 min way by car and Deauville around 20 min by car. There are also farms really close by (5-10 min by car) where you can buy apple juice, jams, calvados etc. I recommend coming by car so you can easily move around and enjoy the lovely area. We just LOVED it!

I´d been more happy to pay 30€ the night for such a ¨product¨. Instead, the more than 300€ the night I paid is an absolute fraud.

The best Breakfast I ever had in France. Nice terrace, not far from the beach (nearly a private beach). Beautiful

Really friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and sufficient (compared to the French breakfast in other accommodations). In the small house on the parking lot you can use the fridge for cold drinks or cheese, a parking space is always available.

The toilets on the top floor are very tiny without a ventilation system. For tall people it is exhausting to go to the toilet. The street in front of the house has no room for pedestrians, so it is dangerous to walk along the street.

The house was lovely and decorated with very good taste, and the bed was very comfortable. It was easy to access and near Honfleur, the neighbourhood is stunningly cute and green.

Rooms are quite small and wifi is too weak to use in case you need to work on a computer.

Voor Frankrijk een extreem uitgebreid uitmuntend ontbijt met linnen gedekte tafels. Veel verschillende hartige en zoete gerechten. Tuin en ook loopafstand van het strand. Calvados is mooie omgeving.

Kamer is te klein voor verblijf in voorjaar of herfst. Er is van de oppervlakte van 1 kamer 2 slaapkamers gemaakt en dito klein toilet. Dus een zitje of bureau ontbreken. En bovendien wat gehorig van omliggende kamers. Eigenlijk is de prijs dan aan de hoge kant maar wordt enigszins gecompenseerd door ontbijt.

Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, durch den Hausherren selbst zubereitet. Bei schönem Wetter auf der Terrasse vor einem riesigen Garten. Frühstücken wie Gott in Frankreich!

Zimmer etwas hellhörig

Das einzig positive waren das Bett und der sehr gepflegte Garten (der allerdings aufgrund des hohen Lärmpegels nicht genutzt werden konnte).

Gebucht insbesondere deswegen, weil Hunde angeblich willkommen seien, war diese Unterkunft die größte Urlaubsenttäuschung der letzten fast 50 Jahre, gerade bei einem Preis von über 200 Euro pro Nacht. Schon vor dem Aufenthalt hat der Eigentümer versucht die über booking.com vorgenommene Buchung zu hintergehen und angefragt, ob wir nicht direkt bei ihm buchen wollen. Angekommen stellte sich heraus, dass das Hotel direkt an einer tagsüber sehr stark befahrenen Straße liegt und der Lärmpegel sehr hoch ist. Bei offenem Fenster hört man jedes Auto und eine Nutzung des direkt zur Straße angrenzenden Gartens war nicht möglich. Da helfen auch keine schönen Liegen im Garten wenn in Richtung Landesinnere offenbar auch noch eine beliebte Motocross-Strecke liegt und ständiges Motorrad-Geräusch zu hören war. Der erste Gang aufs Zimmer: sehr enttäuschend. Der schmale Eingang und die sehr enge Treppe sind mit Koffern eine Zumutung. Statt der versprochenen 19 Quadratmeter bestand das Zimmer aus einem Bett, einer altertümlichen Kommode, zwei Nachttischen und einem schmalen Gang in Richtung Toilette, den man auch als schmal gebaute Person nicht entlang gehen konnte, ohne geduckt an der Decke anzustoßen. Maximal 12 Quadratmeter, kein Tisch an dem man sitzen kann, nicht mal eine Kofferablage war möglich. Das Bad eine Zumutung, man kann nicht stehen und die Toilette liegt in einer verschlagartigen Kammer ohne Lüftung mit Spannplattentür und einer Höhe von 1,20 Meter. Hunde sind nicht willkommen & dürfen nicht auf dem Zimmer bleiben, der Garten ist nicht abgezäunt, wer also mit Hund reist: Finger weg. Der Eigentümer lässt einen nicht ausreden und redet in sehr aggressivem Ton, gerade wenn man sich beschwert. Das Frühstück: Wer kein Süßwarenliebhaber ist, bekommt kaltes Rührei (in einer Schüssel ohne Warmhaltefunktion), zwei verschiedene Wurstsorten und eine Terrine serviert, fein abgezählt und in kleine Mini-Stücke aufgegliedert. Im Ergebnis einfach katastrophal.

Tijdens onze reis naar Quimper, Bretagne, een tussenstop gemaakt en Maison D'Aline online geboekt. Prachtige b&b, grote tuin met comfortabele plekjes in zon of schaduw. Ideaal vertrekpunt om heerlijk te fietsen. Honfleur of Tourville-sur-mer. Fantastisch ontbijtbuffet
