A truly beautiful hotel right on the sea front. The sleepy village is also great to explore. Our stay at Last Word Long Beach was absolutely wonderful as the team went above and beyond to make our honeymoon trip feel special and we really appreciated it.

The cosy hotel is situated right on the beach. It has amazing views of the ocean, beautiful interiors, incredibly kind and attentive staff and delicious food. It was a perfect stay and we will definitely come back. Once more „Big thank you” to all the staff who made our stay so amazing.

A rejuvenating experience marked by exceptional hospitality and care from all staff members.

Breakfast was innovative, delicious and healthy. The views were special. The highlight of the stay is the staff; they are exceptional: caring, kind, friendly and so hospitable and make sure they do everything to make the stay remarkable. They also went to a great deal of effort to make my partner's birthday unforgettable and amazing; the best ever! The dinners are also delicious and of course the views phenomenal. This is our third stay and the consistent high quality service and hospitality is so appreciated. Best place to stay.

The location is awesome as it's right on the beach. The meals were exceptional and the staff were very friendly. Johann in particular went the extra mile!

The hotel needs a refurb particularly in the rooms. We stayed in the junior suite which had a magnificent ocean view, it was tastefully decorated, but the bathroom needs an update. The taps, the bath tub, toilet and basins. The shower tap indicators for hot and cold water kept falling off every time we used them. The description had mentioned underfloor heating, but it only worked in a very small section of the room. A rug under the bed would have been nice so you step onto a warm rug instead of a cold floor when getting out of bed. Another thing is it would be nice to sleep with the shutters open to look at the sea, but the sliding doors would need to be changed so outsiders can't see inside the room.

Paradise; rejuvenating and the best place to stay in Cape Town.

Breakfast superb with many choices. Location perfect- on beach, sea and mountain view- picturesque. safe beach to walk; and waves ideal for surfers. This was our 2nd stay and we were just as impressed as the 1st stay. And the nightly winter-suprises - just wow! The care of the staff is beyond exceptional; great teamwork and everybody is helpful and friendly; sincerly so.

The staff treated us like royalty. Our holiday was incredibly luxurious. Awesome place.

The breakfast was amazing, as were the dinners. The effort put into making us happy was phenomenal. The staff outdid themselves. The surprise they organised on our first night left us speechless. Absolutely incredible place and we loved our stay and will definitely visit again.

The pool area needs work. The pool was dirty on the only sunny day we had and the paving next to the pool needs to be repaired.

The breakfast was delicious; lots of innovative choices and the fresh fruit selection special. The location was superb; on the beach with magnificent sea and mountain views. The sound of the sea was so soothing. The staff members were all exceptional; professional, friendly, attentive, helpful and kind. They were really great and enhanced the stay. cozy relaxing house near the beach.

it was a kind of traditional house with thatched roof, I do love the atmosphere in the house. Henobi is such a kind, welcoming lady, I do enjoyed talking with her. very relaxing atmosphere.

I came here in May and it was winter in Cape Town, and I didn’t know many houses don’t have proper heaters. There was one heating panel in the room but for my Japanese body it was freezing during the night. but this is also an experience, still I love to have an experience.

Love Love Love it !!! This is our 3rd visit ! The staff make you feel like you are part of their family, they are so warm and friendly. During Breakfast "Antie Ria" & her kitchen staff takes special care of you, everything is fresh & delicious. Dinner time is a real treat with magical views... surfers..... people walking their dogs and the calm waves breaking onto the white soft sand of long beach. Absolutely breathtaking !! The entire dinner menu is made with care. Pool area overlooks the beach. The balcony on the first floor is great for a cozy chat & cocktails, followed by a long walk on the beach where you can see an old shipwreck and beautiful mountains cuddling the bay. Special thank you to Jackie & Fanie they make you feel right at home. Brendon and the rest of staff are of great help. The whole team works well together.

Unfortunately, we were charged double the cost of the room. Who did this - booking.com or a hotel-I don't know. The money was not returned. And that's almost $2,000. I'm tired of writing letters. If the problem is in booking.com , I put a solid 10 to the hotel, if not....

Magical Beach Vacation at The Last Word Guaranteed

What in amazing experience from top to bottom. Jackie and her staff are absolutely the difference makers and there is no special requests unfulfilled. The accommodation are only 6 well appointed and thought out guestrooms with every creature comfort you would expect from a five-star boutique anywhere in the world. Not only do you have one of the most magnificent views, and a wonderful beach, to watch surfers, and the four-legged friends but the main dining/lounge and ocean front patio offer a setting that instantly sets you at ease. We were so pleased with our stay at the last word, and are excited to return in the future. Although the property was in a Beautiful location we felt that it was over priced for what we received

stunning beach front location,

Disappointed with the room, as it was very tired in certain areas for example, bathroom shower needed re grouting wash hand basin tap loose, bathtub plug rusty, cupboards and woodwork chipped some decorations stained Bad smell outside our room number 2 ( drains) Although the quality of the food was excellent the menu was the same for both nights also no wine buckets so warm wine and also only water bottles put on the table this was also warm. Although breakfast was good there was no breakfast menu and only realised as we were leaving the table that a cooked hot breakfast option was available. service was a bit hap hazard
