Best house on the square but a bit overpriced

Lovely located in the historical old town of Paraty. This historic building exudes charm with its impressive artworks. Fantastic day spa.

Room was badly soundproofed (I know what my neighbours did last night.😉). Room rates are fairly high.

Excellent! Would stay again

Sandi Hotel had excellent facilities and very helpful staff. In particular Ana who helped us arrange a boat trip immediately on arrival.

Pool looked really nice. Just a shame I didn’t get to use it because it was being cleaned for hours every morning.

Perfect spot in Paraty!

The location is great! The inner garden and the 2 pools also very nice and refreshing. The breakfast choice and quality was excellent and the staff is super helpful and friendly.

The pools was on maintenance in some of the days. Our room was close to the house keeping room and they would do too much noise in the early morning which was unpleasant.

The place to stay at Parati

Sandi Hotel is a truly exceptional property in the heart of Paraty. Set in a beautifully preserved historic building, it effortlessly combines colonial charm with modern comfort. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with stylish decor that reflects the rich heritage of the area. The staff are genuinely kind and attentive, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. And the setting — surrounded by lush gardens and Paraty’s cobblestone streets — is simply magical. A perfect blend of history, elegance, and hospitality.

It was quite difficult to communicate, as no one seemed to speak even basic English. This led to confusion with our order and uncertainty about what we owed. It made the overall experience more stressful than it should have been.

Great hotel in the heart of Paraty old town

This really is an exceptional hotel; feels small and homely but with plenty of space, a great bar and two affiliated restaurants both serving amazing food. The staff were wonderful, always very friendly and happy to help. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the lovely Paraty historical centre. I have travelled a lot and this is definitely up there as one of my favourite hotels!

A paradise for the detail oriented guest

1. Breakfast is outstanding 2. Decor of common area is outstanding 3. Exceptional good taste and detail oriented 4. Staff - especially at the bar and breakfast buffet - were wonderful. 5. Parking lot is close by 6. Location is great 7. If you can afford it, ask for the newly renovated rooms. The bathrooms are a treat!

1. We booked 2 rooms and, despite our request, they were not together and receptionist blamed it on Booking.com 2. Rooms were supposed to be in same category and were actually same price, but our friends were put in a much smaller room, very stuffy and with only one window, not as nearly as nice furniture as ours. 3. The rooms they rated as same category should not be in same price range. This was not fair to our friends. 4. When reserving the De luxe rooms, make sure you ask for the rooms with more windows. That is a fair bargain. The rooms with one window are not.

Wonderful stay, the best staff ever, the best breakfast, the location is perfect, the hotel is beautiful and charming, we can't wait to come back. Our room (a suite with 2 bedrooms) was very nice. Once again, congrats to the staff that is very welcoming and helpful and tries to make you enjoy your stay as much as possible.

Everything was perfect, good food, big comfortable and clean room, best location and great staff. Their Bar and restaurant are the best in town, concierge service took us to great tours.

Would absolutely stay again.

Excellent breakfast. We were fortunate to have been given one of their new suites, (#888) there were super comfortable beds, and an amazing shower room which included a huge bathtub as well. Perfect for a couple travelling with 2 kids as there are 2 bedrooms and a sitting room.
