A not-to-be-missed hotel in Paraty

Wonderful stay

The property was beautiful, staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to please their guests. We absolutely loved the location, right in the middle of the historic town and near the pier.

We loved everything but perhaps would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room

Wonderful upscale B&B in Paraty!

The property was beautiful, extremely well maintained, and in an excellent location within the historic district. The staff is warm, welcoming, well trained and pay attention to every little detail. They go out of the way to accommodate the guests all the time. We had someone with us who was lactose intolerant and they baked her special things so that she didn't miss out on anything. The breakfast was delicious and it was served at anytime based on guests' requests. The daily tea was a great way to end the afternoons. We would return to Casa Turquesa in a heart beat.

The staff were absolutely fantastic and they could not have done more to meet all our needs. They guided us to some incredibly beautiful tranquil places and organised all logistics to get there and back. The hotel environment was calm, peaceful, stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff offered a fabulous breakfast and seemed not to mind that we ate loads. The hotel is situated in the centre of historic Paraty and the high tides outside the door were a fun experience. There were plenty of bars and good restaurants in easy walking distance.

During the day there is little to do on your doorstep. There are no beaches in Paraty so you need to take 30 min taxis rides for everything which can make the overall stay very expensive, as travel is not cheap. Private Boat hire was arranged to go to beaches too but again this was a 6hr day tour and expensive. The pool area is not really an option to use. It’s tiny, more like a plunge pool and because it is small and protected by walls it makes it extremely hot in high season, (the area and the water). It was disappointing also, given the cost of the room, that free tea, coffee and cold bottled water was not provided in your room. This differed from other less expensive hotels that we stayed in in Brazil

Casa Turquesa is an incredibly charming hotel. Not only the Pousada itself is absolutely beautiful and curated with utmost taste, but the staff go out of their way to make your stay lovely and as comfortable as possible. Staying at Casa Turquesa feels like being at home: a gem of a home.

It was like a honeymoon type of service and stay!

Everything! The staff, service, cleanliness, hospitality, food, drinks, we loved everything. The owner, Tête, welcomed us, guided us to the Cinderella type decorated room, provided turn-down service every night! The chef made coconut milk for my wife who has food sensitivities; she was extremely grateful and loved the gesture!

Great location in a quiet part of Paraty‘s historical center, close to the port, with all attractions at the door step. The owner Teté runs a perfect place, with only nine very individual and nicely decorated rooms. The staff is super friendly, in a very personal way. Guest are made to feel that they are really welcome.

Eu e minha esposa ficamos hospedados pela segunda vez na Casa Turquesa e foi simplesmente espetacular (mais uma vez). Paraty é incrível, sendo um dos nossos destinos preferidos no Brasil. Já ficamos hospedados em outros hotéis e pousadas em Paraty, mas a Casa Turquesa é incomparável na nossa opinião. Voltaremos com certeza, pela Casa como um todo, pelo atendimento e carinho dos funcionários, pela localização, pelo café da manhã, etc.

a decoração, as instalações, o quarto amplo. Por exigir o uso das havaianas dentro da casa, a higiene na casa é excepcional. O chá da tarde é divino, com um bolo fresquinho no chá da tarde. Um mimo.
