Old Town Gem

Excellent location in the heart of the old town. Lovely quirky old building with beautiful garden. Good breakfast. Our host Aline was very pleasant and helpful. We liked the place so much, we extended our stay.

Beautiful old building

The hotel is in a beautiful old building, in an excellent location. My room had a vaulted ceiling, old wooden furniture, and a balcony with a nice view. Breakfast was good.

The bed had a nylon sheet covering the mattress, and just one cotton sheet and then a quilt. It wasn't comfortable or hygienic. The shower room was OK, but could be cleaner in places. Despite this, I really enjoyed my stay because the building is so traditional and well-located. l recommend the hotel for people who prioritise atmosphere over facilities.

Great staff, beautiful, and historical place.

The staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. They were accommodating and helped me with my huge luggage. Eduardo the owner, Aline, and Robson were very professional and sweet. Good breakfast. The place is very central. I want to stay there again.

Perfect accomodation in the centre of Paraty

Very nice accomodation in a 300 years old house. Located in the centre of Paraty, but in a quite road so that the accomodation is quite. Very friendly and helpful personel, very good breakfast.

You pay for the privilege of staying in a property that is an architectural and historical wonder (300 years of existence)...Like art, one appreciates this or one appreciates less. It is a question of personal choice.

Little to add: the place and its historical identity is the reason one chooses to stay and pay. The owners (Marcelo and Eduardo) are extremely helpful with hints and advices on everything from restaurants to iconic aspects of the City of Paraty. They are discreet, making one feel that their place is actually yours, for the duration of the stay. Is it expensive, yes, but this is a relative question when one appreciates art, in its varied forms. Aline and André and Elizethe are equally welcoming and make one’s stay feel heartwarming. Very unique place to stay, with very distinctive suites. Worth the experience, without a doubt.

Cosy, relaxing and great shade from sun.

Wow, I liked a lot of things, being able to sit in the shade in the morning next to the pool was really comfortable, breakfast was well planned and I was offered eggs etc very nice! Staff awesomingly friendly, especially since they were among the first for me to speak English with, very appreciated! Room perfect, with a small balcony and view of the street. If I return to Paraty, I will come back! Thanks a lot!

A little bit noisy, but thats NOT the hotels fault, neighbors were arguing. Fridge a it noisy.

Essa foi minha segunda hospedagem na pousada muitos anos depois. Gosto de seu ambiente agradável e caseiro, café da manhã bem servido, quartos confortáveis e excelente localização no centro histórico de Paraty. Recomendo!

No geral, adoramos a estadia.

Localização ótima! Prédio histórico, lindo. Tudo muito perto. Tudo limpo. Todos na Pousada recebem muito bem, mas a alma da Pousada é a recepcionista Aline. Atende com um sorriso no rosto o tempo todo, muito solícita e disponível, nos deixou muito à vontade.

O café da manhã é muito bom, mas o modelo self-service, de autoatendimento evitaria a necessidade de ficar pedindo toda hora o que você precisa. O chuveiro está soltando um cheiro de queimado, íamos avisar na saída, mas nos esquecemos.

A Pousada é super bem localizada e a equipe é maravilhosa, super simpáticas e prestativas. O café da manhã é excelente! A Pousada fica em uma casa colonial, com móveis e objetos de época. Muitos livros à disposição. Depois das 21 horas você só entra com chave que é disponibilizada no chek-in.

A acústica não é muito boa. Do meu quarto eu ouviu tudo na pousada, o quarto ao lado e a recepção que ficava abaixo do meu.
