Disappointed

Good position in betws, close to mountains

Food was disappointing for a 4 star hotel Vegetable spring rolls were poor- one had almost no filling Pesto was not detectable in one main dish, sauce was mainly cream Other main course had badly cooked broccoli( inedible) Breakfast had no granola, only fruit was melon pieces Sausage was unpleasant, mushrooms were poor We were both very disappointed with the meals Too was pleasant, but had no visible way to turn off the heating in the bathroom.

A very comfortable and warm stat on a grey rainy day.

Our room was large with beautiful bathroom facilities. Staff were caring friendly and efficient. The food was traditional pub grub (the restaurant was being renovated at the time of our stay) served excellently by our very personable waitress.

Staff members all so friendly & approachable chatty and always smiling We upgraded our room to a 4 poster bed and wow we just feel in love Old fashioned but so touchy with character the bed was so comfortable and big we just could have stayed longer The bath was so big also with his & her joining sinks which just give it the extra touch Food is 10 out of 10 again with friendly staff breakfast was amazing loads to choose from and the eating area had plenty of large chairs to just chill on making it again perfect . We have stayed here 3 times in 10 weeks celebrating both myself & my husband birthdays the place is a brilliant base to stay as you can drive to many beautiful areas around

Five star staff at a four star hotel. Rooms were warm, clean and comfortable.Evening meal was very good as was breakfast.Car parking at the rear of the hotel is a nice bonus.We will stay here again.

Very good standard hotel perfect as a base for exploring the wonders on its doorstep. Great food!

Great facilities and as you would hope for and expect at the price. The staff and their ability to meet our group's changing requirments is worth a mention. The food is very very good, especially after a day in the mountains! Breakfast again is spot on and recommended.

Super friendly helpful staff and a great night porter.

We got in at 2145..the restaurant was closed. Nothing was open close by. The receptionist was excellent. She offered that the night porter might be able to offer sandwiches when he arrived. He approached us and offered to make sandwiches. Out came lovely fresh ham and cheese sandwiches. He was very helpful and friendly. What great service by the night porter. Out of 3 nights travelling,we said this was the highlight of accommodation and super friendly helpful staff. I/ We will be back.. More interesting when listening to people they were all returning because of their overall customer service. Thank you

Not a particularly restful overnight stay.

It’s central location in the town. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. Staff were generally friendly.

Some public areas, especially the corridors in the main building and our bedroom in particular were tired and in need of refurbishment. The bed in our room was also very uncomfortable. Not great value for money.

We stayed for a one night stay and the hotel staff were amazing with us. They provided facilities for us to get ready in ahead of our check in time, the room was spotless and the breakfast was exceptional. Our room was stunning, had views of the river and all amenities for a lovely stay! We would 100% recommend and we will return

Convenient

The room was quite large, compared to a lot of hotels. A bed and then a seperate seating area.

Slightly randomly, I was sat in my room with the curtains open and workmen walked across the roof outside the window looking in. Fortunately I was decent but I think most hotels would let guests know if that was going to happen. Not here.

Poor cleanliness and facilities but good location

Stayed in the superior king suite and was really dissapointed :( cobwebs everywhere , inches of dust on the lights , TV had white spots behind it regardless of the channel (on the screen) which made it hard to watch , shower was hurendous , no pressure , taps were broken and loose , toilet seat was lob sided , windows were difficult to open, shower gels etc left for us were empty which meant I had to request more , so so disappointing for the high price !!

Hotel was lovely so nice food amazing drink amazing staff amazing location is just wow, breakfast well worth the £15 each its so good. Will definitely come back.

Only thing was we were staying in the lodge room and you had to come out the hotel walk round the back next to busy outdoor resteraunt to enter and exit, sounds petty but trust me stay in the main body of the hotel and will be better. Show bathroom wasnt the best ive stayed in bit outdated but does the job.
