Great location, nice interior. The hotel has a soul. The restaurant (grill) is fine, breakfast and lunch were good enough apart from stale croissants.
I wish the staff at reception were more polite in basic communication, not rudely interrupting when asking questions.
The water pressure is not enough to have a shower (glad I had a bath in the room). The main entrance door makes a slap noise when closed and that is heard quite well in the room above, every minute or so – can likely be addressed by adjusting the door slightly.

Great Hotel, good location, parking wasn’t an issue. The food was really lovely and great value for money. Good size rooms and we had a nice new large en-suite.
4 poster bed creaked with even the tiniest movements, mattress needs replacing.

The central location and being able to use the leisure facilities of the sister hotel if we wished to do so. Staff were very friendly. Always willing to chat, giving advice on what could be seen in the local area.
Not many plug sockets in the room, but I guess that wasn't a consideration when building coaching inns during the 18th-19th centuries.

The things I liked most about the hotel were that the room was warm and comfortable, and the location was excellent, right in the very center of the village. The breakfast room was also very bright and pleasant, which made mornings enjoyable. In addition, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
What I didn’t like was the breakfast coffee: it was only possible to get filter coffee, and you couldn’t order a double espresso. Unfortunately, the coffee itself was quite poor.
The shower setup was also a bit awkward, as the tap to adjust the water temperature was located outside the shower. This meant you had to step out and open the shower door to change it, which was rather inconvenient.
Another downside was that our room overlooked one of the hotel’s restaurants. During the afternoon and evening, the music from downstairs was quite loud and could easily be heard from the room. To make matters worse, it was the kind of bland pop music that I personally found quite unpleasant.
