Friendly stay in a perfect location

My wonderful first time at a hostel

Home youth hostel was a wonderful experience for me. I got to meet great people from all around the world and formed strong connections with them. The whole place is built a university dormitory, with a warm, cosy, and unique vibe - especially in the living room.At some point, it truly feels like home. The staff is great, and if ever you travel alone, the hostel offers a variety of activities that you immerse yourself right away. I would a 100% recommend it !

It was great. I'd be happy to stay again and to recommend it to others. I booked it as it was single beds and not dorms. The staff were helpful and some were friendly.

It might be easier for staff to allocate rooms but I think it would be easier if there was the option of male or female dorms only, Instead of all rooms being mixed sex. I think it would make some ladies feel more comfortable if they were not the only female sharing a room mainly full of men

Great location, lovely staff.

The location is amazing! And the staff are lovely, especially Tobias - very welcoming and helpful. I stayed in a women’s 3 bed and it had a nice balcony with great views. Everyone was very friendly, and I felt safe in the neighborhood and hostel. I didn’t feel weird there being 35+, but of course ear plugs were helpful with roommates!

A nice and clean hostel with very friendly staff. Great location, and the air conditioners work well :))

Great location in the city center, close to the central market. Everything was clean, including the shared bathrooms. The room was for 4 people, and it was fairly quiet — though maybe I was just lucky.

There were no female-only rooms left on the website, so I booked a mixed one. I understood that it meant both men and women would be staying there, but I didn’t expect to be the only woman. I realize this can be difficult to manage, but it would be nice if in the future such things could be taken into consideration when assigning rooms

Good for socializing, not good for rest.

Staff is super friendly, easy to talk to and very helpful. The location is amazing, you are right in the middle of the old city.

The hostel is spread over 5 floors, all built around an open space where the reception and kitchen are on the ground floor. Unfortunately, there is no sound insulation in the rooms. Music plays constantly at reception and people socialize in the kitchen until late at night. You can hear every conversation, footsteps on the stairs, showers, and the music. If you’re a light sleeper or want to go to bed before midnight, it’s nearly impossible to rest. The hostel only gets quiet after 1:00 am and even then you hear everyone returning to their rooms.

Perfect place for social travellers

So cozy and clean, it was well laid out so that you could easily socialise and the events meant you could meet so many people. Great for solo or group travellers. Perfect location too.

It was always so hot and humid in the non-bedroom areas but that's Valencia in the summer I guess!

Located in the centre of everything, great staff, comfortable rooms

Staff were incredibly nice, good bathroom facilities, comfy beds for a reasonable price which allowed for me and 2 of my mates to have a private 3 bed room. Aircon was unreal which was nice especially with the Valencia heat.

The staff was exceptional, friendly and very helpful. The hostel is located in a perfect location.

Lovely City Break in the heart of the Old Town.

Loved the location. Steps from the Silk Exchange and the Central Market. Easy to visit the monuments and parks nearby in the Old Town. I also loved how clean the hostel was. And there were many activities on for guests, though I was too busy sight seeing to partake in the beer pong or sangria nights. The Reception Staff were multilingual and could not do enough for you. Tobias and Duda were brilliant.

I had to wear my sleep headband with speakers on their highest setting because, even after midnight quiet hours, there were doors slamming, beds creaking. I had a requested a quiet room but I was given a room right over the social living room and the sounds traveled up. I do understand now that it would be difficult to find a quiet corner in such a social and friendly hostel.

Best Hostel Ever

As a woman who has been solo traveling for over 12 years, I can honestly say that this is the best and safest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It was incredibly clean, the atmosphere was friendly, and it truly felt like home. Now that I’m back in my own home, I’m trying not to cry while writing this. :) I will never forget Home Youth Hostel. A huge thank you to the entire staff for their hospitality — your kindness and dedication truly made a difference!

Excellent!

We really liked the socializing area where we had free drinks in the evenings and you could meet a lot of people. The location is excellent, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Common areas are clean. One of the best hostels ever!

Absolutely loved it, met some amazing people here

At first, I was a bit hesitant because the beds have no curtains whatsoever but it turned out not to be an issue at all. With my roommates, it just felt like a sleepover and wasn't uncomfortable at all. The hostel is extremely social, finding friends is guaranteed if you spend time in the common room. In addition, there are daily free walking tours and lots of other events The staff was very welcoming and lovely. One of them is studying in Hamburg and she was teaching the others some German. Talking to them was very endearing The kitchen comes with a lot of utensils. Both the kitchen and the bathrooms are clean. The shower comes with a lot of coat hooks, so does the dormitory. The hostel is located in the old town, restaurants, bars, and attractions are just around the corner. You can rent bikes for cheap money and have your washing done and dried for free 10€, which comes in very handy

If you prefer heading to sleep early, bring some earplugs and a sleeping mask My (massive) backpack barely fit the locker. If you carry very big luggage, you might face similar problems Beware that it is a long way to the beach from the town center

Best hostel in a long time

+ super comfy beds (slept great!), lockers, rooms have balconies, really powerful showers, very clean everywhere, unbelievably friendly and fun staff, super social and easy to meet people, loads of activities, loads of free food and cheap booze, nice common area,

- bar crawl bad and overpriced - beds not bunks so very exposed, but i was in all-female room so didn't mind - no terrace/outdoor space

Great hostal, location and people

The central location, the friendly atmosphere and the staff especially Toby who played chess and was so much fun. the staff host events every night at 8.30 and even a free walking tour every day.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The staff were incredible and genuinely cared about our needs. They did our clothes washing for us and upgraded our room for free. The location is also very convenient. Will definitely be back.

Very social hostel with great kitchen

Room as clean and expected with single beds, not bunk. Bathrooms are clean and they have some soaps/shampoos. Kitchen is great, labelled well and easy to use, fully stocked. Lots of social events going on, people are often socializing and making new friends. Friendly staff around 24/7. Not that loud even though my room is beside check in table.

Had to pay a deposit and towel fee to get a towel, and it was dirty (I had to switch it). Had to pay another deposit for checking in (but u can give an ID instead). The blanket was thin (one layer thick sheet, not a comforter) but they gave me another thicker one upon request. Room door is loud somewhat when closing. Bathroom is shared between both genders, a bit of a surprise when I got there but it was fine.

Exceptional, highly recommend!!

Absolutely loved this hostel and would highly recommend. The staff were wonderful. Very helpful and always around if you needed anything at all. The location was 2 minutes walk from the hostel and the view was really nice from the hostel balcony. For my first hostel in Spain, I would definitely come again
