Nice stay with hostel vibes

Fully what I expected for a hostel :) Nice staff, big common room.

There were no towels/no shampoo, but I'd say that is normal for a hostel.

Comfortable stay

The bed was very comfortable! The staff are very nice and friendly, and help you with things. The place was quiet so we slept well. Also a good location right in town! Also nice big mirror in the room.

It would be nice to have bathroom in the bedroom rather than external, also the lift is a bit slow.

Great choice for the price

The receptionist was very helpful and nice, everything was clearly marked, easy for orientation. Breakfast was in a buffet style, nice. We appreciated luggage storage for a day after checkout, we think their arrangement is pretty safe for your belongings. The location is on the metro line from/to the airport and still close to everywhere (walking distance). I like this type of hostels, where travelers can meet if they want (and don't have to if they want to rest).

Our room was very dark, because it had a window heading to a narrow dark isle, so we needed to keep the lights on even during a day. Sufficient for spending just night though.

Good for one night

Good location and there were many activities with other guests. Hostel was clean.

Air conditioning was controlled from reception and we asked few times to make our room colder because it was really hard to sleep at night. Every time they set our temperature to colder it was for max 1h. Toilet was really small and it was hard to sit like a normal person.

Good Location and Friendly Staff

The location of this hostel is great—it's very close to public transport and the city center. The staff were also wonderful and very friendly. The breakfast was typical for a hostel, and you are expected to clean and rinse your own dishes afterward. This was my first time staying in a mixed-gender dorm with three men, but it was a perfectly fine experience as there were no spots available in the female dorm. The bathrooms and showers were clean. A small suggestion would be to add hooks inside the shower stalls for clothes, as the ones on my floor seemed to be missing. I stayed in early August during a heatwave. The room had fans, which helped a little, but it was still quite hot. This is something to be aware of if you're traveling during the summer. Overall, it's a good place to stay for its location and friendly atmosphere.

A great stay for a few nights

I liked the welcome written card, it was a nice touch. The staff was amazing :) always clean facilities.

I didn't like that the bedroom door opened at night at 2am. I don't know what happened, but we made sure it was locked before going to sleep. I woke up instantly cause it made noise and closed it.

Hot and sticky

Good pub crawl

It was 78 degrees at night and they didn’t fix the AC for my entire stay, even though when I got here my roommates had complained already about it. I was here for 4 days and could not sleep because of it. Also the elevator is way too slow.

Overall it was good value for money, just always keep in mind that a hostel can be noisy which is beyond their control.

The property itself was great, even the staff. Although some moments were bumpy due to load students, the staff did their best to keep the hostel as quiet as possible.

WORST HOSTEL of a two week trip in Spain

The location

Speaking of the hostel : the beds are HORRIBLE. The mattresses are very uncomfortable and completely over used. The shower room is worthy of a mediocre campsite: RUSTY and full of FLIES. The window is beautiful but doesn't close properly and the room is located opposite a club si the room is very NOISY. It’s a good thing to organize pub tours, but you should urgently revue your basics

Incredible staff

Amazing location. Beds had curtains which allowed for more privacy. Kitchen was really well equipped, and the common areas were really comfortable and spacious. The highlight for me was the staff. They were all super friendly and helpful and had really good recommendations regarding where to go and where to eat :) Also, during most of our stay there was free food at lunch and dinner which was a really pleasant surprise (the curry was delicious).

Very clean hostel in good location and very friendly staff

Great location, very friendly staff, and nice hostel. There are activities organized by the hostel, and I think that's great. It was very clean and we liked it. The downside is low sound isolation (you can hear other guests in the rooms next to yours (we were in a double room - just two of us), or in the corridor. The room temperature could be a bit higher, and the interest a little bit faster. All in all, great experience.

Nice place and nice staff, but big noise in the night and dirty bathrooms

The location is good and the staff was very kind. Sheets and blankets where clean.

The room's floor wasn't very clean, as well as the bathrooms, all quite dirty. But the biggest problem was the noise during the night: people shouting, fighting, drinking and smoking in the corridors, and general hell and troubles all night long.

Incredible!!!!

Purple Nest has not only the best location in Valencia, but also the most incredible staff ever. They are always very accommodating and helpful, cheerful and professional. As a solo traveler I never feel alone at the Nest. Plenty of activities and friends to share wonderful adventures and memories. I highly recommend if you are looking for the ‘perfect’ hostel.

Absolutely amazing

This place is absolutely amazing! Everyone is so friendly and our room was the best.

With my partner we booked a private room with private bathroom, and it was lovely, the only very small detail is that the bathroom was outside of the room, we knew about it, and to be honest it wasn’t a big deal.

Great for solo travellers

Purple Nest is like a well oiled machine. It’s a really big hostel and great for solo travellers as they organise lots of activities. The kitchen is really spacious and there is a great dining area. All the staff were really lovely :)

The bunk beds are quite basic without a little shelf or curtain or anything, but it didn’t actually bother me.
