A night in Ibis Chur

The bed was very comfortable, especially the pillows! All very clean and in order. Check in and out wete fast (it's good that they have a check out at 12pm).

For the price, the room could have had at least complementary coffee or tea, and water. The place is 25 mins walk from the station, so if you have luggages probably the best to go by bus.

It's was decent.

The rooms were too small to open a suitcase. There was a water kettle in the room, but no tea bags. When I ask for one, I have been told to pay 5 CHF, the same price as tea from the machine. I find it super strange.

Excellent for Bernina Express travellers

Comfortable rooms, excellent proximity to the old town, super helpful concierge, good early breakfast for those catching Bernina Express Chur offers free bus travel for tourists so we got free, easy travel to the old town at night and free travel to Chur Station for the Bernina Express Note: the hotel is located near Chur West station, not Chur Central. If you arrive in Chur, just take a train one stop to Chur West (or ideally arrange your free travel pass before you arrive for the free bus)

A comfortable stay for one night!

It was a good stop over for one night - breakfast items were fresh and it was above a McDonald’s for a convenient meal!

We were put into the highest room on Floor 5 (top of the building) and had to drag our heavy suitcases up 4 flights of stairs! Some staff were not friendly and quite rude and dismissive. It’s not in a great location so had to get a taxi to and from the station which we were aware of prior to arriving. There was a weird aroma in the entry lobby and lift constantly.

Great pitstop for the Bernina Express

The gentleman on reception was very welcoming, warm and friendly, really informative with good advice. The hotel was really clean and was a good location a 25 minute walk from the train station or 7 minutes bus ride. The room was clean and spacious, the mattress was super comfy.

The room was very cold, despite putting the thermostat on full heat it didn't get warm so my sleep was very disturbed from being cold. Tea making facilities in the room would have been nice.

Wonderful stay - I couldn't recommend more

We had an absolutely amazing one night stay at the Ibis. Our room was the perfect size for the both of us, maybe a little squishy with our suitcases but completely manageable. Both the room and the bathroom were exceptionally clean, and we were very grateful our room was ready for an early check-in. We had a great view of one of the surrounding mountains and the hotel as a whole was very accessible. We booked this hotel for its close proximity to the McDonalds (as it was on my bucket list to try Swiss McDonalds) and we could certainly smell it the second we stepped into the lobby - which we liked but might be a downside for other people. The location was great and the lovely receptionist gave us recommendations for a local Christmas market that was on. They informed us that we could get a deal with the nearby cable-car but unfortunately it was closed the day we were there.

I don't have any negatives about this hotel. I believe some people might not like the smell of McDonalds, but it wasn't a negative to us. I think the only poorer thing was that the room was very very hot but the access to an AC was very appreciated.

Had all we needed. As a bonus, this property was was close to the bus stop, so was easy to get into town.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, it’s fine if you just need to eat something, but otherwise I would recommend to just purchase something from a local bakery.

Comfy, clean hotel, with added benefits for a longer stay

Room was comfortable and clean, if a little small. Quite a bit smaller than standard Premier Inn room. Bathroom was well appointed. Sheets were spotless and pillows were comfortable too. Hand and shower soap provided. 24 hour bar was a bonus. Breakfast - couldn't comment on as didn't have it, seemed expensive for what was on offer though. General areas were also clean. Balcony was a nice thing to have. If you stay more than one night then you get a free bus ticket each, from the hotel, that takes you into town. Also gives 50% off the local cable car at Brambrüesch, 3 bus stops away.

Balcony door was difficult to open. No tea making facilities. Limited plug sockets. No carpet on the floor, but I can't decide whether I prefer that or not, at least it was swept every day.

Balcony was unusable due to close protocols the next one. I couldn’t get the air on to set below 23 degrees so it was too warm. The views were of the petrol station. The builders renovation work started noisily at 7.30 am. Room was compact.

Location far from areas of interest and restaurants. Only Mcdonalds and KFC nearby. Car dealerships around the hotel. Tight space, big luggage cannot fit anymore. Shower floor was leaking .

Nice facility with easy access to town

The room was nice and a bus stop to the train station is almost right outside the door.

McDonald’s opens late and there are no restaurants near by that we saw if you chose to go out for breakfast. For dinner we made sure that we ate in town before returning here.

Very clean and modern hotel. Beautiful views over the valley from the 3rd floor. Great airconditioning. Awesome service on the reception.
