Mountain top charm

What a delightful treasure to come across. Bergpension is a cosy lodge tucked on the edge of the Brambrüesch moutain with commanding views of Chur and the valley. Mine host Thomas is welcoming, a great cook (just try his Làngos von Emese!) and helpful with tourist and travel guidance. We arrived from Chur by taxi, but departed by the cable car, with the top station just a brief stroll from the cottage - and Chur Barnhof a short walk from the bottom station. Same travel time as the taxi, but half the price and a hundred times the viewing experience. Next time, we'll arrive by cable car!

The perfect scenic and serene get-away with the personal touch.

We left too early for breakfast so they supplied us with a cut lunch instead, which was perfect. The restaurant meals there were home made and delicious. The host ensured our taxi was there on time to take us to our train on departure. And, of course, the stunning Swiss mountain scenery and views were as beautiful as we'd hoped.

Beautiful location to relax and enjoy nature.

Amazing atmosphere and location. Spectacular views of the area. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. The food and drinks are delicious. The included breakfast was tasty and filling. The staff are friendly and helpful.

If you are not driving a car here, the transportation becomes limited. The nearest bus stop is 6.2 km away in Malix. The best bet for those not driving is to get a taxi or Uber. Luckily we were able to get an Uber.

We spent just one night at Bergpension Battagliahütte, and we are absolutely thrilled with this place! The views and the surrounding nature are simply breathtaking — it’s like stepping into a postcard. A special thank you to the host and his family for their incredible hospitality. They made us feel so welcome, and the atmosphere was very warm and heartfelt. Secret pocket of the world- that won't stay secret forever!

Tomas and family treated us like family! They were so kind, accommodating and helpful during our stay. We asked if vegan was an option and they accommodated us. Tomas even helped us arrange a taxi. Nothing was a problem. The surroundings is like heaven on earth, and is absolutely breathtaking. You will not want to leave!

The most perfect stay in a Swiss chalet where we felt right at home.

The location is a bit off the beaten track, but easily reached by cable car or car. It’s so peaceful and the views are beautiful. If you want to wake up to the sound of cowbells, you couldn’t choose a better place. The hosts were also super welcoming. You immediately felt part of the family. It is clear that the owners are an active part in the local community and that they pride themselves on great food and traditional recipes. Our stay felt very special and we couldn’t have asked for more.

Summertime stay. Incredibly friendly and accommodating owners. Incredible location with beautiful scenic views. The town of Chur is very nice. Staying here (away from it all) adds a totally different dimension to the visit. Tip: If you're in a group, have some take the gondolas up while the driver (and those afraid of heights) go in the car. Both routes are beautiful.

Sehr nette und kommunikativer Gastgeber innen, äußerst gemütliche Zimmer, wo wir sehr gut geschlafen haben. Das Frühstück sowie das Abendessen ist ausgezeichnet: hier habe ich das beste Cordon bleu meines Lebens gegessen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gerade für die Schweiz herausragend gut.

Tolle Lage, sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber!

Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, er hat mich am Nachmittag angerufen und hat mir die Infos bezüglich des Abendessens gegeben. Bei unserer Ankunft war er sehr hilfsbereit, auch für weitere Unternehmungen in der Schweiz hatte er einige wertvolle Tipps. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und reichlich. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder 😉.

Vistas buenas pero no repetiremos

La ubicación es privilegiada de ahí creo el alto precio por una habitación básica , nos esperaron para el check in, nos calentaron la comida que trajimos .

Reservamos la habitación con baño en habitación , y no es lo que obtuvimos , obtuvimos una habitación sin baño , el baño estaba a bajo en una escaleras apartado , no ideal con niños y no ideal dado que no era lo que habíamos reservado. No sentimos bastante acosados para hacer el check in y pago ( mi hijo no se encontraba bien por las curvas hasta llegar al lugar y vomito fuera del coche ) el hombre se quedo mirando me vez de darnos algo de intimidad y tiempo . Después acoso para hacer el check out te dan 1 hora justa para desayunar e irte a las 8:30 a 9:30 desayuno a la vez que check out . Mientras hacían el desayuno se peleaban en la cocina . Desayuno escaso para 4 yo avise previamente que era vegana y me trajo pimientos y tomates cortados para desayunar , mientras a al familia de al lado (también 4 personas que hablaban su idioma) no paraban de traerles más y más cosas.

La Svizzera è bella ma troppo cara

Titolari del rifugio multo gentili, disponibili e cortesi. Località all'arrivo degli impianti di risalita invernali, boschi, prati, percorsi mountain-bike, grande tranquillità e clima fresco (1.600 metri di altitudine)

Premesso che per gli italiani andare in Svizzera significa trovare tutto che costa almeno il doppio... però ... anche se si tratta di un rifugio alpino e non si possono pretendere le comodità di un Hotel **** (quanto il prezzo applicato), nelle camere gli asciugamani da doccia erano quelli da viso ... i prodotti da bagno erano riciclati da quelli lasciati da precedente ospiti (incluso un rasoio usa e getta - già usato), una delle due sedie sul terrazzo era rotta - prossima a sfasciarsi, il posacenere come l'abbiamo trovato all'arrivo aveva ancora i mozziconi dei precedenti ospiti. La cena consumata in loco (non c'erano molte alternative) è stata servita dicendo che doveva essere terminata entro le 19 (!!!) la colazione al mattino assolutamente tra le 8 e le 9 (check-out) ma è stata servita dopo più di trenta minuti di attesa. Insomma molte cose, che facilmente potrebbero essere migliorate, per rendere il prezzo più digeribile.

Wir waren absolut begeistert von der herzlichen Gastfreundschaft von Thomas und seiner Frau – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Die Lage ist perfekt: nur 3 Minuten zur Seilbahn, idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Biketouren, mit dem Downhill-Bikepark direkt nebenan. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight war der Abend unserer Ankunft: obwohl wir eigentlich zu spät waren, hat Thomas uns nicht hungrig ins Bett gehen lassen, sondern noch hervorragende Langos für uns zubereitet – das war wirklich klasse! Wer familiäre Atmosphäre und echte Gastfreundschaft schätzt, ist hier genau richtig. Vielen Dank für die unvergesslichen Tage – wir kommen sicher wieder!

Herzlicher Empfang durch die Gastgeber. Trotz unseres Eintreffen nach Küchenschluss mussten wir nicht hungrig ins Bett gehen. In familiärer Atmosphäre wurden wir bewirtet, wir kamen nach der langen Fahrt zur Ruhe und in entspannter Stimmung folgte noch kurz und unkompliziert der Check-in. Urige bewirtschaftete Berghütte mit nostalgischem Charme. Die Gastgeberfamilie lässt den Aufenthalt mit ihrem Engagement und der Natürlichkeit zu einem Erlebnis werden.

Leider nur zwei Übernachtungen gebucht zu haben!

De ervaring van het slapen in een berghut. Prachtig uitzicht, hartelijk ontvangst, drankje van het huis zeer gastvrij. In de avond heerlijk gegeten. (Zwitserse prijzen)

De bedden waren vrij hard. Alles kraakt in het huis en de badkamer zit niet op je eigen kamer. Dit is natuurlijk ook de charme van het huis.

Traumhafte Berghütte mit Herz

Fantastische Lage, gemütliches Haus, super freundliche und hilfbereite Gastgeber. Wir waren wegen Stau erst sehr spät abends da, wir wurden trotz später Stunde freundlich begrüßt und dürften nach Küchenschluss unsere mitgebrachte Pizza in der Gaststube essen. Leider haben wir dadurch das hochgepriesene Abendessen verpasst. Die Zimmer sind schöne Hüttenzimmer, sauber und gemütlich. Das Frühstück ist gut. Alles was man braucht.

Alles gut liebe Gastgeber, schönes Haus, tolle Lage, sehr Kinderlieb, super Essen

Top Lage in den Bergen. Thomas , seine Frau und Schwiegermutter, so einen Gastgeber habe ich noch nie gebhabt. Wir waren mit der Enkeltochter da, die Gastgeber gehen voll auf Kinder ein und liebten Vivien. Nochmal vielen lieben Dank Thomas ihr habt uns das Gefühl gegeben wir sind wie zuhause und wart für alle Fragen da. Auch super die zwei kleinen Hunde zum spielen für unsere Enkelin. Noch nie so eine vertraute Zweisamkeit ,mit einem Gastgeber vorgefunden, wie dort. Macht weiter so, viele liebe Grüße, von Vivien, Pia und Bernd

Es gab nichts zum verbessern. Man muss ja auch einmal die Begebenheiten auf einer Hütte über 1600 Metern bedenken.

Heerlijke locatie voor rustzoekers

Fantastische ligging, super rustig, middenin de natuur

Kamers klein en vloeren kraken enorm. Wij hadden een kamer met douche/wc, maar de andere gasten niet, die moesten op de gang douchen. Dat gaf veel geluidsoverlast, zeker in de nacht met gebruik van toilet

Top Aussichtslage auf dem Berg

Als wir nach der etwas längeren und nicht alltäglichen Bergauffahrt über ziemlich enge, jedoch asphaltierte Straßen und Serpentinen an der Berghütte ankamen, waren wir total begeistert von der Aussicht und Lage. Quasi fast ganz oben. Überall Blumenwiesen und eine hammer Aussicht. Die Gastgeberfamilie mit zwei super erzogenen Hündinnen empfing uns recht herzlich und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Das Familien-Zimmer war mit gemütlichem Alpen-Charme und kuscheligen Bettdecken ausgestattet. Ein Ehebett und ein Doppelstockbett. Zudem gab es einen Kleiderschrank und eine Eckbank mit Tisch & Stühlen sowie zwei Fenster mit wahnsinns Aussicht auf die Berge. Sehr gemütlich und urig eingerichtet. Das Abendessen war super lecker. Es waren einfache Gerichte, aber wirklich sehr lecker zubereitet und mit Herz angerichtet. Die halb überdachte Außenterasse ist absolut gemütlich. Man hat einen schönen Blick auf Berge und in die Ferne. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und fanden unsere Gastgeber sehr, sehr freundlich, kinderlieb und menschlich super.

Was gewöhnungsbedürftig war: dass man das Badezimmer nicht mit im eigenen Zimmer hat, sondern man raus auf den Flur muss, auf den auch die anderen Zimmer führen.. (Also nachts wenn man aufs Klo muss, müsste man sich ggf. erst was drüber ziehen, aufgrund möglicher Begegnung mit anderen Hotelgästen) und dann eine Treppe runter, eine kleinere Treppe wieder rauf - und dort befanden sich zwei Badezimmer. Was jedoch gut war: jeder Raum hatte sein eigenes Bad. An den Türen stand, zu welchem Zimmer welches Bad gehört. Die Badezimmer sind leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen und echt hellhörig, man hört den Hotelgast nebenan :)... die Duschen haben Duschvorhänge...Die normalen Räume waren auch sehr hellhörig, wir hatten etwas Bedenken, dass die Gäste nebenan von der Lautstärke und dem Rufen unseres spielenden kleinen Kindes ggf. gestört werden, wenn der Kleine morgens beizeiten wach wurde.. Das Parkett knarrte bei jedem Schritt, aber man muss zugutehalten: es ist auch kein Neubau sondern eine rustikale Berghütte..das sollte einem bewusst sein, wenn man so eine Hütte bucht. :) Alles in allem hat das Positive stark überwogen und wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt.

Die Lage einfach traumhaft. Die Unterkunft einfach urig, wirklich wie bei Heidi in den Bergen. Die Wirtsleute alle einfach toll und natürlich, du kommst als Fremder und gehst mit einer Umarmung (bildlich)

Meine Frau war erst schockiert weil kein Fernseher, hey sie hat es die 2 Nächte überlebt. Das Frühstück frisch und mit Liebe aber eher karg. Ein ei könnte schon wenigstens sein. Schweiz ist halt sehr teuer auch für deutsche Durchschnittsbürger.
