Mercure in Europe miles ahead of their hotels in UK. Mercure Chur among the best.

Location not ideal for city centre, but good transport links. Views from our huge room's picture windows were stunning. Staff were particularly helpful and friendly.

Roomy room with a view

Fantastic check in with friendly staff who gave us a free pass for the bus into the centre. Room was amazing - a large double plus two singles for our kids (so much more comfy than a sofa bed!) we all had the best night's sleep. Bathroom was luxurious with gorgeous toiletries and a loo with a view! Restaurant on level 2 was fantastic - we didn't have a table booked but it was no issue for the staff to set us up a table. Great sized portions of quality tasting food. Excellent value

Accommodation. The room was spotless and modern. 10 out of 10.

Poor breakfast and very limited services for a Mercure hotel. Restaurant was closed, hotel locked at 10.00pm. No other possibility of entertainment.

Clean comfortable room with view, but not walkable to central Chur

Very clean room, nice view over Chur, nice shower and they had beds ready for our kids. Bus into the old town was free and right outside.

Location is away from the charming parts of Chur, it is basically at a shopping mall, not many good walkable restaurants around. No USB charging ports in the rooms.

Fantastic views from comfy hotel room

Stunning views, and great shutters on windows. Very spacious room. Easily accessible from train station by a bus direct to door. Staff were friendly. Hotel is connected to a small shopping centre with a coop megastore.

Not a huge amount of restaurant options in the immediate vicinity, but town centre accessible by bus (or walk of approx 20 minutes).

Really great facilities. Memorable staff who were very kind and caring despite the IBIS key collecting.

Late check in for a solo traveller was problematic. Maybe a closer location than the IBIS would make the experience more safe and manageable.

Only wish we could have stayed longer

The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely view of the mountains from the 8th floor. We did not have breakfast as thought it was expensive at 25 euros per person.

This hotel provides comfortable accommodation and a spectacular view however if you are not up for long walks into town,

We were only there for one night as our plan was to get the Bernina express first thing in the morning. The accommodation is good however we didn’t realise it was a 1.5km walk into town which in all fairness was a nice stretch of the Legs given we’d been on a train all day.. The accommodation is neat and tidy and provides a very nice backdrop to the mountain ranges. YOU MUST walk into the old town and experience the Village. Two of our accompanying guests enjoyed the restaurant that evening whilst we ate in the old town and they said the meal was exceptional .

The breakfast is very basic for the Price. Ask for more pillows

Comfortable rooms but no service

The hotel is very easy to reach by car, parking is excellent; WiFi is excellent; Rooms are very comfortable. Having a shopping center attached to the hotel was helpful except for Sunday since everything is closed

The social area is limited to the tiny hotel entrance; Only one staff member at a time and service is almost inexistent. Not what you expect from a 4 star hotel

Functional but not a 4* hotel

The hotel is easy to reach by car, parking is excellent, rooms are spacious and comfortable (in spite of the electric switches that are complex and not working) and the Internet works pretty well The staff at breakfast is very nice but the meal is plain.

The only lounge area in the hotel is the entrance with 6 chairs !! The same area is used by the cleaning staff at lunch break !!! There is only one staff at the reception and quite often you find a "Will be back in a few minutes" plaque.

It was very clean and attractive, the staff were professional and welcoming, and the added touches (e.g., the large, beautiful shower and automatic window screen) provided a luxury feel.

It's in quite an industrial area away from the old town. Location was great for us but might be more difficult for others. There are really good transport links to the old town though.
