Great as the one night

Breakfast - this morning I had breakfast. It was really good and I enjoyed Dinner - I used the Pesto restaurant on site last night and the food was excellent and very good value My room - it was fine , there were a few issues, highlighted below. The bed was clean and comfortable

My room - I found one of the lights in the room was flashing so I couldn't use the main light and the hand washing bottle didn't work so I needed to take it apart to use. (I have let the hotel know). I was concerned the noisy planes going overhead would disturb my sleep but I heard nothing during the night so that was great

The fact that you have to pay extra for certain items at breakfast, all items should be included in the price. Rooms need to be modernised, and the cleaners should move items when they dust, the bedside lamp was very dusty and you could see where the cleaner had just gone round it on the top, this was on both sides of the bed.

Location for what we wanted

Bathroom was tiny. Water was slow, one morning no water came out of the tap. Cob webs in room. Breakfast was very small. Asked for the room to be cleaned and it wasn’t done in 3 days.

Not quite what the images present.

The staff were helpful and friendly.

The room (5), was far from the images on the website, a tiny ensure. I am not large but struggled to use the toilet due to the width available. The radiator seems stuck on full. I couldn't park on the car park as the spaces are taken up by the restaurant, meaning I had to find a side street to park on overnight.

In General the value for money was excellent & would definitely use them again.

Breakfast was included & was very good indeed. The whole Dining room was excellent & food was very good.

Personal experience was the room decor could have been a lighter & brighter colour & the light shade was to dark, but this was only our personal experience it could well suit others. The room in general was very good & warm & very clean. The bed & pillows were very comfortable & staff were extremely pleasant & happy.

Nice clean hotel which is ideally suited as a base for travel around Merseyside and Cheshire.

No attention to detail

Location was convenient for us

Overpowering air fresheners everywhere. Cobwebs in the room. Bathroom mirror over sink ridiculously high placement, could only see the top of our heads. Bedside lamp shades had wrong fitting size so were balanced on the body of the light and had to be completely removed every time to turn the light on or off, ended up leaving them on the floor! Breakfast service was very slow, twenty minutes to bring coffee and forty minutes to bring food.

A warm welcome from the staff and a great stay. Check in is from 2pm which is better than other hotels offer. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had lunch in the restaurant and really enjoyed it, great menu choice. Breakfast was nicely cooked too.

Little upset by accusatory remarks made by staff to our son, made in front of other guests, when fire alarm was triggered at 430 am. Alarm board indicated origin was in his room but he had NOT been smoking or having a shower.

Location was convenient. The restaurant and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

I paid for a ‘superior double’ when in actual fact it was two single beds pushed together, aside from that being uncomfortable alone the mattress were extremely firm and we couldn’t get a good night sleep. The rainfall shower didn’t work properly, kept going off and on as if other showers or water supplies were being used at the same time therefore losing pressure and the water was luke warm.
