Hotel Gounod Fully Renovated

The hotel was impeccable from start to finish. We visited at the start of our honeymoon and couldn’t find a single fault with the property. The rooms were modern and clean, the location was perfect just a few minutes walk from the sea front. The staff were all so friendly and there were lovely touches all throughout our stay, from complimentary macaroons to robes and slippers. We had the best time and would love to return in the future!

Nothing I could fault - some chairs on the balcony could be a good touch but appreciate there’s limited space!

This hotel is exceeded my expectations. The staff is doing everything possible to provide you all needed information and comfort. The room is immaculate and all the facilities are just wonderful. The hotel location it's very close to everything and you may reach everything without taking the taxi or public transport.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, from the receptionists to the breakfast crew, all were very warm and helpful. The hotel was very pretty and comfortable and really handy for the train station without being too close.

There was a huge glass coffee table in my room, very low with sharp edges. I knew as soon as I saw it, it would hurt me at some point. Even though I pushed it as far back as I could, I managed to walk into it in the night. I still have the scars to prove it! Even when I hung the dressing gown over the edge, when I opened and closed the curtains, it managed to bite me on the ankles. The bath was lovely (fantastic shower) but a bit long for me, could have done with a rubber mat to stop slipping. My room was at the back centre of the hotel so no view but quiet (apart from people slamming doors 🙄)
