Disappointed

We were sorry to find a pool that is described as „heated“ but actually the water was very very cold, also no furniture around as to sit or lay down for a moment, especially with children. The water was far below 26-29C. We were very disappointed with this issue because we decided to choose this hotel in Salzburg mainly because of the pool as a plus but it appeared to be a minus. Really sorry to come and be your guests.

They acted promptly and positively in resolving an issue with our room right after check-in. We truly appreciate how professionally and efficiently they handled our concern. Their excellent service made a big difference in our stay. 🍸 Special mention to Lampros at the bar — he was outstanding! Friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. He definitely added to our overall great experience. 🚆 Being close to the main station made it extremely convenient to catch trains and access public transportation within Austria and even to neighboring countries. 🚌 Whether traveling around Salzburg or heading beyond the city, everything was accessible and stress-free. ✨ Overall, our stay was absolutely worth it. The combination of comfort, accessibility, and connectivity makes this hotel a perfect choice for travelers who value convenience. We would definitely stay here again!

One downside during our stay at the Wyndham Grand Salzburg Conference Centre was that the property does not offer complimentary luggage storage after check-out. Instead, they provide paid luggage lockers located in the basement. 💶 Locker rates for a large suitcase are: • €3 for 1 hour • €5.50 for 6 hours • €8 for 12 hours • €11 for 24 hours While the lockers are convenient and secure, it would have been more guest-friendly if short-term storage after check-out were offered free of charge.

The hotel is well located, staff is very polite and attentive. Rooms are clean and confortable. We did not have breakfast at the location and did not get to use the spa facilities.

Would be fine, but when it's bitterly cold in your room nothing is acceptable.

There was no effective heating in our room. The walls and the floor were absolutely cold and the air-conditioning ventitlator only blew lukewarm air.

Only the staff. They were very nice, friendly and helpful.

Everything in this hotel is broken, the rooms are cold, the food is terrible specially in the restaurant. Nothing is clean. Very disappointed for paying this much for a very bad experience

Not a family-friendly hotel/ staff.

The hotel facilities, and the rooms were good & well-kept.

I stayed with my wife & 2 kids. I didn't find the hotel staff family friendly, probably as it's more focused on servicing business groups/ conferences. Asked to microwave (30 seconds) the food for my son, and I was turned down by the kitchen staff, asked to come back after 90 minutes. I spoke to the hotel manager, and he never responded back. Tried to get some help for the city tours, and in the end, got nothing. As the person at the reception was new to the city and didn't know much about it. Though he was very welcoming with the conversation. Wouldn't stay at the facility again.

Great stay and easy transit for train station!

Close to train station for easy transit. Comfortable, clean and the restaurant for dinner was lovely. 12pm checkout was a huge bonus and value for money seeing as though we stayed one night it gave us a chance to check out kapitolpkatz the morning of checkout

It didn’t bother us because we stayed one night and were transiting to the train station which was extremely close. If you were on extended stay it is a little far away from attractions, but we just got an uber to and from.

Convenient to travel around.

Location was the main plus point of this hotel. As indicated and published, it’s within 3min walk to the main train station and to the trams which took us to places with the mobility card that the hotel provides for guests. So free transportation!

The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable . To get a free drink, (one only despite having 2 guests), when we did not request for a day of cleaning. Thought it should be 2. The bartender was not very friendly though hence we asked for housekeeping the next day instead of another free drink.

Location of hotel can't be faulted. It was clean and room was well-designed and spacious.

We booked a comfort room for our stay but were upgraded to an executive room - a HUGE bonus! I was absolutely delighted with the room - clean, spacious and well-designed. After staying at some very tight hotel rooms in the earlier part of our trip, this was such a balm to the eyes, body and soul. Location of hotel was less than 5min walk to Salzburg Hbf, with public transport exchange right in front of the station. Plenty of food places around the train station area/square.

The "shower door" at the bathtub was a little too small so water did splash out onto the bathroom floor when one was in the shower. Wasn't sure whether the complimentary water bottles in the fridge were for the duration of our stay as we got them on arrival day and then on the following day (but we stayed at the hotel for a total of 4 days). Should have checked with reception but forgot - that was our fault.

Two nights in Salzburg

The hotel is near the railway station and the tram stop. We were given a travel pass to use on the trams. The area felt safe. We used the tram to travel to the historic centre, it was about a 20 minute walk back. Good coffee making and water available in room. Quiet at weekend.

Breakfast was expensive. We were woken by work on the neighbouring building site on Monday morning.

The staffs were incredible

The location, it is only 5 minutes walking from the centrai train station. Lot of possibilities to eat around the hotel. Walking distance to city centre. And exceptional was the staffs at the reception. I forgot his name, but he was so patiently letting me choose the best room to my liking. Cause I want to have a quiet room with a walking shower.

The room was not so clean. The water kettle was so dusty, I need to clean it first before using. Although I did use the swimming pool on the first day, but the water temperature was little but cold. I couldn’t use it in the morning.

Very pleasant stay in a lovely hotel.

Very comfortable room, excellent location. Room service food was lovely, although the portions were a bit too large for me.

Due to large tourist groups staying at the hotel, breakfast was very busy at 6.45am with very little food left already.

I would probably not recommend.

Upon arrival in our room, my family and I noticed a very strong stench of urine in the restroom. After observing the room a little more, we found trash under one of the beds and crumbs on the carpet. We notified the front desk staff and they changed the room for us, but weren’t able to accommodate all of us in one room. I was grateful for the help of the front desk staff. However, the value is not there in regards to the stay.

Reasonable stay.

Location is great, walking distance from train station. Check in was easy, receptionist was very nice. We had a free city transportation pass for our stay period which was great.

The access card for the elevator & room door is not good. There was no slippers at the room, they provided upon request. Water bottles were not supplied every day, we have to request. The telephone hand-set is not working. I did not feel I’m in a 5- star hotel.

Needs improvement in service

The size of the room and beds

There was dust and dirt in the room. When it was also tidied, even the used cups or tea bag paper covers were not cleaned. Also the room supplies were not replenished (like tea or coffee) The tray where the glasses were placed was full of dust. Also the side tables were full of dust. We stayed in room 430. Other issue was the bus passes were not handed over when we checked in and i requested it seperately and they were not ready, i had to wait for an half an hour for them to be registered. There was very long queueu at the check in as they accomodate large groups but only 1 or 2 people at reservation desk is not enough.

Beautiful Salzburg

Good location for the train station, but a good 25 -30 minutes walk to the old part of Salzburg. The staff were friendly and helpful. The barman was very friendly and funny. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Loved Salzburg and all it had to offer.

Large construction project right next door, which was actually not too noisy, but no view for us. Worst part was very noisy guests returning st 3am, yelling down the hallway. Quite expensive.

Relaxing in a lovely hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

The wonderful staff. We were met with a warm welcome and once checked in we went to the bar for a drink and the two gentlemen serving were so welcoming and friendly. Food was very good and both the room and bathroom were very spacious and spotless clean.

Good location for the train station but a hotel that did not meet expectations.

Breakfast is okay. Location is okay if you want connections to train station or bus, but not the best location for things like the old town or touristy areas. The gym is good.

The bed was uncomfortable. The shower was poor. The location is not in the most pleasant area - I would avoid the train station area in the future. The cleaners did not clean the room very well.

Considering the brand and the price we paid for the hotel, it was a let down.

The property is at a good location. Close to the train station and walkable distance from the city centre.

The housekeeping of the property was very disappointing. We booked 3 night stay and on none of the days they would clear our clear out the trash or the used cups and replace them with clean ones. Though they would make the bed and change the towel, the room still felt unkept with dust on the furniture and used glasses around. Even after reporting at the front desk, nothing changed.

Good hotel in Salzburg.

Staff was very friendly. Room was big, clean and comfortable for a family with a small child. Parking was in the same building, safe and 16euro for 24h. Location was good, 6min walk from central station and bus station, 18min walk from Mirabell. I would recommend it for sure for a short visit in Salzburg.

Swimming pool water was cold. Tv was smart but without internet or youtube app. Slippers were missing in room and in swimming pool area.

Pleasant stay

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We liked the big room with plenty of space. The fridge & kettle are included. Staff were pleasant.

The A/C was difficult to use. We set the room temperature at 18dgs but it resulted in the temperature being 25dgs. We couldn't open windows as there was street noise. There is an energy fee of 2.50EU p.p per night. This is extra to the overall price. Breakfast is 24EU per person. We were overcharged by 26EU, but this was refunded after we pointed this out to them at reception. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We would return.
