Perfect for what we needed

Very bad experience

The rooms are nice and so the spa

We had booked a double delux room, but was given a standard room (price didn’t change). At the check-in they where not in control of there own registration and had to verify by seeing my confirmation. We had booked a room with new years even dinner included and it was one of my worst experiences. The evening started at 18.30 where we got a glass of Prosecco and first 1.5 hour later the first course was served. The time in between was not balanced. At such an evening I would expected something extra ordinary, but words cannot describe the dinner they served. I wouldn’t have eaten there any ordinary evening if this was the standard. This one night costed 560eur for two people and was absolutely not worth it. I will never return Martin Olsen

Nice spot in the twin centre, ideal base for hiking

Property was in the middle of the town, close drive to the start of the cable car and hiking trails that lead to the Seebensee and Drackensee. Good parking onsite off the main road. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was nice and big, with a large shower and big comfortable bed, as well as a balcony. Buffet breakfast is very nice with lots of choice and fresh juices. Finally, there was a nice little spa area with some Finnish saunas and a relaxation room with comfy water beds! We were also told we could rent bikes for free which was nice, although we didn’t use them.

We stayed two nights and the first night we ate in the restaurant. The staff were nice and food itself was good but it took an age to come.

Magnificent vieuws over the mountains.

The reception desk, the staff was very friendly.

It left me an impression that cost saving was ongoing. Variety in food could increase. Rooms were not daily re-visited to see if new towels were needed. One should not necessarily clean the room every day, but one could enter to see if anything is needed. Traffic in front of the hotel.

Nice place to stay in Ehrwald

The room was modern, the location in the middle of Ehrwald was perfect.

Despite the great location, we will not be coming back. Too overpriced for what they offer.

Location was great. Room itself was fantastic. Great view.

Sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable than the bed. Both my wife and I had severe pain each morning from the horrible mattress. Skip the hotel restaurant. Way too expensive for poor quality food. My wife ordered the steak filet and they brought out a cheaper quality steak despite what the menu stated. The butter for the steak was frozen and the potatoes were of poor quality and taste. The food I ordered was bland at best. I had the “roast beef” with lackluster potatoes.

The room was less comfortable — the bed and pillows were not comfortable , there was no proper cooling or ventilation, and it stayed too warm at night even with the windows open. The bathroom was cramped with no space for toiletries or hooks for towels or clothes, and the room lacked basic amenities like a water kettle, coffee, or extra toiletries beyond handwash.”

Amazing Alpine view. On site restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Centrally located in town. Lovely balcony off the room.

Very nice rooms and a great restaurant

Rooms were quite new and looked amazing. We had a great view of the mountains. Dinner was also amazing. I have a lactose intolerance and the staff made sure I get some alternatives. Wellness area is also clean and spacious.

Not much to complain. Maybe it was a little bit pricey but it was Easter so I guess the room prices are higher than normal.

I was really disappointed about simply everything. As a little boy I've stayed there with my parents, for many years and about 25 years ago, I've stayed there with my wife and 2 daughters. The hotel needed some refreshments. Some has been done, others not. It;s a missed opportunity to upgrade overall the hotel.

Very nice room., comfy bed and marvelous views from our balcony.. Room is very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. Ehrwald is perfect located to explore the Zugspitze and the Ehrwalder Alm.

Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed the first 2 days of our visit. Due to the limited amount off restaurants in village you have to book a table in advance if you want a meal at your preferred/chosen restaurant. Limited amount of places in the village to have a drink in the evening.

A first hotel we visited twice

An outstanding mountain valley view from the room. Please notice - not all rooms have it - only those with balconies. Ask for upgrade on the desk. Excellent SPA. Breakfast is also nice.

The room we booked on a site- we didn't like - it was too small with two little windows. Luckily it was solved. It may be not easy to book a dinner also because is a public restaurant. May be half-board could be an option to keep your table booked.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is partly being renovated, but it caused no nuisance. Very comfortable rooms with spectacular views. Very easy to accommodate our bicycles (which we are travelling on).

Breakfast and diner were fine, the wellness is absolutely fabulous. Staff could be more alert, everybody very friendly but not to quick with serving drinks etc.

We had a room on the front, the traffic noise (something the hotel can not avoid) was annoying. The snowshovel started at 5.45, so we had an early start..... If possible ask for a room on the back of the hotel

- SPA areas is very nice and a key value point - Strategic position in the center of the village, close to everything needed - Structure beauty in traditional wooden decoration, interiors furnishing, room space and view on the mountains - Kindness and service of the restaurant staff - Wine selection was good

- Information of the hotel facilities and other attractions of the area + general level of service and kindness at the reception was not as a 4 starts should offer - A bit more knowledge of English would help to attract international clients - The restaurant service and food proposals at breakfast and dinner were not at the level of a renowed boutique hotel in my opinion (no homemade cakes and sweats and / or product of the Tyrol area for breakfast + confused menu with improbable "ravioli" and "saltimbocca" for dinner)

Enjoyable stay

The property is located in the center of Ehrwald which makes it very easy to walk through the village. We also enjoyed the wellness facilities very much.

The pillows were a bit too soft and flat for my taste. I would prefer a second pillow or a higher one.

The price and the food in the restaurant. We ordered a 4 course dinner and only godt 3 courses, the staff forgot nr 4 ... very poor service in the restaurant. The service were ok when they recommended the 4 course dinner earlier in the day, but not later when we got it.

Very comfortable and amazing wellness

Wellness area was fabulous. Overall very nice hotel with natural materials. Breakfast was very good.

At times the roadside can be a bit noisy, but quiet at night; so not a big issue
