Lovely Garmische Hotel

Great location when taking the train to explore the area

- the location a few steps from the train station was great - the staff was nice and helpful - great storage for skiing equipment - good breakfast - great waterpressure in the shower - we really enjoyed our week long stay at the hotel

Perfect hotel in the perfect alpine town

The location is just perfect. Super close to the train station (in fron of it actually) and 5 minutes walk to the train leaving to the Zugspitze and the other stops. Downtown is an easy 10 minutes walk. The breakfast was decent and the staff there and at the reception was super kind. A lady welcomed me and gave me a bunch of information. Everybody was always smiling! The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the heater was good, and even though the hotel was full, I heard no noise whatsoever. Perfect hotel!

Not a big thing but the showe space is a bit all or thight, but that did not bother me much to be honest.

Cosy and comfortable stay.

Breakfast was amazing & great selection even for vegetarians. The staff was on hand & super attentive to make sure everything ok & that the food was refilled. I had an amazing view of the mountains.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room and some snacks in the vending machine.

Everything was OK

A fairly large hotel that comfortably met the accommodation needs of two people. Since it was off-season, the place was quite empty. The breakfast hall was enormous, and it felt a bit funny that in such a huge space there were only a couple of other people besides the two of us. No doubt it’s bustling during peak season. The breakfast was very tasty and varied, and the staff were friendly.

5 night stay in Garmisch.

Perfect for those travelling by trains/coaches as the hotel is just across the bus/train station. Having said that, no issues with sound pollution related to them. The hotel was always clean. B'fast could improve, however there was a selection. Those with food intolerances are better to contact the hotel. The lady who was attending to guests during b'fast still tried to communicate with us despite her minimum English language. A local transport ticket was given to me to use during my stay.

I did not meet an official receptionist. The lady who was attending to us during b'fast was being a receptionist aswell as she did my check-in!! No small fridge available in the room, neither a kettle (with tea/coffee/bottled water available). International TV channels could be provided. For clients with special needs (although I am not), the shower has a step and is quite narrow to accommodate appropriately.

Great location right next to train station and bus services. Friendly staff. Room was comfortable and clean. Gorgeous mountain views. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choices.

The hotel restaurant was closed for dinner on Sunday and Monday nights. Not many choices nearby other than takeaway, if I’d known in advance I would have changed my Germany holiday around. Many German restaurants and cafes are closed on Sundays, in Garmisch/Partenkirchen it seems to be Monday also.

Germany trip.

The room was great, with mountain views. Room was always clean. Breakfast was good.

The restaurant area had 100% always only American music. I wanted to hear authentic German music. Room Cleaning is at 08AM already with staff knocking on door and asking, waking me up. In every other hotel cleaning always started at 10. The bathroom had cold ventilation, so after a warm shower, the air is ice-cold and it's easy to get sick. The reception gave incorrect bus directions.

The hotel has a convenient location next to the railway station. The breakfast was good. You’ll get a complimentary pass to use the local transportation, discount from museum tickets etc. Also possibility to use a fitness center facilities nearby. I really appreciated these extras. Would definitely visit again!

We don't like the surprise that we have to pay extra money for free city bus, which should be disclosed when booking, not at the time of check out. The food was much less value than we expected.

Room w a fantastic view from my balcony.

Wonderful stay. The room was beautiful with a fun view of the plaza, mountains and forests. I loved the old-world ambiance joined with the modern room and furnishings. The location was an easy walk to a wonderful area of shops and restaurants.

Exceptional

Location of the hotel is excellent, right next to a train station. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. It was a loft room (you had to watch for your head at certain parts of it) but it was of good size and even the bathroom had a window with the view of nearby mountains, I was really pleasantly surprised by that detail. Breakfast was good, not such a big selection but there were some nice options.

I found it quite problematic that restaurant closes for dinner that early. After 6pm its either limited offer or its fully closed (on Sunday).
