Great with one minus

It has become so nice after renovation - large rooms - kind staff - placed in the middle of everything

That the elevator ends one store before the breakfast room. So disabled guests, as me, have to climb up the last 20 steps, and my husband has to carry the h avu wheelchair.

convenient in every way, but also noisy

The room was newly renovated and practicably furnished. The large bed was before the room-long window with a look in the harbor direction. From 7th floor this offered some kind of a view.

Noise carries awfully well in that house. There are large slits beneath the entry doors, but there is no other door to insulate the bedroom against noise. So, I could hear every word of my room neighbors who talked with normal voices. One night someone was playing music till 1 am in another floor ...

Comfortable bed (we had a room in the renovated part) and the room was quite big. Good quality hair dryer.

There was no air conditioning. The room was very stuffy. There was no kettle or basic necessities like coffee, tea, or glasses. No Netflix. Everything around the hotel is dug up, access is difficult.

Great central location

There were workmen banging in the next room at 7am. There was a black shadow in the corner through the night and there was absolutely no air conditioning or a fan in a stifling hot room.

Bargain in Kiel City centre

Location, friendly, helpful staff (helped me a lot with another biz problem), especially thanks to the smiley lady from the breakfast lounge for saving my morning with a good coffee!

It's a bit outdated, but very clean. Only 1 thing - mattress in my room so soft, not good for my shoulder.

In centre of the city

The room is old, shower broken, so all kind of stuff flowed over my feet from the sink. Soap not filled, washingtable broken, very indifferent staff. Parkingspace offered next door had a different name then they wrote me, but I couldn’t reach them on the phone to check this. Had to pay extra because of this.

Pleasant

The breakfast was good, and the hotel's location was perfect: close to the train station and the city center. Nearby there is a supermarket and some shops/cafes. Nice view from the window.

When I arrived, the room was not cleaned, so I had to wait. There was some mold in the shower, and, in general, the furniture was old and shabby. The cleaners were very loud in the morning, so it was hard to sleep well - a do not disturb sign would be helpful.

Nice location close to the railway station and town facilities and not far from the ferries. Comfortable single room with a view

The shower was surprisingly small with a clingy plastic curtain. Odd because there was plenty of room in the bathroom to extend it.

Great location, simple, but inexpensive

The hotel is perfectly located right in the center close to the central train station and the Sophienhof shopping mall, right on the pedestrian shopping street and a stone throw from the Wunderino Arena, which was the purpose of my stay, as I was attending a concert there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent with a great view of the city. There was free coffee in the lobby and a large, complementary bottle of sparkling water in the room.

The hotel is a little worn around the edges and the room was small, but everything worked, as it should. Especially considering the price of the hotel room, this is good value for your money.

Pleasant

The location is excellent. It is close to the train station and the port, if you are to catch a ferry or cruise from Kiel. A very nice breakfast. Good for a one night stay if you are moving on from Kiel.

The hotel is quite old. There was a terrible smell of smoke in the corridor and in the room. The rooms are not very sound proof and it is quite loud when people close their doors.

Location

Dirty. Run down - cracks/damaged cupboards, broken shelves, mould in shower, dried toothpaste at bottom of glasses in bathroom. No parking on site as stated. Rooms were not soundproof. Reception did not pick up the phone on multiple occasions.
