Perfect stay in Strasbourg

Great location, spotless clean, great staff, good breakfast, just across from public transport and also train station.

This is not a 4 star hotel!

I needed a location near the train station, so in that sense it was good.

The room was clean but old fashioned. It needs updates. Not enough outlets for charging devices. The carpets and furniture outdated. The bathroom had a tub, ok, but the WC was old and needs replacement. The lighting in the bathroom was poor. No makeup mirror. No kits with toiletries etc. no minibar. No free bottles of water in the room. For EUR 420 a night without breakfast, I think there should be much more offered.

Good location but overpriced.

The only thing I truly liked about the hotel was the location, which was across the street from the train station. The hotel staff were pretty nice too. They left a bag of cookies for you upon arrival, which was nice and left a large bottle of water, which I would refill each evening downstairs. The breakfast buffet had good variety, but the staff wasn't very attentive, and they seemed to talk to each other more than they were paying attention to what foods needed replenishing.

The room looked like it had been refurbished quite a long time ago. The toilet was cracked. The towels were pretty old and tired and so was the bathrobe. The room needed to be repainted and the bathroom door jam was chipped. There were no complimentary toiletries, which is odd for the price we were paying.

Very poor value, good location.

The location was excellent for rail travellers, and the breakfast was good too - tasty and plenty of choice

It is not a 4-star - far from it. Tired and worn decor, and very poor facilities. A few cardboard cups and cheap coffee sachets does not scream 4-star to me. It would have been fine for a budget stay for €200 less

Couldn’t check in until 4pm which was very inconvenient. Check in time is advertised as 3pm!

Very disappointed .

Good location. Didn't have breakfast.

I checked in at 15.35 and my room wasn't ready. I wanted a shower and to get changed before going out for the evening. I was told I could get changed in the public toilet near the bar. I waited until 16.05 but it still wasn't ready. I finally checked in at 1.05. I thought this was appalling!

Great location, big rooms, comfy bed.

The room was a good size, the bed clean crisp sheets & comfy, very handy to Gare Centrale

Unfortunately we were put in a room which had a cracked toilet bowl, when I told the reception the lady didn’t want to know, the hotel wasn’t full so didn’t need to use that room. Chipped paint around the doors. Some of the reception staff were arrogant.

Good location, but the hotel is not very charming.

The location is great - being close to the central station has its perks, and we could easily walk to our hotel from the city center. There were several easy train connections.

The hostel looks quite old - given that it is a Mercure hotel, I expected it to be a bit more fancy and well taken care of. The hotel felt like it did not age well.

The stay was fine we was only there for one night.

We only stayed for one night the hotel needed updating but we was advised this is in the pipeline. Our overall stay was fine the breakfast was very good and we had a good night sleep. The room was very small but very clean.

A great short stay.

A great location, large clean rooms.

We were put on the smoking floor, with no correspondence or warning . two out of our four rooms smelt like cigarettes. no refrigerator in rooms.

An OK stay but overpriced for what you get.

Lobby of the hotel is very beautiful. The location of the hotel is good, beung so close to the train station as well as walking distance from the city center. The room we had has a balcony, which has some good views.

The room is outdated and can use an upgrade. If you have a room on the station side, be sure to bring earplugs, as it can get quite noisy. The beds are not very comfortable. I often sleep on my side, which starts to hurt after a few hours. Bathroom didn't come with a toilet brush, which seems very odd.

Fabulous location and outstanding breakfast

Excellent location and breakfast was brilliant. Very friendly staff and clean.

L'accueil froid, les chambres ne sont pas propres, toilettes cassées, pas de 3 papiers dans la boîte pour se sécher les mains, l' odeur dans les couloirs et la chambre, tôt le matin des gros travaux juste à côté,c'est vieillot... Le prix pour toute c'est raison énoncer au dessus
