Amazing stay with amazing staff and gorgeous location

The staff were amazing , especially Raff… nothing was too much bother . The location is sensational, with a 2 minute walk to Pisa tower , and easy access to bus route to station and beyond . I can’t wait to return

Great hotel in a peaceful location, but still very handy for the Tower and all other attractions.

We had to book this hotel literally standing in the middle of Pisa because we had been badly let down by another hotel. We had a lovely room, with a view of the Baptistry dome, and it was only a couple of hundred metres from the leaning tower. The hotel was clean, quiet and completely free from mosquitoes. The room temperature was nice and constant, with fully functional air-conditioning and heating. The hotel has a lovely terrace on the roof, which was peaceful. There was 24 hour reception, and the Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It is in a great location, with accessible food, cafes and restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay there again!

Bad hotel.

Proximity to tower of pisa

False advertising of hotel, overall the terrace area. I have taken photos to show how it really is. Run down with broken furniture and dirty. Had to ask for another room after first night, and had to wait hours before I could enter it, etc ,etc etc.

Creepy staff (evening shift), close to Pisa, don’t walk around on your own

The view?

I’m surprised I’ve been chased for a review, considering how poor this hotel was. Look, you get what you pay for, I weren’t expecting a 5-star hotel, but I also weren’t expecting a creep to work reception. The WiFi doesn’t work on the top floor. I had to go down and ask the receptionist to help. The only thing he helped improve was my radar for weird men. He asked me if I’m alone and not with my boyfriend, proceeded to tell me he wants me as his girlfriend and evidentially had no knowledge on how to fix the WiFi. He booked us a con taxi who dropped us into the middle of nowhere. CREEP. Also heard strange noises outside my room in the middle of the night. Don’t walk around on your own.

Could be better

It was cleanish, and the bed was comfortable.

The building inside and out is very tired looking, bedroom was very small and the fridge barely kept anything cold. The garden shown in the picture does not exist.

My stay at the hotel was good.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The staff I met on duty, I can’t remember his name was very helpful, then Sule worked overnight and really helped me in the morning and when checking out. Sule is an angel. I will give them 8/10

Perfect location, quick checkin. Stored luggage for few hours after checkout. Basic but clean.

For us the 3 main things were the air conditioning and location and storage of luggage. And all were very good. The hotel is basic but very clean. The WiFi and location are both excellent. It's right beside the entrance to the Square of Leaning Tower. And although it's next door to McDonalds, there is NO NOISE at all. The checkin and check out was quick and efficient. The hotel staff held onto our luggage for the day, after check out while we toured the city and we collected it afterwards. Perfect!

The breakfast was a voucher for a coffee and croissant next door in a cafe. Other than that it was good value for money as the location is perfect.

Location, next to Piazza dei Miracoli, is the only value of this place

Very little space in the room, no window (only one in the ceiling), air conditioning broken, general conditions very poor. No garden at all, in spite of the hotel's name. Terrace is nothing similar to photographs 1,6,8,9,11,12: the artificial grass of the pictures is absent, and the pavement is broken everywhere (see my photos); so are some of the marble table tops (photo); vents apparently from the building's sewers are open next to the tables (photo). Bar was not operated.

Terrible experience. Walked out after 10 minutes. Don't ruin your holiday by booking to stay here. Location is great but unfortunately that's the only good thing. Paid nearly £400 for 4 nights. Its not a 3 star its a 1 star hotel that's dirty, falling apart and with rude staff who when we spoke to them about the dirty bad smell that gets stuckin your throat, stains on sheets, broken door handles, mould and dirt in shower room head boards peeling and flaked all over the pillows, bed sinking to the floor, shutter lock broken.... the list went on. They didn't care, its in un habitable condition. We asked for a full refund as we would need to find somewhere else to stay but they just laughed and said no then ushered us out the entrance then closed the door behind us. We booked with booking.com and have tried to resolve this but no joy. They needed to talk to the hotel to confirm what we have said and didn't end up staying but the hotel has refused to talk to booking.com and has hung up on them everytime they call. Everything was terrible. Don't ruin your holiday by booking here. The pictures on the site are old and don't show how it is today

The room was just not up to any standard. Dangerous: light plugs within wet areas and the shower box. All finishes were scrapping off. Unpracticable room, could not walk around.

Dangerous and disgusting room

Just meters from perimeter wall of Piazza dei Miracoli. The Battistero could actually be seen from the internal terrace.

Disappointing at all levels. No sound insulation whatsoever from internal hotel distribution corridor. No sound insulation whatsoever from adjoining rooms. No sound insulation whatsoever from outside street activity and morning waste collection etc. No working air conditioning. Could not operate windows shutter. All finishes scrapping off. Dust all around. Not able to walk around the room, as bed to wall distance was no more than 200mm. Lacking in cleaningness. Dangerous electrical solutions as Electrical plughs within shower box and hairdryier plug unplugged to main mirroe and washbasin.

It is definitely a hostel not a hotel. Just near the Tower complex. They offered a complementary breakfast, like a cold/ hot drink & a puff pastry, but in 2 of the 3 mornings, the confectionery near the hotel was closed. Only African staff at the reception, very kind ppl. I CI after midnight with a receptionist that was wearing a cap with Marij...ana and I'm convinced that wasn t randomly:)) They came to clean the room every day. Unexpected, the towels were very white and clean. They have a terace as well.

The room has only a skylight and is very dark. The light bulb must always be kept on. The good part is that you wake up with pigeons at window:)). Narrow space, many dirty spots around the room because need a bit of refurbishment.

Exceptional

I have checked in on 31 december 2022 and checked out on 3 january 2023. The most amazing thing is that the Hotel Il Giardino it’s like 20 meters away from the Pisa Duomo (Pisa tour, Baptistery, etc) The second good thing is that you have a lot of restaurants literally attached to the Hotel (McDonalds and Posto - a local authentic italian brasserie) and a lot of stalls where they are selling souvenirs. The old city center its like 5 minutes away by foot where you have a lot of restaurants with AMAZING ITALIAN FOOD! The third amazing thing is that you have a bus station literally over the street, you just have to go outside the hotel and just cross the street on the other side. The staff was absolutely amazing and very friendly :) By the way, at the first floor you have a very nice terrace where you can stay and relax having a little brunch.

The most unpleasant thing was that I had the toilet and the shower in the same room together and the bed for the single room which was very little for a tall man like me (i am 200 centimeters tall) so it was a little hard for me to sleep in it but overall was nice. if younare a very very sensitive person you will hear many noises but for me everything was ok. I can’t say that noises disturbed in a bad way my staying :)

In a good location to the leaning tower, not good location to all the noise from the market outside the hotel.

Located beside a market which plays music at a very loud volume between the hours of 7am and 11pm. And you will be woken up by scraping metal chairs and people shouting anytime after 3am - BRING EARPLUGS. the only reason we were able to get a decent sleep was after we bought earplugs at a local shop. you get what you pay for really. Room was very average, on the small side although paid more for a larger room and bed. You have just enough room to walk around the bed. Behind the bed (was around a 10inch gap between the bed and the wall) was a very thick layer of dust and wrappers. The bathroom was also average (maybe less so). The shower was a little mouldy and cannot regulate its temperature. The hairdryer provided was useless. No bath matt was provided so you have to be very careful walking over the tiles. Dont think the cleaners really cleaned anything other than making the bed. Even then, the bed sheets we were given had dark brown stains on them. Would highly recommend you pay a little extra to stay elsewhere.

The staff are very friendly. The location is superb, 2min walking to the Tower of Pisa, that has many restaurants around. Easy coming and go. Nothing to complain. Simple hotel but all in all I totally recommend.

Location is absolutely phenomenal. We loved easy access to most touristic points of Pisa. Staff is friendly and hotel is generally well managed. Cool patio available : )

Rooms could use a better cleaning maintenance. If rooms and bathrooms would be kept a bit cleaner - hotel would be nearly perfect.
