Dinner was lovely. The dinner finishes early at 8.30. Breakfast was lovely but served on the bar which is a bit strange.

Not a relaxing stay at all!

The breakfast.

01/08/25 - on arrival we explicitly requested a room away from any party/wedding and for a quiet room. Our room was directly onto the back of the wedding venue smoking area. 1am to 1:45am, alarm went off three times. No apology just Abruptly said 'False alarm don't worry about it' and walked through the door to have it thrown closed in our face by an employee bearing in mind we were in bed for 10:30pm. Spoke to reception in the morning to be told ' he probably had other things on his mind'... And the wedding had a smoke machine thus causing the alarms'. Wedding had loud music until 2am and people screaming constantly in smoking area (right into our room window) Alot of disturbance/noise outside the room in corridor with people knocking doors and running away/ arguing. Went for a swim the next morning to relax and was not informed that there was a swimming class using the pool as well🙈 For breakfast was put into the bar area but food was good. Overall very poor experience and especially with the price the room was dated, bathroom door wouldn't close and shower pressure was a joke and facilities did not meet the price or expectations. We understand weddings happen but to request a room away from the wedding and told it was, but wasn't would have solved this problem and we get that swimming classes happen but not to be informed or advised to come back a different time. Simple measures would have prevented the problems.

location perfect on the outskirts of the town of Monaghan for pleasant walks, staff were very attentive of customers needs and worked well as a team, food was a good selection of choice and rooms were comfortable and adequate was a fantastic large TV.

Only a two night stay so did not have time to sample the leisure centre but a lot of people were using it.

The breakfast was very poor. Lack of selection and quality. Reception was poor. They couldn't find our booking on check in. The place had a stale smell about it and needed a total upgrade.

Unfortunately we were placed in a room with a generator right outside the window. We called down about this at 9pm and were promised it would be off by 11pm. I came to the room at 1am and it still was unbearable. It was inconvenient having to move rooms at such a late hour whilst trying to go back and enjoy a wedding. However staff member was very very pleasant and moved our room straight away and was very apologetic. Changing rooms at the leisure centre are very run down here and showers were awful. Staff member walked into our room, unlocked door without knocking whilst I was standing changing - it was two hours before check out.

Great Hotel !!

Lovely decor in the whole hotel. Hallways light and wide and welcoming. Nicely furnished. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bedroom was a nice size, perfect for our stay. Loved the bar area. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Loads of parking outside. A short distance from the town centre. Conveniently located for all major roads. A very pleasant hotel for a stay.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable rooms. We were attending a wedding at a nearby venue but enjoyed a very tasty lunch at the Four Season. Breakfast buffet was also really good. We enjoyed our short stay.

Only hotel where you couldn’t get a sandwich after 8 pm kitchen closed. Easter Sunday night. Staff in dining room not pleasant except for their Supervisor very friendly. Only hotel in Ireland leisure centre only open at 9.15 at weekends and bankholiday. Couldn’t get swim before Breakfast

The property is generally very nice, well kept grounds, nice decor. The room & bathroom were generally clean and presentable.

The bed was very lumpy, mattress needs replacing. Thick dust under the bed, not been hoovered for a really long time. Although the room was nice and in good shape, the bed and pillows weren’t great. Water in the room would d as lap have been a bonus.

Kept up all night by people partying running and screaming all over hotel got very little sleep and had our door wacked through out the night was very annoyed as me and the other have paid big money and was not worth it.
