Lovely hotel, excellent staff and very good dinner

The dinner in the bar was really excellent - I had the lemon chicken with orzo and honey roasted veg on the side. The staff were so nice and attentive - always especially welcome if you're travelling on your own for work.

I was in a room at the front of the hotel - at my request. The bright hotel outdoor light made came through the curtains and made the room a bit too bright. Curtains didn't close all the way. Also the hairdryer was screwed into the desk drawer near the window and no mirror anywhere near. So I had to dry a bit of my hair and then walk around and find a mirror and then walk back and forth several times - very weird place to have a hairdryer!

Centrally located hotel- Home away from home

Location was fantastic as was the reception staff.

Breakfast staff could do with a bit more training - making sure there was enough glasses , bowls, etc. Tables were clean and set up for guests.but breakdast was delicious

The location, staff and food was brilliant

It’s been a while since I stayed here and I just thought that hotel itself has become very dated, we stayed in room 205 which could seriously be doing with a makeover, torn wallpaper isn’t a great look and the carpet on the floor just looks like it needs replacing, I think there was only one double socket and a single socket for your use with no usb charge points anywhere, when the toilet was flushed it made a noise that could only be likened to a trombone but that was only the start of the issue with the toilet, it then began backing up on the morning of check out which I did inform the receptionist, so not being able to use the toilet in your own room and relying on using the public toilet in the bar area was very disappointing, but I’m guessing we were not the only room to have this issue as from about 6 in the morning onwards you could literally hear other rooms flushing their toilets with same irritating noise so not exactly a restful nights sleep was had.

Rooms are small, dated, no chair & table, no fridge, no USB ports, poor quality hairdryer. Small TV. Our room was cold. No heat on even though it was a wet cold evening. I did ask at reception & I was told heat would go on. No parking available on our arrival.

Motorcycle tour of Northern Ireland and bounder Counties

Good sized room, which was clean and comfortable apart from it being rather warm. Facilities downstairs were good with polite and attentive staff. Secure parking to the rear. Nice powerful shower, too. Town Centre is a bit limited for places to eat, but we did find an Indian Restaurant within a 10 min walk on the edge of town that was pretty good.

I had a room facing the main square and was within metres of a large pub. The music from there went on till midnight. Then the locals started their antics, as they do, so I had a disturbed night until about 3 am. Not the hotels fault. Just the way things are these days.

Disappointing for the cost

The room was clean and warm. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

I checked in late because I was working. The music was so loud that I couldn’t hear the receptionist speak. Then I got up to my room and the loud music continued until the early hours of the morning when the crowed moved right under my window. As the noise went the pipes in the hotel started banging, so loud that I thought someone was knocking on my door.

Breakfast and choices were great, and the staff facilitated our son and partner for breakfast even though they were later down, Our rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable, Location was perfect, as everywhere we needed to go was within walking distance.

While the rooms were smaller than the standard modern hotels, we appreciated it was an older hotel, and I must say that the rooms were were very clean and comfortable and had all the usual extra toiletries, so on reflection it was perfect for our stay.

The room was decent size. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was comfortable.

I didn't like when I arrived they wanted to take my card details. I understand the night receptionist was doing his job but the information he was given was wrong. It was 1 person staying not 2. I already paid via booking APP. Which when I went to my room they called me downstairs and when I went downstairs they said my card declined. I had to remind them again I already paid. Then they checked on their system after I told them the date of when I booked and paid via Booking. I also didn't like that they didn't provide lotion. Granted I brought my own but it is rare that airports allow travellers to take lotion I also didn't like when I was coming back on Saturday night from spending time doing the activities I did through the day. When the security at door. Was looking at me as if I wasn't a guest. He asked if I was a guest here and I said yes. And he gave me a look of not believing. So I told him the room number. And told him I the have the room key in my pocket.

Price, I stayed in the Slieve Russell 2 weeks ago in a massive bedroom for €126.00. Windows would not open in my room to let in fresh air. Room was very basic with a small double bed, good job my partner is small.

Room, initial room was rather small so asked for upgrade and was given the Diamond Suite. Very good. Ding room staff, all excellent friendly and helpful, food great especially breakfast.

wonderful coffee machine in the room which does NOT make tea, could an alternative kettle be available. We were there at for a couple of very hot days/nights. a fan would have been great. Both very small points
