Lovely place

Geraldine was lovely, breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable

The room advertised was not the room we got, we felt like we were intruding in the evening and weren't told where anything was as the baby was asleep - Geraldine was incredibly friendly the next day though

from the minute we arrived the hosts created a family friendly atmosphere the house and grounds are absolutely beautiful and the whole place absolutely spotlessly clean throughout. The room had a walk in wardrobe which was luxury and an accessible shower which was much appreciated as I have a back problem. Kevin and Geraldine are the perfect hosts in every way and I'm sure it wont be our last time to stay with them its a beautiful part of the country to explore, thank you both, wishing you and your lovely family a very happy Christmas and a busy and prosperous 2026.

Great location for someone travelling down East - Dublin / Kildare etc. Beautiful Guest House, my room was perfect. Hostess, Geraldine, was very friendly and I appreciated the call whilst I was driving down to on a horrible dark, wet evening to check in with me to ask what time I would be arriving, to take it easy and not to be rushing.

This point was due to my own circumstances, not due to the Guest House - I had just a very quick, light breakfast, as I had to be away again very early the next morning - cereal, coffee, yogurt and toast. Geraldine insisted though I take fruit and yogurt with me too.

Deeside Manor was absolutely beautiful — both the home and the surrounding property are stunning and so peaceful. Everything was spotless and so thoughtfully prepared, making it one of the cleanest and most comfortable places we’ve stayed. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed. It was exactly what we needed to end our vacation on the perfect note. I would highly recommend booking Deeside Manor when you’re in the area — you won’t be disappointed!

Not the best stay in Ireland

Large room, friendly host

The room was not cleaned, there was rubbish/sand on the floor, the shower room and toilet had an empty deodorant and an open shower gel hotel case left from the previous tenant. I walk barefoot so I need to wash my feet after walking in the room so I needed to keep socks on. Then I was charged 2E extra comparably to the bill from the booking, was told it is because of VAT...however it was included in 90E bill, so no tips left. The breakfast was served at 08:30, so I helped myself at 07:30 making my own coffee as there was only instant. Perhaps the worst stay in Ireland from my nine nights in different places. Even the dog was not on the lead when I arrived.

Wonderful B&B stay near Bellingham Castle

We stayed here for the distance from Bellingham Castle for a wedding. The room was spotless, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The entire property was fabulous. They provided taxi numbers for us to call to organise transport to & from wedding.

Beautiful Deeside

Kevin and Geraldine were excellent hosts. The accommodation is super with a beautiful meadow garden to the rear which guests can enjoy. I couldn't recommend this property highly enough it's a real 10 out of 10. Also the home made scones and bread were a real treat at breakfast time

Beautiful home with warm welcome.

Rural location, yet within easy drive to the lovely coast and good dinner locations. Lovely garden to enjoy. Freshly made blueberry scones and brown bread for breakfast. Kevin and Geraldine and daughter Tara great hosts. Tara gives great back massage.

A true gem of a Guest House in rural Eire.

The house and grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The room was spacious and well appointed with great attention to detail. We loved the continental breakfast made from locally sourced ingredients, Geraldine and Kevin were very friendly and were excellent hosts, We will certainly be returning.

A true home away from home

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at the home of Geraldine, Kevin and Tara, and we could not have wished for a better experience. They were truly exceptional hosts – warm, friendly, accessible, flexible, and incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their kindness and generosity made us feel immediately at home. The house is absolutely magnificent, with every detail thoughtfully prepared, and the garden is simply splendid – a true haven of peace and beauty. The hygiene was impeccable, and the food… divine! From breakfast to lunch, every meal was delicious and prepared with such care. We honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough – and even that wouldn’t do it justice, because words fall short. Their hospitality is incomparable, and we’re already looking forward to the day we can return.

Great stay

From the entrance looking up to the stairs it was really beautiful. The house is very big, smart and clean very quiet. The rooms were lovely, spacious, the beds so comfortable the white linen very clean and smelling good. The outdoor looking out the window it was so beautiful, the green lawn, nice driveway especially at night with the lights lighting up the yard. Not forgetting the breakfast it was delicious especially the fried eggs🤭l am foodie l can say on food it was great. There’s a lot l can say about our 3 nights stay last but least the hosts are great, they are friendly and very nice so welcoming. l would highly recommend this place and l wish to go back soon the services were exceptional.

I liked the location. The family was very nice , lovely breakfast !

I didn’t like the fact that I booked a room with a hot tub , I specifically choose that room as I have back problems and needed to relax in either bath or hot tub , there was neither as advertised ! The double bed in my room , the mattresses completely sunk in , a new mattress is definitely needed . I ended up sleeping in a single bed . I went for a walk in the morning which was beautiful , when I returned to the house I cuould not get in due to their big dog chasing and growling at me , it was very traumatising and not sure why they would allow that. I looked under the beds to make sure I didn’t forget anything , I couldn’t believe the dirt and empty bottles etc lying under the beds . I suffer from asthma and with not recommend staying In that room due to the dust and dirt
