Simply Fabulous!
Simply fabulous!! We arrived wet and tired after a long day's walk to be greeted by the wonderful Brigitte...so welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. As a trailer was blocking the view from our booked room we were generously given an upgrade to a 2 bed apartment. It was fabulous...clean, bright, modern with all sorts of thoughtful extras. The rest of the hotel followed suit !! Beautiful dining room and terrace with superb mountain views. Buffet style breakfast had a wonderful selection, beautiful breads and simply delicious. A fabulous modern style spa complex, always plenty of room. It also includes a free chairlift and bus pass which was a real bonus for our walking. It's also an easy walk into town if you can bear to leave the lovely hotel !!

Disappointed at various levels
The view from the room and the spa.
The room was poorly equipped; there was no hair conditioner (which is a standard nowadays); the ambiente in the room is rather basic and lot of stuff requires renovation. The most disappointing was dinner in the hotel restaurant. The meal size (we took 2-course menu) was so small that we literally thought it was a joke. The price for each meal was CHF 30, and we were served a fork size of the pasta as first course and then a finger size of the beef as the second course. It was simply a joke and disrespectful. There is far too much stuff in the restaurant, which results in a chaotic "organization", the left hand does not know what the right is doing. We've been asked by 2 waiters 4 times which wine we ordered and waited for it nearly 30 minutes. All in all, very poorly organized hotel. It looks nice from the outside, but huge area for improvement inside.

Ok stay, service and great breakfast, overshadowed by a ruined diner

Diner reservation, table not ready and original given away (maître d‘hotel) Overpriced diner: diner not up to standard (meat preparation, dessert was underwhelming for 15/20 points in Gault Millau?) promised wine refill (by maître -d’hotel) never happened, Cleanup of the billing required in the evening (drinks mixed, diner missing… ) with help of waitress…

Not worth the money!
The staff who served us dinner on our first night and who served us breakfast first two mornings were very helpful.
Breakfast didn’t have a lot of options, no hot food available except the eggs you could order. When asked if there are any hot food available, was rudely told by one lady staff that this is what Swiss breakfast looks like. Our room didn’t have a view, which is ok as they didn’t have availability. However, while allocating our table for breakfast/dinner, we always got same table with no view. Would have been nice to be seated with view some days especially when all other tables were empty. Hotel offered us lift to the bus stop, which was very nice of them. However, the driver was absolutely rude. We decided not to tip him even though we had already taken out money for it. The worst part was this hotel didn’t have step free access. With a toddler on a stroller, it was very difficult to get up and down the hotel. And no staff comes to offer you help. For the price you pay, one can expect to have few services to make your stay better.
