Manor House Hotel experience.

I loved that the Manor house was right next door to the ICC, where we had tickets to an event there. The staff at the Manor were excellent and nothing was to much bother for them if you needed help they were very helpful to me and my disabled friend they went above and beyond to help us so all round a fantastic place to stay.

The only downfall was that the lift was on the first floor so had to go up two flights of stairs to get the lift which was difficult for my friend who was with me.

Room not available. Booking went missing despite being confirmed. Ended up with cheaper room. Very small. Should have had four poster. Was told all Accessible with lifts as I have mobility issues. But has to go up and down two flights. Still waiting to hear back re refund for cheaper room.

Room wasn't allocated for me upon arrival. When I was given a room it was very cold and I couldn't get the programmer to change it, the light at the entrance didn't work and the kettle didn't work. Each of these things was sorted in due course, but not a very pleasant first hour or so after arrival. This gave a very disappointing first impression. Car park was a long walk from the hotel.

Elevator was not in use to third floor bedroom on check in day or check out day - so had to take the stairs with many bags as I was travelling for work

Lovely stay to attend a function at the ICC. Access to the main Hotel and all of its facilities.

We stayed at the Manor House to attend a function at the ICC. The Manor House is the perfect location for this, as it is only a very short walk from the Hotel to the conference centre. The house was comfortable and clean. Our Son was staying up in the main Celtic Manor Hotel, and we joined him for breakfast, just making our way through the elevators and corridors of the complex. This was very convenient to access the main hotel without actually leaving the building.

Terrible heavy handed and pathetic management

The location And that is it

My father has mobility issues , but does need a disability room. Just struggles with stairs. We therefore didn’t book the disability room but advised in the booking we needed either a lift on the floor, or the ground floor and the booking was confirmed When checking in we were told only had a 3rd floor room and no lift. My father had to CRAWL up the stairs on all fours , with zero dignity The staff didn’t seem not care The staff did not offer support Part of our group took this up with the reception staff who kept saying “I can’t help you - that’s what you’ve got” - over and over and over Anyway we got dad settled At 01:00am we were then evicted from the property And since then we’ve been received a letter giving us a permanent and lifetime ban All because we complained ??? These place is a complete disgrace

Room good, Breakfast and dinner fair.

Breakfast could have been hotter. Scallops starter were minuscule, never had queen scallops so small. Very disappointed with this for the cost. Sea bass is good but to much liquid with it. Fruit pie dessert was very disappointing as it resembled a fruit pie sold by McDonald's. Did not expect that from a top-quality restaurant!

Clean and tidy, my room choice although basic was dated, food & drink expensive.

The room at Celtic Manor House was clean and tidy although dated with threads and stains on the carpet, this was a standard room.

There is no parking at the Manor House, you can park to off load luggage then park in the either the underground car park I think £17 a night or the outdoor car park £13 a night, the walk is a good 10 minutes through the main hotel. Although there are lifts and escalators, stairs was required from floor 2 to the main reception of the manor house. Food choices were either restaurant, buffet or pub style pizza and burgers, pricing for all was on the high side, which did not align to the dated rooms.

The Staff were helpful but not many to help with inquiries. Lovely building the bed was comfortable & we had an enjoyable meal at the Pad restaurant

Car parking should be provided & quite a hike to park the car, no instructions for facilities or even where breakfast is served. Would be good to have some outside seating on the terrace.

You got to pay for parking while you’re there £20 overnight. Bottle of water was £5.50. Massive queue to check in and staff very slow. Can tell the people who got money and who haven’t. We stayed in the Manor House bit

The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was full of dust. All surfaces including the bathroom floor were dirty. We were that unhappy we left a day early.

Great Golf, Poor Venue

Golf was great value!

Hotel itself was poor for the money. Long walk from car park, not clear on where to park for the Manor Hotel so not great on arrival. Not told about the extra parking fee. Rooms were dated... The worst though was that there was NOTHING to eat after 9pm!? For an internationally renowned venue I thought that was awful, and it wasn't communicated that would be the case. Having played 9 holes of golf in the summer evening, wanted a late dinner at 9.15 and told that was not possible. Room Service does not do food.

Not much. The food was good

Initially we couldn’t even enter our allotted room because there was no handle on the door. Back to reception to sort it out along multiple corridors and stairs. The parking is unimaginable - a walk of over fifteen minutes up a steep hill with no footpath. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. The carpets are worn, there is no lift below the first floor so you have to carry your suitcases up two flights of stairs before you can use a lift. If it hadn’t been for Muhammad at reception we would have gone elsewhere. He went above and beyond to arrange a convenient parking spot, and a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner.

Full of character, much quieter than the main hotel. Huge comfortable bed and lovely clean bathroom. The Thai restaurant was delicious. The spa was lovely although the jacuzzi sadly wasn’t working

Loved the old features of the Manor House. Spacious room. Thick robes. Excellent spa. Lots of bars/eateries. The Asian restaurant was exceptional! Beautiful views from the rooftop bar/terrace. Can’t wait to go back.
