So much lacking for what should have been a premium stay.

Location

We were offered to spend an extra amount for a 15th floor upgrade. We did this but were unable to log onto the WiFi as it was too remote. When we succeeded in doing this it promptly dropped out. Beds were too soft. We asked for a clean but only the towels and bin were changed. Dirty coffee cups, stains on tables and the bed wasn’t made. We almost ran out of toilet paper!! 12 TV channels was ridiculous for such a major hotel. We tried the prepared coffee at breakfast which was like warm- the dedicated machines were much better.

Our room was tiny and the bed was a small full size with very thin pillows. Expected more for$800 for 2 nights. Did not get good sleep. Staff were nice. Got us extr pillows day 2 after we requested them on day 1.

Poor for the money

Room was way too expensive for the price He was way too small. The bed was pushed up against the corner of the wall, and my wife could not get in on her side. It was also way too small for us We met other people who are staying in different hotels and had much bigger rooms at a lower price We went there to catch a Norwegian cruise

Good hotel to explore Copenhagen.near station and metro

Good location and view over the park. Friendly helpful staff. Able to leave luggage on arrival and departure saving us from carrying about.

Room request for 3 adults. Lack of cups and as is usual in Scandinavia one soft pillow each. No coffee sachets or tea in room. Requests made and easily sorted by staff.

Endured rather than enjoyed.

The view over the lake was nice - once they moved us to the correct room.

Anyone booking a room through Booking.com should be very wary of this hotel’s attitude and be prepared to stand your ground. We booked a Superior Double Room with lake view. This wasn’t what they tried to give us. We challenged them and had to show details of our booking twice before they accepted it. Perhaps they thought they would get away with it because we are an older couple. No hint of an apology.

Great place to stay, location, food, staff all great. Minor issues but would stay again regardless.

Breakfast was excellent, great variety. Location again was perfect and reachable for all places to go to.

We had issues with the AC, wouldn’t blast cold enough air. So we were given a desktop fan at least. One of the windows wouldn’t close properly, we did ask at reception for somebody to have a look and nobody came. The sofa beds made our backs ache a bit.

OK but getting annoyingly greedy

the hotel is still good location and nice rooms, but the staff is increasingly unwelcoming and tries to get more money for many things (like the room is available but you have to pay more to get in before the actual check-in time AND initially wanted to charge an hourly storage fee for my luggage because I would not pay more for earlier check-in). Also the basic rooms don't have a desk / table to work and you're asked to pay extra for a room upgrade (essentially the same size and layout, just with a larger surface to call a desk). This is unnecessary and really diminishes the experience.

Very very Disappointed 👎🏻

The quality of the food is nice but the choices are limited. The hotel is located near the lake.

The attitude of the reception who checked us in on 1/july room 1301 is unacceptably rude. We asked whether the room is non smoking or not and replied”YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THAT”. She gave us room key and mistakenly informed us breakfast was included in our room (the breakfast is not included in our room.) We asked to talk with her manager to informed her the rudeness of this receptionist. She replied “This is her first day working here” The receptionist didn’t say sorry for her bad conduct but the manager did. To conclude , scandic copenhagen is not the same. During my stay I hardly see smiles on the staffs’ faces. We would consider another hotels for my next trip to Copenhagen

Fabulous views, comfortable and clean.

This is my third hotel in Copenhagen and although a little more expensive it was a very clean and comfortable room with air conditioning and great view over Copenhagen.

Disappointing that the restaurant was not open on Sunday night as I was exhausted but hungry. I am not sure if it is part of the cost saving measures but why aren’t face washers provided with the towels?

An excellent shower and general washing facility. Abundant toiletries. The "continental" part of the breakfast looked very good and well stocked. A slightly cramped eating area but manageable. I asked for a room overlooking the lake area - this was achieved. The Receptionists were polite and acted with speed to my two complaints.

The room was very disappointing. I did get my lake view but the windows were filthy. There was a lack of furniture for stowing clothing. No bedside units simply a free-standing wooden table that belonged in a garden. No wardrobe simply a small clothing rack. My partner and I lived out of our suitcases during the whole stay. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very small. I complained and had 2 normal sized pillows onsite the same day. The hotel's policy on cleanliness is poor. The room is not cleaned unless a request is made by the occupants. The smoke detector had been covered with a plastic/elastic combination presumably by smokers. I reported this to the desk - the item was removed the same day. A clear breech of fire and safety regulations. Quite obviously the room had not been checked. Please note that this is supposed to be a Superior Room. Absolutely disgraceful. The "hot" breakfast was laughable. The Hotel has a policy of no fried eggs. So it's scrambled or hard boiled eggs - take it or leave it!! Sausages are the "cocktail" size and bacon just comes as "bits". At 31euros a head I consider this to be very poor value for money for what is on overall offer.

Great location in reputable hotel chain.

There are many Scandic in Copenhagen, this was in a great location by river, and 5-15 min walk to sights. This location is a large tourist hotel. Big breakfast. Room size was fine for 1 or 2 for a short stay. Comfortable bed, good shower. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy access to metro, trains, and hop-on-off busses.

Disappointing despite the friendly staff.

Old building with low ceilings in the room corridors. No floor towel for the bathroom. Odd to be asked to book a time for breakfast, and to book servicing of the room (or maybe this is the future!). Expensive for a very small room, but then everything is expensive in Denmark.

The Room: We were offered an upgrade to a suite for an additional fee, which we gladly accepted. However, it felt more like a large standard room. There was no minibar, and one of the two televisions kept turning on during the night, which frightened my children—eventually, we had to sleep with the TV on mute. The bathroom was very basic, with a plain white design and malfunctioning shower. The overall room design was also quite lacking. I think this should be noted when offering a suite; otherwise, it should just be called a regular room. Additionally, checking out required waiting in a long line just to return the two room keys. This could be easily resolved with an express checkout option, such as leaving the key cards in a designated box, or by having more staff available during peak checkout times. When you pay the price for a suite, you're more likely to notice all the details. In my opinion, the room was not worth the cost, for the reasons mentioned above.

Great location, lovely staff and fabulous breakfast on one of the mornings.

I really missed not having a kettle and tea/coffee in my room. Would have preferred that to an ironing board and iron. And I found the Sunday breakfast rather stressful as it was the busiest dining hall i had ever been in. Not helped by the fact that after queuing ages for a lift down from 14th floor to breakfast (there's no stair option except alarmed fire stairs) then to get the food, I left my untouched full plate on a table and went off to get coffee and came back to find my breakfast had been binned by a waiter and so I had to go again with much poorer options as the breakfast was then closing. Thankfully my next morning's experience was much better.

Location was very central

Price- quality was really poor. Hotel facilities are very old and poor maintained. You are charged extra for an umbrella and for leaving your luggage after check out. No toiletries in the bathroom. Room was not cleaned and there was spider net all over the windows. I would not recommend it.

Pleasant

We really like the location, its just walking distance for everything you need to see in the city. The breakfast was ok not so much choices.

We didn´t like the pillows of hotel. It was very small and flat that almost you dont have pillow at all. Scandic Copenhagen should upgrade the pillows because now a days most hotels has a very comfy big hotel pillows. Don´t fool your customers of what you post on the pictures when they´re booking. The parking, when I booked it says its free parking but the free parking was by the street and it was full.
