My friend was celebrating her 80th birthday, and was given a very accessible, downstairs room. She loved it! She also loved Miss Pickles, the pup, since she was missing her own little one from home. What a great stay we both had at The Happy Pig!

This was my sixth trip to Ireland, and I have to say, The Happy Pig is now my TOP favorite place to stay. It was so clean, comfortable, private, and charming. The owner has personality-plus and makes you feel welcome and cared for. My friend, who walks with a cane, was absolutely thrilled there was a downstairs bedroom available. My bedroom upstairs had a beautiful view. Miss Pickles, the pup, who made an appearance, was as sweet as could be. The sitting room was beautiful and we enjoyed chatting with some other guests and having tea with them. (I was feeling very spoiled!) However, nothing compares to the delectable breakfast that was provided. So many choices! So beautifully presented! I will dream about the banana walnut muffins and the French toast. Thank you, Irma, for a wonderful stay! I hope Kenmare knows what a gem they have in their midst! Can’t wait to get back someday!
