vet very very very disappointing

The personnel is very friendly but seems that they cannot take any decision to satisfy the guests.

The lift were not working and it was said to us that the issue occured on thursday (we arrived on friday) but reading the reviews, it seems that this an old problem. WSe had a room in the 9th floor and the ladies offered us their help to bring our luggage, of course i refused it. On saturday, we came back to our romm at 17h30 and the room was not cleaned. As a compensation, we were offered 2 free drinks, what a poor solution to keep custo+ers happy. The breackfast is very poor, you have to choose a menu, I never saw that before. The hotel claims to have 4 stars but desrves ONLY 2. It seems that the managers do not care about all the reviews, I read them back to August and nothing changed, they better try to do something to make custo+ers coming back. For me, it is the first and last time. @ Booking.com: The pictures shown looks nice but the realitu is differente, if you care about your customers, you should take this hotel from your list.

Perfect Hotel next to Swiss border, pet friendly with a restaurant.

Perfect location next to the Swiss border. Brilliant pet friendly restaurant serving Mexican food at a very reasonable price. Car park with lots of Police Cars parked in it helped us to sleep well.

disappointed by the recent changes..

dinner at the hotel is always a pleasure, good variety and quality for a decent price

We use it several times a year on our way back and forth to Italy We choose it not only for the very handy location (just on exit of the motorway before the Swiss border but also for the good quality offering for dinner AND breakfast. I already commented on the nice dinner but I am very disappointed with the frankly illogic changes to the breakfast. They used to have a FANTASTIC buffer for breakfast which gave us an amazing variety of options, where ANYONE would be able to get an amazing meal. They changed it to A la Carte menu, which is not only LESS SATISFACTORY in terms of variety and overall quality, it is also as expensive as a high quality buffet breakfast at any of the top hotel chains (Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton)... 19 Eur, and they even charge you for a coffee refill.. One last remark: only one working elevator since the start of the year and no solution in sight apparently..

The breakfast menu is a solution to a non-existent issue.

As of June 23rd, the breakfast offering changed from a buffet to a selection of fixed menus. Unfortunately, none of the new options include the items I usually enjoy when staying at this hotel. In my opinion, the switch to fixed menus is a downgrade and may lead to increased food waste. I also might look at different hotels which do offer the buffet especially when I have to travel with the kids.

Very good located hotel with a nice breakfast

The breakfast was excellent, having all you need to start your day. Also, the location is very good (when you are traveling by car). Friendly staff.

I could give the hotel five stars, but because of an issue with the elevators, I wouldn't. Two of the three elevators were out of service. You could say, "Ah, these things happen, especially during a long weekend when it's hard to find professionals to fix them," but then you look at the inspection plate on the working elevator and see that the annual inspection was supposed to happen three months ago...

Old but not gold, comfy enough with a great breakfast

It’s great to have free parking available. Though the hotel is situated in an industrial area (which makes it easily accessible with a car), the grounds are set up as a green and quiet location. The breakfast is really good and extensive offering everything from hearty to sweet options. In the evenings the restaurant serves good Mexican style food. We found the bed to be comfy and the the shower to have good water pressure. Our room seemed to be really quiet.

The whole place has seen better days, seemingly having been set up in the 70s or 80s and staying unchanged ever since. Furniture, bathroom and carpet appeared very old. I did not dare to turn on the AC because it‘s probably older than me. Only one of the three elevators was working which caused long waiting times e.g. at breakfast time. The staircase did not feel like a decent alternative to us. I am not sure whether I consider the price we payed appropriate for the state of this establishment.

Excellent value for money! Big room, comfortable bed, really excellent breakfast. Kind staff. Pet friendly. We have appreciated the Mexican restaurant. The hotel is just out of the highway, which makes it ideal for a stop on a North-South journey. It will be a reference for our future travelling plans.

Comfortable old-school hotel with good breakfast

Room was great size and clean. Breakfast was good and ample of options. Staff very friendly. Loads of parking spots. Elevator available and to 4 doors away from room.

It was a bit rusty! Pictures on website suggest high expectations but it is an old-school hotel that slept 15+ police vans the night we stayed! And it was quite pricey considering it was in Germany and not in Switzerland.

Nice staff, easy to find, easy check in/out, lovely breakfast. liked the soft and clean bedding. Big room, big bed.

Hotel is quite dated. Bathroom had lots of damage (tabs, toilet, heating) and as the windows couldn't open it was damp in the room.
