It was right next to the tram line, so convenient!

The rooms are carpeted which I don’t like because you can’t really get carpet clean and people walk around in shoes.

Great & convenient location next to the tram station.

The breakfast was good. The room was functional, and met my needs. Best of all for me was the location as it was just acoss the street from the No 8 tram station. A good option for those who wish to visit Basel without the cost of a Swiss hotel.

Room was slightly on the small side, but otherwise very comfortable.

A good convenient hotel for visitors to Basel.

A clean, modern hotel situated in Germany, right on the border with Switzerland and just over the bridge from France. Rooms are reasonably sized for this type of hotel. Staff were very welcoming. Parking in underground car park cost €8 per night. The hotel is situated across the road from a shopping centre with a massive hypermarket and cafes. Several ethnic restaurants nearby but limited German options. Tram for short ride into Basel centre leaves from opposite the hotel.

Not a criticism of the hotel but the Basel Card which gives discounts for entry into the exorbitantly priced museums in Basel is only available to guests of hotels located in Switzerland. The museum admission rates in a wealthy city like Basel (30 Swiss Francs for the Art Museum) are a disgrace.

This is a motel

I like the location of this hotel. It is close to where I need to be for work. Breakfast is overpriced but decent. There is AC but it is noisy.

This hotel is really a motel. The rooms are gross. There is only a bed, nowhere else to sit. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom smells of sewer if you have the drain open and the corners in the shower and vanity were dirty. The carpet is very short so it doesn't seem clean so you must wear shoes at all times. The AC sounds like gurgling water running through pipes and it lasts all night. The price asked for these basic, dirty rooms is really astounding. It should cost no more than €70 for these conditions.

Very good hotel but expensive

Functional clean B&B with air conditioning, which is a real plus and not something other hotels in the area necessarily provide. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Very expensive for the room provided – over €460 per night - the Eurovision song contest was being held close to the hotel in Basel and the hotel increased prices significantly for the night. It may be a cheaper, more normal price outside of a key event such as this being held in the area would apply.

Great Find

Location so near trams, restaurants and shopping centre.. Price and considering the room had three single beds it was quite spacious. I would use this hotel again if in the area.

Air conditioning took a long time to cool the room, but to be fair ther0e were three of us in the room in exceptionally hot weather.

Our motorcycle route through Europe

Free safe parking. The staff were very accommodating and nice. The room was spacious.

There were some issues with overparking and some parking spots being blocked by other guests.

Would probably staying again but make booking directly with the hotel

Very close to public transport. Multicultural restaurants nearby. Underground parking. Good insulation, no noice from outside

Flexibility on room price. Originally booked as a double room. 3 weeks prior to the date I rang Hotel to see if I could change the reservation, either single room or single occupation as my wife had to go urgently back to her family due to a medical issue. Hotel said not responsible as booked through booking com. When I rang booking com they told me it is not possible to make a decision but they shall check with Hotel if possible. Never heard again. At time of check-in receptionist knew about situation as I spoke to her about it over the phone. She told me a reduction is not possible as it was booked that way. Not a very customer friendly approach, especially as it was a room with 2 individual beds. Only one bed needed to be changed, less bath towels, less toilet paper, less soap, less water and enery...under such circumstances I can't recommend a room booking trough booking com. It is not the question about 10 Euro cheaper per night, it is more the principle and the time spent for nothing.

I only have good words about this Hotel. Location is great if you want to visit Basel. Parking is available at the location for no supplementary fee. The breakfast? One of the best I have ever had in the many trips in Europe I’ve been to. The hotel is also really clean and the personnel is kind and helpful. I will surely come back.
